F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, generally like new items.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes, All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and almost in perfect condition. Any game i have personally ever bought has in like new condition. However, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken

I'm waiting for the 360 slim, or ps3 to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

It will probably stay like that for awhile, Legend of Mana did the same thing.

I hope it drops back to at least $40. I was waiting on Amazon trade in credit to clear before buying it.

I was thinking of ordering another Xenogears, guess I won't be able to now. I wasn't happy with either of the two copies I ordered. I ordered two to give myself a better chance at getting a black label and in good condition. Unfortunately I got one GH in mint condition and a black label with a beat up manual.

That's so odd. Game comes out as cheap download and price goes...up?

Collectors are strange creatures.

I bit on the MGS PSP bundle, and it was the only one. I had been looking for a PSP-3000, and I do like that green color. I have never bought a console on AWD before, only games. Does the "Acceptible" condition mostly mean that it likely will not have its original packaging? That is no concern to me as long as the console is in good shape, and the game and memory card are included as well.

I feel the same way and try not to buy acceptable, but sometimes you can luck out. I was looking for a psp a few weeks ago and a madden bundle popped up for $98 acceptable, it was mint and everything was included except the original box. The previous owner even left or forgot a 4gb memory card in there. I would chance it on the console. Like adriley said, you can always send it back.

Damn! Not WD, but someone listed the 3DS for $200 + shipping. As I was checking-out, it said someone ordered it just before me.

So all you guys who are returning "Acceptable" / "Good" items, do you have to give a reason for the return?

Something like "condition not as advertised"? Do they check/care about why you're returning it?

Xbox 360 4GB $138.98 - Acceptable

Even if it was still there I'd tell everyone to wait until it drops below $30 due to an online pass that you'll most likely need to buy @$15. Buying it brand new with an amazon credit or bestbuy gc deal would reault in a similar cost.

Gave an xbox directly to the local UPS driver on Tuesday and so far no tracking has shown up. How much longer should I wait this out, and anyone know whats the best thing I can do?
Am I simply screwed since there's no record of the box even being picked up?
haha, wth

is this an error?
It's often listed at that price, breaks $1000 occasionally.

And frankly it should be 30 in no time. A lot of the triple A titles have been Dipping a lot lately. At the very least least 40 soonish.

I received my two Very Good games from textbooksrus today and they were anything but very good. My copy of Zelda Oracle Of Ages came cartridge only and it stopped working after five minutes on two different systems, I tried cleaning it but that didn't help. Advance Wars 2 came cartridge only missing the front sticker and somehow bent on the side that it would not fit into the slot of my micro or ds.

At least I know I can still trust AWD. I received my Like New copy of Metroid Zero Mission and it came complete in excellent condition.

Sounds like they were fakes.

Not sure how great a deal it is, but I just received an e-mail from E-Cost. They are offering a refurbished blue DSi for $95. About 5 years ago I bought a refurbished LCD TV from them and it still works fine.

I bought a used DSi off Craigslist for my daughter for 85. To my surpeise, it had $20 of downloaded games installed on it and had not yet been registered on club nintendo.

I got a ton of complete older cartridge games today and a couple yesterday from AWD. Here are the results.

NES
The Legend of Zelda (Good - $16.99)
- Complete including map, very good condition overall but tabs at top opening are missing, name is written on inside of box, and the map is written/drawn on. Its not like someone scribbled on the map. Parts of it were meant to be filled in while you play the game.

GBA
Final Fantasy VI (Like New - $28.99)
- Excellent condition
Breath of Fire (Like New - $22.99)
- Very good, but one tab is missing at top opening and slight crease on one side.
Golden Sun (Like New - $18.99)
- Very good, missing map but luckily I already have one..mostly just needed the box.
Classic NES Series: The Legend of Zelda (Good - $10.99)
- Good is pretty much dead on for this one. Box has a lot of wear but no damage. Contents are in very good condition.
Plus a couple really cheap games that are complete in excellent condition

SNES
Breath of Fire (Like New - $26.99)
- Good, but definitely not like new. Missing cartridge holder/insert which caused box to take some abuse during transit. Included map.
Chrono Trigger (Like New - $88.99)
- Excellent condition, complete with I'm assuming all inserts as there are a ton of them. Still one left and price dropped a little down to $82.99 if you want to take a shot at maybe getting such a great copy
Secret of Mana (Like New - $44.99)
- Very good, a little more wear on the box than I'd like but it is still in pretty good shape. Included map.
Final Fantasy II (Good - $32.99)
- Really happy with this because even though it was listed as Good it came in excellent shape. I've found this to often happen with PS1 games and I think it probably just comes down to the individual who rates the condition.
Final Fantasy III (Like New - $63.99)
- Excellent condition...included poster
Final Fantasy III (Like New - $63.99)
- Ordered two of these to help make sure I got at least one in great shape. This one is in very good shape but the box has a little more wear than the other copy so won't be keeping this one. This also included the poster plus a couple other inserts including the registration card.

