This. Very easy with a 1139 alarm. Gotta love iPhone & wifi

Had Hannibal in the cart, read the review of the transfers and lack of special features, and thought better of it. I only truly enjoyed Silence of the Lambs anyways.

I had forgotten about Scarface, probably because I've had that set for ages, but that clue...man, wth? Sometimes they are really reaching.
I thought they were 10.00 a piece.
The Walmart I went to had them for $5.00 a piece actually. I've never seen any of the three films, although I've heard that they are pretty good.

So since its Cyber Monday coming to an end, does this mean all of Amazons pre-black friday till now sales and lightning deals are officially over? or will we see a new round at midnight?

not sure. I guess we'll find out tonight!
I also got a $5 VOD credit for my $2 Superbad :br:, too bad I don't care about it
If you don't want it, I'd gladly take it off your hands ;)
Just noticed Planet Earth (BBC) Blu-ray for $35.99: http://www.amazon.com/Planet-Earth-...ef=sr_1_1?s=dvd&ie=UTF8&qid=1291145262&sr=1-1

That's a pretty good price for that right? I've read that it's a great way to showcase your blu-ray player.
Probably the best you'll find the BBC version in the US (discovery version is cheaper), but Amazon UK has it for around $27 shipped. The UK version has an extra disc as well.

OK, I had to look back several pages to see what this mystical "BTTF" was that everyone was so excited about. I guess I missed some sort of lightning deal. They ought to be outlawed before noon Pacific IMO ;).

In any case, why would something like Back To The Future be such a hot thing? And for $25? I remember seeing that in the theater when it first came out and, well, I never felt the need to see it again. I guess this was a collection? I don't even remember there being sequels.

Some of you kids are too nostalgic for the 80's. That's a decade that, personally, I think should be wiped from history ;). I don't think much of anything good came out of it (and note I graduated from high school then).

Back to the Future just came out like 2 weeks ago, and had been around $35+ until this week, so everyone was trying to snag themselves a copy.

The Dark Knight has been out for over 2 years I think, and it has readily been available for under $10 for the past year I'd say (with the Batpod and Mask editions being super cheap) and available for $5 for the past month I'd say, but don't quote me on that because I haven't been following it too closely.

I think your joking or maybe I just hope your joking because all I can say if your not is holy shit.

How the hell do you not love the Back to the Future trilogy? Do you have no soul?

My only guess is someone hacked his account and made that post. Otherwise, blasphemy, pure blasphemy!

To be honest, I can't say how I'd feel about the movie if I was an adult (or teen) in the 80's and saw it in theaters. It makes me feel like there are movies that we like now, that younger/future generations are going to adore and make a cult hit 20 years from now, and our generation are going to be all "seriously?!"

I'm with "io" on this one. The first BttF is tolerable. The other 2 have always sucked. But I welcome the younger generation's obsession with the 80s because it is very profitable for me. ;)

WTF? You're on crack. I would gladly take anything from the 80's or 90's over this past decade. The world went to shit after the millennium.

Amazon Prime's free 2-day shipping continues to baffle me (in very good ways). Like, I understand why they might combine items from different orders to reduce costs on their end. But I just got my November 28th order, and they threw in a blu-ray that had I ordered at 3:36PM yesterday.

OMFG io!!! And to think I used to like you. Such venemous blasphemy against the modern golden age. Not much of anything good came out of the 80's?!??!?!?!? OMFG I think my head is going to explode. I can't even take it I need to remove myself from this thread before I say some very hurtful things in response.

What you've said here is akin to a baby boomer or genXer (never mind a genY or gen millenium doing it - they would be drawn and quartered and deservedly so) going up to a member of the silent generation or greatest generation and saying nothing much good came out of their efforts in the 40's-60's. Except that you'd be a member of the silent generation or greatest generation, bashing your own generation. GD it, io...you've wounded me deeply. LOL

updated the op, thought about keeping this thread for the Holiday lightning deals that are ongoing each day.

this is the first time I've seen "Movies & TV" pop up in a while, but I'll keep an eye out for more deals in the days to come.

today's lightning deal hints at coraline

updating the op as we speak

EDIT:

Had it all typed up and accidentally lost it because I pressed back.... I'll retype it tomorrow, or later on tonight. one of the two.

The link is in the OP, feel free to check it out. Some highlights include Pirates Trilogy, Sound of Music Collector's Edition, Alice in Wonderland Amazon Exclusive Film Cell Set, Dark Knight with Batpod, and the Owl Ship Special Edition of Watchmen

Agreed^

This sale is going to kick my ass, especially since The Town comes out on the 17th. I'm totally in for the Pirates Trilogy. Any ideas how much they'll price it?

I think the Alice Film Cell Set is the better choice myself - close race with Watchmen. Depending on price , i might grab it even if it loses.

Of the upcoming week sales, I got my eye on Moon & Scrubs.

What's up with the Heroes S1&2 set being $150 normal price, though?

I'm just glad the Dark Knight one is probably going to lose. I'm going to jump on either of the other two for $14.99. I'd prefer it be the Watchmen one, but I'd still be happy with the Alice one too.

I don't see the logic in voting for Watchmen, the movie alone is around 7.99. I just don't see the appeal in buying movies for toys, unless you're an infant or a 40 year old virgin.

personally I'd much rather the Alice in Wonderland set since I'd really like that film cell set.... even though I have Alice already.

not all too into Watchman :\

going to attempt to re-type this list, hopefully I don't delete it this time -.-

My guess is that we'll see that for $60 - $70 when it goes live on sale.

DAmn it, I bought Watchmen DC during BF, and now this? I'd rather get something I don't already have, but that set looks sweet. And I heard Alice wasn't great.
How the hell do you vote? I swear, I must be retarded but I don't see any option to vote, just a list with pictures and links to the product pages.
I also couldn't find a way to vote... maybe its over?

I haven't been able to find a way to vote since the page went live... I have no idea

I hope Alice in Wonderland catches up and wins. Both The Dark Knight and Watchmen are pretty cheap Blu Rays, and you will never see a Disney BD combo pack at 14.99 without a coupon or promotion. It seems logical to me to vote for Alice.
