F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, generally like new items.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes, All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and almost in perfect condition. Any game i have personally ever bought has in like new condition. However, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken

I'm waiting for the 360 slim, or ps3 to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.
Tempted to get this and give it another try. I gave up playing at the part where I'm trying to escape the vault. Hated the game. I didn't like Oblivion either. Anyone think I'll like this if I give it another try?
I gave Oblivion three chances but could not get into it. Fallout, on the other hand, I loved and enjoyed very much so. For 6 bucks it's worth it IMO.

Fallout 3, best game this gen in my opinion..

Everybody seems to have that going on when they first play fallout 3...including myself...i came back to it after a week or two, it became my favorite...you can easily put 300 hours into it.
Once you add it your cart it shows up as "Greatest Hits". This isn't a 100% sure method though so it's pretty much a gamble, which is why I keep looking for a black label Uncharted 1 on ebay.
Huh. I didn't see that happen, plus it kept telling me there was a "newer version available," but presumably that meant the GOTY. But it's Left 4 Dead for under $10 shipped so I can deal with it.

I guess it depends on why you don't like Oblivion. They're structurally the same but they're two wildly different experiences. If you didn't like Oblivion's gameplay, the questing and the way things are setup, you won't like Fallout. I didn't like Oblivion the first time I played it, either, or a lot of other games. I kind of make it a point now to give second chances. In fact, I didn't like Oblivion until I played Fallout.

It takes a bit to get going. The Vault is boring and it's really just your tutorial, but I can see why you'd give up if you think that's what the entire game is like. Once I really got going, though, I finished it in 24 hours in about two days.

You barely gave it a shot. I'd say give it another try and actually hang in there until you can explore some of the Capital Wasteland. I put over 200+ hours into the game and expansions on PS3 and recently bought the 360 version and did all the achievements for the main game in about a week. I was still seeing/noticing new things and places on 360 after spending all those hours before on PS3.

The game has a lot to offer. Hell, you could completely ignore all the quests, and just wander the wasteland looting and killing bad guys as if you were Mad Max and it would still be fun for quite a while. The only way Fallout 3 could be any better is if you had the Ford Falcon coupe from Road Warrior. :D
Bleh w/e
Ordered Fallout 3. Hopefully I'll spend more time and try to like it this time.
I started to play fallout 3 around the time it came out, and I quit playing after I got out of the Vault. I hated it. Then I went back to it months later and it is now one of my favorite games of all time which I still sometimes play even after 200+ hours put into it. At that that price you should def give it another shot. Hope you end up liking it like I did!

Picked up a PS3 family bundle (Used - Like New 160gb, Ratchet & Clank, Singstar bundle) for $228.99. This'll be my first AWD purchase, lets see what happens...

Me too. Arrives tomorrow. I'm actually trading in a perfectly working 320GB PS3 slim that's too damn loud when it's running.

PS3s are so crap in their build quality lately. I have a 160GB PS3 slim that's dead silent, and then a 320GB PS3 slim upstairs with fans that bug the CRAP out of me. So it's getting traded in if the like-new Amazon 160GB Ratchet/Singstar PS3 isn't awful sounding.
I've had an American Express card for 10 years and use it daily, and I have never once been hit with a single fee. I pay my balance every month, and use my AMEX card for convenience and rewards. When a shady gas station clerk charged my card $100 and took cash from the register, a real, living, American Amex employee called me a few minutes after it happened and removed the charge, and they dealt with the chargeback. In that case, Visa & Mastercard would have forced me to pay the $100 until the chargeback case was resolved a month or two later, when it would finally be removed.

I'm sorry that you were unable figure out AMEX's fee structure; all I can say is BE CAREFUL with your other brand of credit card. If you lose it and someone else finds it and decides to max it out, some nominal fees will be looking mighty attractive.

BTW, 4.9% APR is only for limited time offers (ie to trick stupid people into running up a balance on their card). I'm sure they gave it to you because you were complaining about the interest that you agreed to pay by not paying your entire bill of at the end of the month. It's one thing to complain about a company when they actually screw you, but complaining because a company is charging you fees that you agreed to ahead of time (whether you understood them or not) is just plain dumb.
One last note and then I'll drop it completely. The 4.9% was not a limited time offer it was prime (3.0 at the time) + 1.9% . It was what they lowered my apr to after having them for 5 years when I said that I was going to cancel my card because I never use it and as many have said it isn't widely accepted like visa or mastercard or even discover for that matter. It was then 12 months from that point when the card still hadn't been used that they decided to raise my apr back up to well over double what it was before lowering it. Seeing as how my card had been at a $0 balance the entire time this accomplished nothing other then to bug me. I worked at a bank for years before my current job so I'm more then aware of my credit worthiness and what fee's should and shouldn't be paid to a credit card company. The fee's btw were inactive account fee's which weren't listed on their fee schedule either online or on the copy they send you when you first open an account. They would waive them when I called but its 15 minutes of my life for something that I'm fairly certain legally can't be charged without it being stated on their schedule.