N64
Paperboy (Like New - $4.99)
- Disappointed because top of box got creased pretty bad during transit. To add to that disappointment instead of having a Paperboy manual there was an NFL Blitz 2000 poster and registration card. Probably will return this.
Aidyn Chronicles: The First Mage (Like New - $16.99)
- Front of box has some nasty scratches on it which look real bad. Otherwise is in good shape but these scratches look ugly enough that I'm probably returning.

Overall very satisfied except for the N64 games which are being returned.
you are one rich S.O.B. lol. I'm fairly certain I'd be homeless right now if ordered all that stuff and my gf found out
Haha I was about to post just this. Aem must have some serious cash or some bad debt issues. Great haul though wish I had the amount of money to order 88 dollar copies of Chrono Trigger I would love to own a mint copy of stuff like that.

I definitely don't have serious cash. I really don't have much at all. I've never spent anywhere near this much at one time on AWD, but saw a lot of stuff I wanted pop up this week.

But I have built up a nice PS1, SNES, and GBA collection over the last few months through AWD. The thing is I don't spend much on modern games anymore. So while some people frequently buy new releases, I hardly ever do. Instead of buying some new expensive collectors edition game I'd rather buy something like a mint Chrono Trigger. I mostly only buy games at prices well under market value. It seemed like Chrono Triggers complete in excellent condition were going for far more on eBay so I figured I'd give AWD a shot.

I consider it more of a hobby/investment since the value of my collection is far under what I've paid and will probably go up over time. If at any time I really needed some extra cash I could easily get back at least what I paid, if not more. So while others can go buy new releases that will drop drastically in value my games will often be going up :bouncy:. Of course I hope to keep these games a very long time since I enjoy collecting/playing them.

I just thought about how the hubby would react to that o.o. I mean spent like 200 or so over the holidays picking up ps2 rpgs and almost got my budget cut

But I'm glad everything came better then it was advertised more so with the recent reports on AWD

Thanks for the heads up. I took the plunge on it as eBay has been a pit lately with the prices of a complete Chrono Trigger.

Can anyone comment on what "Good Status" is vs "Like New"
i assume like new is very well taken care of. but what makes it a Good status?? scratches or box issues?

Love the new thread. Grading of systems seems to be pretty random. Purchased a black Wii with motion plus bundle a few weeks back that was acceptable for $125 and item came with the slightest ding in the corner and everything was sealed and brand new. Was leery buying acceptable but got really lucky. :applause:
Just ordered Top Gun: Combat Zones for the GCN for .99. For less than it costs me for a spicy chicken at burger king, I'll add it to the collection.
don't forget to add some fries on that shiznitz. XD.
Good find though.

I'm assuming you are talking about games? There is no easy way to describe the difference because the conditions of games vary. Some "Good" games are even in better shape than some "Like New" games. I think it just depends on which employee rates the condition.

The simplest way to put it is that the condition mostly comes down to just the cover art and manual. Or for older cartridge games that come in boxes that is factored in. Otherwise cases don't seem to be considered much when rating condition. For many systems they often replace cases with generic cases. Its worth mentioning that jewel cases (PS1, etc) are often in bad shape though.

Discs are resurfaced and usually don't have any affect on the condition. So this just leaves the manual and cover art and again it varies. I've gotten Good condition games that are mint and I've gotten Like New games which are in terrible shape. But returns are very easy if you aren't satisfied with the condition.

Basically Like New you just have a much higher percentage of getting a game with all components in excellent condition. You have a very low chance of getting anything with a lot of wear or damage. Good is more of a risk because you are basically going 50/50 in either getting something in great shape or getting something with significant wear , writing, or damage. Again this mostly just applies to cover art, manual, and for cartridge games other than DS, the box.

I'm going to guess a broken front cover isn't "Like New" or even "Good" especially when it applies to two different games.
Tempting but the players choice version is coming out soon. New for 20 I believe.
Yeah I know, but you know some people hate those GH/PH cases :/ I know I do lol
