Once all Phases are complete, these will be filled out, put in alphabetical order (By CAG username) and will include much more information.
The sellers will be PMing the winners if their items after the sale to arrange payment. Please try to keep your outgoing PMs to them (and me! :whistle2:#) to a minimum as our bixes will fill quickly!
Also, remember that you will be expected to pay $2 per item shipping. If that turns out to be too high for an individual seller, they may refund you a portion of the money after they have shipped. Please don't try negotiating before package is shipped. The rules were pretty clear and it will be very easy for everyone if you expect the worst (high shipping) and hope for the best (a refund).
Finally, again, the #marked items will be charged as actual shipping. Your sellers will help you out with that when the time comes.

Shipping/Payment:
As this is a special event being held by multiple great CAGs, the shipping will be $2 per item to balance things out. In the event that you happen to win multiple items from one CAG and grossly overpay on shipping, they will certainly refund you some of your payment.

Seriously, most items over 5 ounces will probably cost at least $2 to ship, and that's not including shipping materials and handling. If you did buy multiple items from a user, there might be a chance that the cost will be lower, dont worry most CAGs are trustworthy enough to refund you. On top of that, the price of the postage is on the package that you receive.

To stick with the not trying to be a hardass theme, I would also like to stress this point "grossly overpay on shipping" as listed in the OP.

I think it would be unrealistic to expect that some people have no costs or fees associated with packing materials and such.

Rest assured, I have ran 8 previous lowballs and have paid much more on shipping than what was brought in. In that time, I have made one refund to a buyer when he bought many light items. I hadn't promised it before hand, I just thought it was fair.

Frankly, if you come into this sale looking to be taken advantage of, then you don't know me or the guys taking part very well.

I wanted to put this together simply to avoid many of the pitfalls from some (certainly not all) of the other lowballs such as gouging on shipping, shady bidding practices, questionable listing techniques and such.

Now, I suppose I'll jump down off this big ass soap box and get back to updating.

I typed this all spur of the moment off the top of my head, so if it seems a little harsh in any areas I apologize, but I felt that the integrity of the people participating was being questioned and I was just not to happy about that.

I didn't come into this sale looking to be taken advantage of. I go into every sale looking to be taken advantage of. Nothing personal.

That said, all I am saying is that I expect to pay real-world shipping costs. Not CAG-world shipping costs.

What would you charge for shipping costs then? Most people need to buy the supplies and also pay for postage (considering some are sending it from across the Big Pond its actually not a bad deal).

I personally have no problem with the shipping as I understand that its hard enough to make money on these.

There is nothing hard to understand but then you are expecting the seller to pay these costs out of their own pocket in hopes that the buyer reimburses them.

If the seller and a buyer dispute about whether or not something "should" have cost this much or that much, the seller could be SOL on shipping charges which isn't fair.

ALL lowball auctions (or at least, any that you should consider bidding on) have an explicit disclaimer about shipping costs. If you don't like it don't bid. It's a pretty simple concept.

If I had everything on my page listed for a penny but with massive shipping charges, no one would go for it because they would see that. It's up to the seller to create a situation where the buyer wants to buy.

And...judging by the responses here...dv8 and the other sellers have a pretty fair set-up where people are interested in bidding despite the flat rate shipping cost.

And again, if you don't like it, feel free to take your bidding elsewhere.

I will bid on what I want and point out anything and everything I feel is unfair. You don't get to tell me what to do. The fact that you automatically resort to the like it or leave it response makes you out to be an outrageous prick who leaves no room for discussion. Just because it's been a certain way for a while doesn't mean its right. All you're upset about is that what I'm saying is breaking the illusion of how much something may cost.

If I pay for three guides and media mail says the cost for delivery was $2.50 - I expect $3.50 back minus the cost of the envelope. The end. I also expect a receipt for the cost of the envelope by the way now that you mention it. All I'm doing is laying out my expectations for how I expect shipping to be handled. You're the dumbass thinking that I'm asking senders to mail first without collecting shipping from me. Go away.

As it is I have more than 200$ worth of bids lined up. As someone will to spend this much money, I thought I'd be treated a little better.
