F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, generally like new items.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes, All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and almost in perfect condition. Any game i have personally ever bought has in like new condition. However, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken

I'm waiting for the 360 slim, or ps3 to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

You could have refused it but check it out and if something is missing, call Amazon. I would still call them though and tell how unsatisfied your are with the delivery. Who knows ? they might offer you some kind of credit...

Well I was still in bed and my mom brought it in, and said the flap was open. I'll probably contact amazon, I kinda hate to though, I've had to a couple times lately.

So, this is what amazon said...and it makes no sense, but I'm happy:

Hello,

I'm sorry to hear about the condition in which your item arrived. We make every attempt to package items securely to protect them during shipping, but sometimes damage does occur.

We always appreciate customer input on how we can improve our store, and I've forwarded your message to our shipping department.

You can use our Packaging Feedback Program (www.amazon.com/packaging) to let us know how we're doing. We'll use your input to improve product and Amazon packaging. Visit http://www.amazon.com/help/packaging for more information.

If any item in your order is damaged during shipping, please let us know so we can take appropriate action. To send us an e-mail with the order number, name of the item, and details of the damage, visit this page:

xxx

I see that you placed this order with our subsidiary Warehouse Deals. I'm sorry, but because Warehouse Deals' inventory is constantly changing, we're unable to replace any items sold through Warehouse Deals.

Instead, I've requested a full refund for this item. This refund will appear as a credit of $226.98 on your
payment card in the next 2-3 business days. I'm sorry for the mix-up. If you do end up receiving the item, please either use our Online Returns Center (www.amazon.com/returns) to return it or let us know if you'd rather keep the item and pay us back.

Please visit the following link to provide the information we requested:

xxx

If you still want the item please place a new order. I've provided the current listing for this item below:

xxx

We hope to see you again soon.

So they apologize that the item was received...and are crediting my money back. But, if I receive the item, I'm supposed to let them know and re-order a new one??? WTF?? That current listing link sent me to a brand new 160GB :/

Do these pop up at random or is there certain times they are usually added? Im trying to score a PS3 or a PS3 move bundle but I can never catch the prices posted here.
you just got a free ps3, dood.
Well I did receive the item, but I kinda hate to cheat them since they've been so good to me. It's like here's your credit back! I know you received this item opened, but in case you receive it, please let us know so you can pay us the full amount again.

5 bucks says that was a foreigner. Sometimes I do get annoyed with non-native CSRs, but amazons are the world's finest. They give you free stuff like their lives depended on it.

Do the right thing dude. Karma.
Do the right thing dude. Karma.
It is acting a little wonky, to be honest. I had to hit the power button twice to get it to work, I'm just gonna contact them and see if I can pay half of it. That way if it DOES break down, I can still get that much for parts.

But then again, is the second part of that email just a standard thing to write? I mean why would they refund me for receiving the item that way, then tell me if I receive it to let them know...that's just odd.
Do the right thing dude. Karma.
Obviously check to make sure the PS3 is working but, yeah, I got to imagine Karma on a new PS3 would be brutal...

I ended up calling them up and telling them what happened, told them I did enough business with them and I didn't wanna cheat them in case something serious did happen, I didn't wanna get a bad reputation. She said she was going to cancel the full refund, but gave me $50 back just because, and if it did end up giving me trouble I could get the full refund.

Basically it amounted to a PS3 for 175, that's still not bad, and it makes me feel better that I did the right thing. If they were like this all the time it'd be different, and I know they probably couldn't give two craps about me, but anytime I've had an issue, they've been fantastic. I want it to stay that way, too, so they can keep getting my business.

There you go, I'm glad you told them. As appealing as a potentially free PS3 would be, you know it happened because of a misunderstanding. One time, I complained about Lasership leaving my packages on my front door, which I received but was more upset that they didn't even bother ringing the bell, and Amazon tried to send me a replacement order. I had to respond and let them know that I did receive it and the replacement is not necessary.

It all depends on you particular delivery person. I've known of UPS guys that will REPEATEDLY leave items at the same wrong house with the same # but 6 blocks away(different street), and the address is PERFECT. known of another guy that couldn't find a house, that had a large house number on it, wasn't hidden by any means, in the middle of a large street, and just started sending their stuff back....because a house with the same number on a different street was vacant, even though the labels had correct address. Seen DHL van parked at a the same house for hours time in the middle of a weekday

My UPS person is great tho, put a bunch of PC parts on my back porch on request. FedEx guy will usually put my stuff in plastic bag if its overcast. My mail carrier on the other hand, will go out of her way to make the package as noticeable from the street as possible. n the other hand, also know of mail carriers that have literally foiled brake-in's or saved people's lives because they knew something wasn't normal on their route, and "investigated"

It's just all the person

Good. I canceled my order on the $298 250gb kinect bundle. I talked to my friend and he is tight on money & was not sure how long it would take to pay me back, plus I am not sold on wanting the kinect yet.. Plus I sort of had you in mind, knowing how bad you want one, have been trying for one, so keep an eye out man, hopefully they put it back up. I canceled it about 30 minutes ago.

Amazon in general has just been packaging everything stupid. Collector Edition games come in a small box with a piece of bubble wrap, but then when I ordered several cans of pumpkin this week it came in a box...in a box....in a box! No kidding you, they put my 12 cans of pumpkin in not 1 but 3 boxes AND still put bubble wrap in! Same thing when I bought suckers a few weeks ago for Halloween...they put a box in a box and a ton of bubble wrap.
Fable 3 Limited Collectors Edition - $58.99 - http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-list...7U53NWQ&qid=1289666090&sr=1-19&condition=used
I bought two of these a few days ago and both of them showed up okay. What I found really scuzzy though is whoever had returned them had opened the DLC vouchers, grabbed the code, and then glued the overlay back in place.

I didn't order these expecting to get the DLC, I didn't even expect the DLC cards to be in there, but I thought it was really gross that someone would do that. I don't know if they returned their item and said they hadn't used anything or if they just traded it in. I did check all the codes and one of the potions ones had not been redeemed yet. Even though I already had it, I redeemed on a dummy account. I hope that person finally sells the code on ebay to find out it doesn't work.

Damn, maybe I should've waited before I bit the bullet on a Kinect-less 250GB 360s for $235. I would've splurged another $65 for the Kinect sensor. Oh well. In any case, I ordered the $235 Xbox 360 from yesterday and did one-day shipping to have it delivered today. I believe it was described as in "Very Good" condition but maybe I was expecting better. The controller's analog sticks looks worn down a lot and the system itself had a lot of scuffs on it. I haven't tried to buff/clean those scuffs out just yet as I was more concerned about the functionality of the system. I'm going from a 20GB Pro to a 250GB slim. So far, everything is in working order as I've transferred all my info from my previous Xbox 360 and onto the new one.

argh those 250 ps3s are taunting me... ive been patiently waiting for a 160 or a move bundle. argh.

i would have bought the new 160 with a ds3 if i didnt already have 3+ controllers. do you guys think that there will be more returns/stock after black friday?

cant really remember the last time i got a good deal in the wherehouse that i thought was a good deal.. picked up a few check 1.49 or 2.49 ds/psp games but most of them are just play a night or two and toss into a corner

What really got my attention is: Do people actually buy those overpriced consoles sold by 3rd party sellers ?
Man, I really want a $200 PS3.
Good luck...from what I have seen, consoles show up late at night
360 anything but prestige.
