A-Team (2010) Single Disc + Digital Copy & The Expendables 3 Disc BR $12.99 @Amazon

How am I douchebag? She said order the item, you'll get the promo. I did and then she told me I didn't qualify. I rushed to the order page to cancel it but it was already shipping out. So she told me to order the item under false pretenses and when I found out, I got upset. So please explain how I'm the douche in this situation.

It was supposed to qualify, but they placed some type of promotion lockout when they lowered the price so no one can use them, even though they had two legitimate promotions active.

I tried buying it with one of the five dollar off titles, which was emblazoned multiple places, and their checkout refused the deduction, even though I saw four or five pages with the promotions stated. I decided not to even place the order, with such ridiculousness. It's still on the page even.

Honestly, customer chat is successful most of the time, but the representatives do seem to toy with you, such as playing dumb to not honor promotions. I know they are not always fully briefed and informed, but still, they are just getting jollies at some points. You were messed with, and said nothing wrong, other than asking if you were being trolled, which seemed like a rhetorical question in this case.

Wasn't that promo supposed to be for the BR/DVD/DC only? If that's the case, you knew it wasn't supposed to qualify, and you sir are a douchebag.

However, if it was supposed to qualify for the purchase, then there's no harm. You were just trying to get the promo to work and save a couple bucks.

I didn't read through the three pages, so pick which scenario fits it, and that's my opinion:applause:

Just rented Inception but the credit isn't showing up when I go through checkout for the DVD. How long is it supposed to take?

Edit: Never mind. It took like an hour. Man, I'm impatient. But I guess that's what happens when your interactions with the site are usually lightning fast. >_

You got upset way too quick assuming Amazon was giving you a hard time and lying to you, when they were just confused about the promotion. You would have gotten the exact same result if you would have reacted nice (rather than upset) when they told you the promo didn't apply. There was no reason for you to take it to the level you did.

Edit: On second thought, maybe I'm wrong. Just had an annoying chatlog with them.

You are now connected to Anu K V from Amazon.com.

Me:I rented The Expendables via Video on Demand today. According to Amazon's "On Demand Plus Promotion, I am now eligible to receive $4 off the purchase of The Expendables Blu Ray. I added The Expendables Blu Ray to my cart, and proceeded to checkout, but the $4 discount, is not showing up. Instead, I'm being charged the full price. Please help.12:20:18 PM

Me:Just to be clear, I'm not having any problems with the Video on Demand digital purchase. The problem is that I'm not receiving the credit from Amazon's "On Demand Plus" Promotion for purchase of the Blu Ray physical disk. Here's the link [REMOVED]. Will a Video on Demand Specialist still be the best person to help?12:25:13 PM

Anu K V:You are not charged for this order.12:27:23 PM

I didn't read through the three pages, so pick which scenario fits it, and that's my opinion:applause:[/QUOTE] The code worked for the single disc and was advertised for use on both versions, as did a five off another title, until they lowered the price and silently altered the promotions, but still kept all advertisements of the promotions shown and still running until January 31.

FoS used a legitimate code on the proper product. (insert act of violence) against those who do as such!

I just rented TS3 and Expendables (had about $15 VOD credit, so when one didn't give me a code, I tried the other). Still no code, so, I just ordered it and shot CS an e-mail. Like someone else, I must just be impatient. I'm used to everything being practically instant, so having to wait an hour or more for a code is a no-go for me, since I don't want to miss out on the deal.

LOL everytime I see these chatlogs with the names of the reps, I think of that commercial now "This is Peggy". Great stuff. I know it's annoying people, but just call customer service, I usually I get someone who is quite helpful, and more importantly, speaks English. I always want to go to the chat too, and every damn time I get someone who appears to be from a third world country.

I got upset too quick? The chat rep insisted I place the order when obviously they knew nothing of the COMEDYS3 promo code. Then they tell me that I will not get the promo, despite assuring me I would get it and the reason they get for me not being eligible is from another promo I never mentioned to them. So yes, after explaining to them twice that they were talking about a promo I never brought up, and them telling me to place an order with the assurance that my promo code would be honored, it did feel like I was getting trolled. Sorry if my usage of the word 'trolled' was inappropriate to some of the board members. ;)

Just got an e-mail back from them. They said it entered the shipping phase by the time they were able to respond to my e-mail, so they gave me a $5 promotional credit to use on the website -- oh, and also, I just got my $4 credit towards the purchase of (if I so choose) another copy of The Expendables. So... yeah, I love you, Amazon.

Ordered Expendables, True Blood, and The Other Guys at noon on Christmas Eve and both came in today from Amazon Prime. Goddamn I love Amazon.
