From Electronic Arts:

Games that activate on Origin

Per MysterD's suggestion:

Here's the Steam Key Activation Page List.

NOTE: This list is incomplete so if you're unsure you still want to ask in the thread.

I'll be posting this a few times in this thread. I also post this regularly whenever people ask about activation limits with Amazon Game Downloads:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html/ref=hp_200205020_times?nodeId=200205020&#times

How many times can I download my games or software?

You can download an unlimited number of times for personal use. To re-download, go to Your Games and Software Library through the "Your Digital Items" link at the top of the screen and click the download button.
Can I download and install to multiple computers?

For video games: Each game manufacturer has a different policy on how many installations are allowed with each product key. If you run out of installations for the product key you originally purchased from Amazon, please contact Customer Service and we will happily provide you with another key at no additional charge. You can install an unlimited number of times for personal use, however additional copies of the game for friends or family must be purchased separately.
Amazon had it for 9.99 for a short time over the holidays I believe
Right now, if you can get a Square Enix or Deus Ex coupon on Steam, it's cheaper.
The best $10 ever spent is always the Cheap Ass Gamer Pool Pass!
You guys have a pool?!
Okay, I'll bite. What was the best?
I got Mass Effect 2's Deluxe Edition for $10 not even 2 weeks after launch :D
Deus Ex for around $10... has it ever been this cheap or cheaper on steam?
You mean... other than right now?
Spanish THQ website.
With Eurogamer50 50% Off code

Could never buy from THQ, Ubisoft or Origin Store coz they all use Digital River crappy payment service (the famous Payment Authorisation Failed error)

For a few days now I am trying to get Shift 2 from Origin and failed miserably. Tony and Amazon are my main supplier for EA games :D If only Shift 2 was on sale

I'm thinking about grabbing SR3, $25 will be the most I've ever paid for a game

Anyone know where I can find a deal on the Season Pass?

Most? Huh. Well SR3 is well worth it and I'm trying to find a cheap way to get a lot of the DLC as well.
I now have 0.55$ left in my credit card account.
Thanks Tony D, without you it wouldn't have been possible! :D
Ouch!!

Bought payday, can't go wrong for 5 bux. Nice to see you've added the link to just get the keys instead of having to back out and go under my account.

@Tony
Any idea when we gonna find out what next week's Deal of the Week is gonna be?
Does that start tomorrow?
Or after Feb. Farewell Sale ends?

I thought i'd mentioned this, my apologies.

We'll have Stronghold 3 for $14.99...$5 less than it was on Steam for it's weekend deal...where it stayed #1 on the bestsellers for like 2 days...hoping people respond equally as well :).

Cheers,
Tony

Oh well, this deal's not for me...
Its not listed in the thread on Steam, but does AC:Brotherhood activate on Steam?
No.
UbiSoft games use U-Play, their own homebrew DRM and service.
You could always add it as a Non-Steam game through Steam and get...very few Steam benefits [see your Friends list on Steam; take screenshots].
If you want an UbiSoft game to activate and have full-fledged Steam-support [time-played tracking, updates, Friends List, utility back-up, and other stuff via Steam], you'll have to get it through Steam.

Well I think I'm done

picked up Payday X2, Supreme Commander FA, Sim City 4 Deluxe, RF:A DLC.

I am on the fence with Darkness 2....I just see that game dropping even faster and I have a huge backlog...

I'm not on the fence w/ Darkness 2.

5 dollars by the Steam summer sale

I'm having a hard time deciding on whether or not to buy RF:A + the DLC now, or to wait for possibly the whole series to go on sale as a package deal on Steam. I know they had the whole series on Steam on sale somewhat recently, but it was only each individual game. Maybe I'm expecting too much and I should just get it now for the cheapest it has ever been (that I've seen).

Also, does anyone expect Deus Ex: HR to drop any lower than $10 within the next few months? I can get the Augmented version on Steam for $9.81, should I just bite on that? I won't be able to play it for a few months anyway, that's the only reason I'm unsure.

Was just about to ask this myself.

I asked earlier in the thread about Ubisofts DRM called "UPlay" and whether it has an "Offline Mode" like AC:II; which someone responded it does have an Offline-Mode, but requires a 1 time online activation [pretty conventional nowadays].

And no, does not activate on STEAM.

Hello Tony,

Is the Witcher 2 deal ending soon? I've read in the Amazon Video Games twitter account that there's 6 hours left to get Witcher 2 for $14.99, and that tweet was posted 2 hours ago. Does this mean its ending tonight? I thought it was extending up to 2/29?

I dont see the point in getting it now if you cant play it for a few months. I have the same situation (for other games). Im leaving it for now because they can only be cheaper in future ;)

So it's a pretty safe bet that PayDay wont activate on the ps3 right? I'm sure this was discussed but I'm at work and can't backtrack that far to read the last handful of page

AFAIK, PC only.

Portal 2 is the only game I can think of where PC and PS3 gamers can play together via Steam - which is a Valve game, BTW, since Valve were trying to promote them getting Steam going on PS3; and since Valve and Microsoft weren't seeing eye-to-eye on some things on the X360 platform.

Payday is NOT developed by Valve.
Damn you Amazon. Beating steams price on Deus EX: Augmented. I gave you more of my money. ;)
Yes, that and SC V for 39.99 on xbox 360. I had to get my money back at GameStop. Damn you Amazon. lol

That was an error you're good through 2/29.

Speaking of errors...this was totally a pricing error, congrats to those that got the $10 pricepoint on Augmented, we're bringing it back up to PM Steam's $13, prices should flip in 30-40 minutes.

Our mistake, your benefit :)

Anyone know if they ever patched Stronghold 3 up to a playable game? I heard it was almost entirely broken, like wolves could climb ladders and stuff.

I'm surprised that it takes that long to change the price. I would have figured that it'd only take a minute. Just pres a few buttons and presto...the price changes.

It's good for those who still want to buy though. Gives them a little extra time.

I've got a question about buying Payday on PC.

I'm currently out of town without my gaming PC, and I'll be back home AFTER the sale ends. I have access to another computer while I'm away, so I'm wondering if I can buy the game now at the $4.99 price, and just download/install it on my main computer at home.

Thanks.

Indeed
That Portal 2 PC/PS3 partnership is looking promising.

I got both games on both platforms for the price of 1 :D

Does everyone get charged tax or is it just me? (NY) I noticed that Steam doesn't charge tax but amazon does. Still ended up picking up a bunch of games from this sale though.

I think if Amazon has a physical presence in your state [shipping facility, etc..], then they have to pay sales tax and collect sales tax on those doing business within that state [I live in WA, so STEAM and Amazon charge me tax, it's no biggie].

There are a couple of states where Amazon charges tax. They have to charge tax in those states because they have a warehouse or some sort of physical presence in that state. Usually they try to only have their offices/warehouses in states that don't charge sales tax (like New Hampshire) but sometimes thy can't avoid it, so people in those states have to pay tax.

Seems strange that the tax extends to digital content, but what are ya gonna do?

Yeah, I guess I knew that Amazon charged tax for this reason, but I didn't know it applied to digital stuff as well. Thanks for clearing that up.
