Given the extreme YMMV nature of Walmart deals/clearances, it makes absolutely no sense to make a new thread every time someone finds a new deal at their local Walmart. So, if you happen to find a good deal, save the forum some clutter and post in this thread.

Please include the store location (City, state, etc), as well as the item and price.

Were there any copies of Uncharted 1 available? I wonder if that Walmart was actually intending to put Uncharted 1 on clearance but messed up somewhere during the process.

It wasn't just the one game and it was not only marked, but rang up at $15. He just got one hell of a deal. Good for him, finally a CAG getting a great deal without exploiting the system.

just got back from walmart and all the good games was gone. i saw they had mag for 15 as well but was sold out. i asked the video game attendant and he said it was gone quick when they put it for 15. i also called all the walmarts around me and they all sold out of mag. dont know if all of them was 15 cause i just went to one of them.

WTF, I wish I had your "problem" lol. Here is what you do. Go to another Wal-mart and get the game, no matter what the price is. Go back to the cheap Wal-mart and return the game then buy it back immediately.

DO NOT ASK FOR A PRICE ADJUSTMENT.

To do a price adjustment, the CSR has to come turn a key and crap.
 
I believe you Shawnsmooth because I experienced the same thing back in October when I got The Godfather 2, MGS4 as well as other PS3 games for $5 (see Atl CAG forum in Oct).

It's very YMMV. It's the Electronics Manager's call. The Manager explained to me the games are considered "Out of The Mod" at that particular store. I didn't know what that meant. A fellow Atl CAG Dogmae explained it to me:

From Dogmae:

"MOD" is basically insider language for designated shelf space. AKA game not on MOD means it doesn't have a place to go. So just like Target clearance they are making room for new games. However at Walmart each store's department managers can do their own markdowns, so thats why you won't find the same price at all stores."

This is more than likely the case at your store.

My walmart's have never had an unadvertised deal, the one closest to me doesn't even wanna give advertised deals. when they had the 360 holiday bundles the worker argued with me for 10 minutes that it didn't come with a gift card. i went to the other store and got the system + the gift card.

My store will put something on clearance, and when it doesn't sell, just return it to regular price, and not a good clearance either like 4 dollars off which is really more of a sale than a clearance. I've seen them do that twice.

Hmmm....let's give $3 off this 4-5 year old game. Damn. It's not selling. Push it back up to MSRP.

Boy I wish I could get in on Target deals once while. My target, and yes there is only one, is about 2-4 weeks behind on a sale. So when it's posted here at 75% off, its just 25 or 30 at the local store and rarely gets past that before someone picks it up. Probably because we don't have Best Buy, Frys, Microcenter... heh, lost our two Dominos even and our Game Crazy too.

Idk, My store has had some killer deals. Lego games for $5, 360 and ps3 games for $10. Wal-mart is also a good place to find some rare games. I remember one time last summer I went into one and found 6 copies of Tales of the Abyss. $$$$
 
Don't bother going to Wal-Mart, everything is gone, their game shelves are wiped out. Although I will say that I got a LOT of good stuff! :D

Although they do have some PS3 DJ Hero bundles for for 60.00

We don't have any Fry's, Microcenter or Hastings around here(PA), but we're getting hhgregg, which is supposed to be like a carbon copy of Circuit City.

They're moving into old storefronts once occupied by CC stores. But hopefully they have the occasional GOOD clearance because since CC went under it seems like BB has less and less reason to do good deals anymore.

As for the Targets by me, they normally don't have crap that makes it to 75% off, unless someone stashes it and waits for the % to drop.

I found 2 copys of Eye of Judgement at my walmart this week for $19.99. I'm not sure if that has been mentioned in this thread yet....jump on it!!
 
Saw the Point Lookout/Broken Steel PC expansion for FO3 for $10 at the Grove City, PA Wally World. I may pick it up when I go back up there Wednesday simply because it's cheaper than buying the GOTY edition.(I'd just have to pick up The Pitt and Mothership Zeta then since I already have Operation Anchorage)

Fairytale fights is crap, but there is only one of those in there, all the really good stuff is hidden in the stack. Went back today and they had marked everything back up to full price. No idea why they did this, but I sure as hell was going to take full advantage of it.
 
I can't say I blame you really. I'd have done the same. But the way people act on here lately when someone says 'I got X of a certain game on sale', you'd think you slapped their significant other across the mush with a brick.

I just wish my local WalMart stores had deals like these, but as I said prior their idea of a 'clearance' price is $5 off MSRP.
