Pre-Order Borderlands 2 from us for 10% off and help me get a tattoo! Yes it activates on Steam!

I am a huge Borderlands 2 fan and I want this to be our best selling pre-order ever. So I've drawn a line in the sand. If, from now until launch, we take 40,000 more preorders than where we were on 7/2/2012 I will get a Borderlands tattoo on my back.

Anyone know how the code for Tomb Raider: Underworld redeems? I don't think it's Steam -- just curious if it's possible for me to trade although it seems like it's probably just a serial activation key and I've no idea how I'd trade the actual client.

Are you sure it's not the GFWL code? You can't trade those without the ability to trade the client. That's why someone earlier was thinking of buying the Square Enix collection just to get TR Underworld, and then selling the rest of the steam keys.

Could be, I've never used GFWL.
I bought The Last Remnant. My first JRPG game for my computer. It is good to have a little bit of diversity. I was having mixed thoughts of buy this game. I heard really bad things about it like bad technical issues on the console and really good things about it from the fans, but it turns out the PC version got a major overhaul compared to it's console counterparts. Glad i bought it.
Thanks for that brief review. As one of the pricier titles listed, I was pretty skeptical.. But when you have a desire for a good JRPG, there really aren't too many other options out there on PC.
Is Stronghold Collection working on Steam?
Nope. It's not the one listed. Later they will put up a 'Steam activatable' version.

Speaking of which... I don't suppose it's possible to get a Steam version of Amalur, eh? Come on now, 38 studios is about to go bankrupt -- show me 'da sales!

I kinda want in on the Arma 2 hype also - but I see no (Steam) notation, so does that mean it won't activate there? I see people in my friends list playing Arma 2 all the time, but it's freakin' full price on Steam right now... yikes.

I have about 60 games I have yet to touch, and now I add MoH, Metro 2033, and Bioshock 1 & 2 (will trade my 360 version I have yet to play of part 1). Thanks, Tony :D.

Now I just need to look into this Day Z mod for Arma 2 you all are going crazy over. No time for it now, but may be worth getting, regardless. I should have gotten a bigger HDD with my new PC, lol. I've had it for about 2 months & have 500gb already filled up with games (and a little music).

This version of ARMA II does not activate on Steam. ARMA II has been on sale for 7.99 on Steam and Op Arrowhead for 9.99. The pack has not been on sale yet. So if you are willing to wait I am sure you can get the Steam version eventually for just a bit more.

I've read online (but you should double check) that you can play the DayZ mod with ARMA II Free and Operation Arrowhead, so if you have no interest in the base game you could just get the Op Arrowhead part and use ARMA II Free.

I love love a Steam redeemable Amalur from Amazon but it's EA so I didn't even ask. I think someone would have to sell their soul and sacrifice a baby for that sort of deal to ever happen.

Gah, I just bought The Last Remnant. I've been waiting for this game to go on sale for such a long time. Thanks, Tony! Though, if you keep having amazing deals, my wallet will hate you.

We had 2 hamsters volunteer, one for each duty described above...i couldn't let them do it...love those guys.

Cheers,

Yep, I know the version sold on Steam is 'published' by 38 Studios but I'm guessing EA owns the Amazon distribution rights so no go.

Tony,

Can you have one of the hamsters verify the DRM status of the various Sims 3 packs? Three packs list SecuROM on their pages (Late Night, World Adventures, Fast Lane Stuff), but the rest of the items don't mention anything. I'm hoping that EA will eventually figure out that they don't need third-party DRM on games that require Origin, and will release DRM-free versions (especially for packs like the ones listed, which came out in 2009/2010).

(Also, on Page 1, you list "Sims 3: Pirates and Nobles"; that's actually a "Sims Medieval" expansion.)

Thanks!

I think the key is only for securom, and the game is more or less attached to your Amazon account. Doubt you can trade it at all.

if anyone is looking to sell their copies of either just cause 2 or lara croft and the guardian of light from the square enix pack im interested.

PM me!