As for if something should happen and your card gets stolen or someone racks up a huge bill without your knowledge both Visa and Mastercard will reimburse you within 24 hours and then do their investigation. I've disputed several auto bills that were supposed to be canceled and had the money put right back on the card compared to the one transaction that I disputed on Amex that I had to send in a copy of the return receipt to get them to credit it because it allegedly posted to the wrong account.

As I started the post with though thats my final thoughts because I don't want to derail the thread anymore but wanted to clear up a few of your key points.

Discover are awesome about this, too. Had my card number swiped last week. For some reason thieves love chemistry.com, but whatever. Discover reversed the charges and had a new card out to me ASAP. No fees. Ever.
LOL that's my assassins creed I traded in! Buy it, it is pristine!!
Well, cool, thanks. I've been interested in AC:B, but I haven't played the first two yet. Everyone warns me away from playing the first one, but I want to anyway. And that is a great price. About how long is the game? I should get it on Friday, so I hope to have it beat by Saturday evening.

I'm sure one is yours, but a few people have already bought it in this thread and there's several available. Unless you traded in a lot of pristine copies, they probably all aren't yours. Sorry, just didn't wanna get anyone's hopes up.
Some lucky person is going to get my copy of Dragon Age II's Signature Edition whenever it goes up.

Hopefully it's a CAG. :D
Did you use the codes?

Yeah, I thought I was going to end up liking the game a lot more than I did.

I don't know if they're so lucky. Basically paying a premium for cover art at that point. Also, I feel like I was the only one that liked da2 more than the first.

Well, I really liked the cover and I LOVED DAII more than Origins; great story/characters.

Good to see I'm not alone. I was just pointing out that da2 signature without codes is just da2 vanilla with different color box art.

I loved Fallout 3, got all the stock achievements and re bought with all the DLC but haven't played yet.

However, I don't know if it was because I don't have time to immerse myself or I spent so much time in FO3, but I couldn't get into NV. it's a great game, but it didn't floor me in the way fo3 did.

I just couldn't get into Fallout 3 either, but I ended up liking Fallout New Vegas. Although I guess that's probably because I allotted points specifically to the skills that would make me a marksman so I wouldn't have to use that completely fuckin' annoying VATS system every half second just to target and get a good shot on enemies.

That was THE MAIN THING that pissed me off about that game. I loved the setting and I wanted to give the game a chance, but when you have to upgrade your stats and can't hit the broadside of a barn till you do then it just aggravates you.

I had enemies standing 3 feet from me who I missed by a mile with a pistol early on the game. THREE FEET and I missed them? To me that was total bullshit.

How close do you sit to your PS3? I sit about 4-5 feet from mine and EVERY SINGLE ONE I've had has sounded loud to me. Then I went over a buddies house and his brother-in-law had his 40gb up under an entertainment center and I couldn't even hear their system.

I had a 40gb and I currently have both a 120gb slim(from when they first launched) and a 160gb from the BF bundle I got from Amazon about a month ago.

Only thing I really notice on the 160gb is the hard drive running, though they BOTH seem loud after 30 minutes of playing a game like GTA Episodes. But when playing downloadable titles off the HDD they're both silent.

ANyone had return issues lately?

I have returned to games(paid for shipping out of pocket) and only got a 50% partial refund. Now a simple email fixed the first and I am sure will fix the second but it is kind of weird.

Both items were returned exactly as I received them and my reason for return was no longer wanted.

Were they cheaply priced games? If so, maybe they took a percentage for them having shipped you the items initially?

Hold on.....you can return games you open, play and don't like to Amazon? Do they refund the full amount?

Thank you so much for posting about this. I returned Killzone 3 a month ago and only got $29.99, but I figured it was because I checked "Item no longer wanted" or something. Well I just got off Amazon chat and

"Thank you for waiting. I see that there was a $30.00 deduction from the refund for restocking fees. What I can go ahead and do is issue a promotion to your account for $30.00. Now a promotion works a little different from a gift card. A promotion can only be used on items shipped and sold by Amazon. When a gift card can be used on anything on Amazon. So when you go to use the promotion you want to make sure that you purchase items shipped and sold by Amazon.com only"
