Games that activate on Origin

Per MysterD's suggestion:

Here's the Steam Key Activation Page List.

NOTE: This list is incomplete so if you're unsure you still want to ask in the thread.

I'll be posting this a few times in this thread. I also post this regularly whenever people ask about activation limits with Amazon Game Downloads:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html/ref=hp_200205020_times?nodeId=200205020&#times

How many times can I download my games or software?

You can download an unlimited number of times for personal use. To re-download, go to Your Games and Software Library through the "Your Digital Items" link at the top of the screen and click the download button.
Can I download and install to multiple computers?

For video games: Each game manufacturer has a different policy on how many installations are allowed with each product key. If you run out of installations for the product key you originally purchased from Amazon, please contact Customer Service and we will happily provide you with another key at no additional charge. You can install an unlimited number of times for personal use, however additional copies of the game for friends or family must be purchased separately.

Does anyone have an extra $5 code they won't be using? It would be much appreciated, I want to buy Mount and Blade. Thanks if anyone can help.
I bought Mount & Blade Warband, and it does NOT register on Steam in case anyone was wondering.
so how would u get DLC then?

By any chance will GTA4 Episodes be returning to the 7.49 price point? I missed out on the first time and would absolutely love to get it.
Are we going to be able to activate King Arthur 2 on steam?
Negative it will not be a Steam activateable game

Simple answer there, it starts with "Wh" and ends with "oops".

Should be fixed and updated soon, thanks for the shout out.

Cheers,

No obnoxiousness intended.
It just REALLY took me by suprise.
But hey! Thanks for the quick answer!

Hey Tony, any idea if Modern Warfare 3 will get a better deal on the best of 2011 sale? I've been watching with no luck yet.

Thanks!
I bought Mount & Blade Warband, and it does NOT register on Steam in case anyone was wondering.
Well that sucks. It is part of the STEAM cd-key list. Guess I'll be saving my $5 off then. I am slightly interested in this game.

Edit. A couple of merchants are selling the physical copy for $7.34 with Amazon fulfilled shipping. You just won't get the $5 towards King Arthur II. I wonder if that will activate...

Do the Mount and Blade keys come in the correct format that the Steam list states?

Or were they in some other format?

Mount & Blade: Warband CD Keys in this format: 1AB2C-D3FGH-456I7-JK8LM-NOP9Q
2. We don't currently match international competitors as their entire business model is radically different than ours due to currency differences, and numerous other factors that I'm not able to discuss in a public forum. Again, trying to be as transparent as I can here without getting into too much hot water :).
Sometimes you'd be better off finding Euro deals for games that activate on Steam and just buy those from them. I got Just Cause 2 for about $4 from Get Games that way. Popped the key into Steam and away I went.

I'm also hoping for Homefront somewhere around $7.49 before coupon. Let's not consider it a price match to GMG, but rather a completely self-contained promotion from Amazon that just happened to be at the same price. ;) After all, Steam also had it for $7.49 during the winter sale. I just happen to have Amazon credit and these $5 coupons to use.

Would also love to see some deals sometime this month on Dead Island and Sims Medieval. I missed out on DI when it was on sale around Christmas. I think those titles and Warhammer Space Marine are about the only titles currently on the list that I want and don't already have.

My thoughts exacly :applause:

Edit : lol, now Direct2Drive also has Homefront for 7.50$ so Amazon should price match

Someone mentioned this, but we don't match international sites. That being said, we'll have Homefront at $7.49 shortly, just waiting for the pricing to flip. As we've seen with previous deals like this, we'll likely move through our inventory pretty quickly so if you want to pick it up at this price, i'd do so as soon as it flips.
also bring back tropico 4 for $4.99 please :(
:) Stay tuned.

Weird that you'd use Just Cause 2 at $4 as an example...you know we had that game on sale 3 separate times for $2.49 right?

Noted this above but Homefront will be $7.49 shortly (within the next 30-45 minutes). I'd act quickly once the price flips if you're interested as we've seen with previous deals like this that they go fast.

See my note above.

Also, starting Sunday we'll have Civilization V and Civilization IV Complete for $8.99 each, meaning that customers with the $5 coupon will get those games for $3.99.

You keep making it harder and harder to pass up Civ 5. Just picked up Homefront for $2.49 as well after coupon so its active.

While Homefront's price is incorrect on the product page, it does check out at $7.50.

Going to pass on it personally. The beta was horrid and looks like the campaign is insanely short. I have 1 coupon left, just don't know if I should hold out for Dead Island.

Yeah it takes a couple of minutes for everything to display correctly on all the pages. It looks like everything should be good now.

any chance of Civ 5 GOTY is also on sale? :applause:

Crap, I'm at work and all my codes are on my home computer. Tony, why did these codes not auto apply to my account like just about most other things do :(

Is there any way to see the codes I was rewarded through the site ?
any chance of Civ 5 GOTY is also on sale? :applause:
Totally valid question. The Deal of the Week next week is on the base game, not the GOTY, as that is the one that is in the bestsellers list.

Cheers,
Tony

The reason the codes don't auto apply is kind of complicated technically. Basically we knew we'd want to adjust the bestsellers list after the holidays (to add new best sellers). Because of this we had to go with codes rather than auto apply.

Black Friday, then again during 19 days of deals "Action Day", and then again on December 28th. If you have trouble keeping track of our killer deals I'd recommend checking this thread daily and also signing up for our twitter:

Tch, I'm tempted to get homefront, but I don't know if the short campaign is worth it. Heard it has an adrupt end, which is the sort of thing that can piss me off.

I have 1 code left and I'm done buying for now. I wouldn't mind getting a cheap RPG or RPGish strategy game on Steam (that I don't have already) for it (I'm crimsontribe there too), but just PM me and I'll send it to the first person to respond.

Tony, quick question.

I have a $10 promotional code tied to my amazon account right now. I'm trying to buy homefront and I don't want it to use this code. How do I buy homefront using the $5 code instead of one the $10 one that Amazon has applied to my account? I basically don't want to "waste" the $10 promotional code on something I can pay $2.50 for...

Usually if I want to override a default code attached to my account I just add the code I do want to use on the checkout screen. I had .01 cents of promo code left after getting GTAIV and was able to use a $5 code instead by adding it on the check out page.

I was out, returned home, saw Homefront, grabbed it withput hesitation and now it is OoS

This kind of awesome deals does not last long ;)

Preorder something with the $10, cancel later.

bummer.. i would have pay $8.99 for the GOTY after coupon :) and so do a lot of ppl here.

Nice to have a complete pack rather than hunting down remaining dlc and spend money on Amazon's competitor (Steam) ;)

AHHHHHHH!!!!!
The "Buy and download" button actually changed before my eyes to "unavailable" just as I was about to click on it!!!
AAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ended up buying a load of Charmin. That worked out well.

Edit: Abeja, clean out your PM box...

I've been a Prime member for some time, so I've already loved Amazon's selection & service, but the awesome deals on digital downloads is just icing on the cake. I ended up buying an equal amount from Amazon & Steam over the winter break, and it was awesome to follow this thread and get some "tidbits" from Tony on upcoming deals. Looking forward to Tropico 4 going back on sale. :)

Thanks for your hard work T-Money and your commitment to your customers.

Tony, thanks for the deal on Homefront. I know the game is passable at best, though with $7.50 before the $5 discount code, $2.50 is certainly a point I can bite on it for. Especially with it being paid for by credit.

Thanks again for the deal. ;)

T-Money you have done it again. Duke Nukem Forever for $1 and Homefront for $2.50 and my coupons are gone now maybe I can play some of the stuff.