Tony, can I please get an answer on this? I know you are busy and it seems like this game keeps being asked about, but I just would like somewhat of a final answer as to whether the game has any possibility of going Steam activation at your store. Thanks again for all this.
Tony, I know the fact that Tomb Raider: Underworld is not a Steam key has been beaten to death. What I'd like to know is, if I hold out, is there any way or chance that you guys can get a version that will activate on Steam? Or, is this one of those games that just never will, outside of buying it from Steam directly?
Thanks!
I figured as much -- thanks for the info. Sadly I'll probably never play it.
The front page of CAG mentions Sega, Nordic, and Paradox. There been any hints on what games we're going to see from them?
Alan Wake Collector's Bundle - $17.49
Alan Wake Extras DLC - $4.99
ArcaniA - Gothic 4 - $4.99
ArcaniA - Fall of Setarrif - $3.74
AURA: Fate of the Ages - $1.24
AURA 2: The Sacred Rings - $1.24
NiBiRu: Age of Secrets - $2.49

As for Paradox and Sega, stay tuned, but I can tell you CKII will be a price that will make you all go nuts...

Hey dude,

My bad, I thought I answered this. We definitely won't have a Steam key offering for this game during the MAYhem! sale and we don't have any plans to get one post sale as far as I know.

We've got a battery of games we're trying to get in Steam form but that is one that is evading us for some reason.

Again apologies for the delayed response, I really thought I answered this last night.

Cheers,
Tony

Any chance of wowing us with a Diablo 3 sale during MAYhem? :D

I'd be eternally grateful and it would ease the pain of having to wait to play it due to the RMA I had to do on my laptop.

Thanks a lot for the answer, Tony. If I missed your answer on this from last night, sorry I dragged it up again. I know I can grab the Square pack now, no need to wait and see if it changes.

Are you allowed to hint if it will be at least $9.99? Because Impulse is having a flash sale for Crusader Kings II at that price tomorrow with only 500 copies being made available. I'm kind of on the fence whether to grab it but if Amazon will at least match that price then I'll wait.

Sure. He'll get Diablo right up after he gets the Steam keys for EA Games. :p

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that I'm guess he is probably already aware of that [edit: Yep he was] but would still prefer a Steam key. Given that Amazon has been getting Steam keys very recently for some non Steamworks games, both with and without additional DRM, it's not an unreasonable thing to ask.

And yes some of us do prefer Steam to DRM free. ;)

I had my wisdom teeth out this morning and while I was still high I bought the Stronghold Collection. I don't even remember using the computer but that sounds like something I would do. Here's hoping it's good! D/Ling now.

A question about Tera, is it only on sale May 19 and 26th or is it through the 26th? Will likely buy on Saturday as I want to try it out. That is a very good deal(even though it's a free to play in Korea to my understanding) the absolute cheapest I have seen the regular edition for is 35 bucks, so good deal on that.
I believe he said that if he could do that, then he'd be instantly promoted.
haha. Who doesn't want a promotion? I'm sure he could do a few questionable things to get Blizzard to do it. :booty:

Thanks for the deals! Just in the process of putting my new PC together so this sale is perfect! Picked up Metro 2033, Squeenix Collection, and (dont boo me) Finak Fantasy XIV. Should mix in well with BF3 and Diablo 3 when I pick those up.

Also contemplating Divinity II? Not sure if I should with everyting else.

I'm not sure on this...apologies, anyone who has purchase The Sims games from us care to chime in while I ask my ops team?

On a side note...I just got out of a meeting with an SDE and he assures me we'll have an attribute above the fold that is standardized for DRM display within the next couple of month...HOOORAH!

Divinity II: Dragon Knight Saga is really good.
I'd compare DKS to say KOA: Reckoning and Fable series.

Amazon really should put in an additional step for this in the checkout process. When you click the "Buy" button, it should ask "Are you sure you're not high right now?"

Yeah it might have saved me. It's funny my wife said she was watching me do it, and told me that I should not be be shopping online. She then said I put up a very coherent argument about how it was on sale, that I had a coupon and that this was my favorite game. She said thought I was coming out of it. I ended up buying Bioshock for Steam and said the same thing almost verbatim before she made me go back to bed.

She told me about it later and I remember none of it, though I feel fine now.

In a way checking my email when i woke up was a little like Christmas, cause I had no idea I had bought my self presents!

@TONY
With all this Diablo 3 madness, did you guys think of having a ARPG madness sale?

Maybe talk to some different companies and get their ARPG's on sale for a week?
i.e. Sacred: Gold Edition; Dawn of Magic 2; etc.

Also...any reason THQ ain't gave you Titan Quest: Gold Edition (Titan Quest and its expansion Titan Quest: Immortal Throne)?

SIDE NOTES:
I already own Sacred: Gold [bought both Sacred + Underworld from Retail] and TQ + Immortal Throne [from Retail].
Just thought maybe some gamers might be wanting some ARPG's, since they might not have Diablo 3...
And no, I don't have D3, either... :p
