F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, generally like new items.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes, All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and almost in perfect condition. Any game i have personally ever bought has in like new condition. However, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken

I'm waiting for the 360 slim, or ps3 to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.
I would keep buying from AWD. It's rough getting that kind of shipment but I'd say those are rare. I've bought 25-30 items from AWD and never had an issue.
Totally agree. I have bought 1000+ items from awd and only had a couple issues. The are by far my favorite e-tailer (or retailer for that matter).
My "used" copy of Bulletstorm from AWD ended up being a copy of the Limited Edition with the codes intact.
Wow, well, if that isn't luck. Buying that game at launch, nevermind the Epic Edition (which I don't even think is that great) for $40 is probably my biggest regret this gaming year.

I bought it at launch with a $20 GC. Definitely one of my wallet's biggest regrets.

(Pats bobby on the back) There there its ok, we all make atleast 1 sucky gaming purchase during the year.

it seems i make a sucky game purchase every month, haha. but at least we are cags and arent paying 60 msrp.
i got mortal kombat and fear 3 for 2/$50 when tru has their 'misprint' but then i traded them in. now i have to wait til i can get new for cheaper than that, and so far no luck. tis life

My suckiest gaming purchase this year was paying full price for Dead Island but I do not regret it at all. There's a reason Amazon sold out. That game is an absolute blast.

The sad part is I paid $60 for mine (well with a $20 Amazon Credit). I bet the game in 4 days, loved the game, but never went back to it. What a short ass campaign and a waste of money.

My worst purchase this year was Dunegon Siege III. It's an alright game but it is bland as fuck. It's like generic, bland fantasy world. Now I did get it with GS credit, and got half my money back by trading it into best buy but jesus that game was generic. Although I do still own it since I got a free PC copy with my gfx card.

It's sad that they underestimated how good their game actually was, lol.

And thanks for the pat on the back, it wouldn't have been so bad had I not paid $55 for MvC3's SE not too long before that.

I also got FEAR 3 and LA Noire from the TRU misprint. And then Black Ops (my brother broke our previous one) and another copy of LA Noire to get my money back for when I spent $40 on it. Good times.

Heh I bought it with credit and then traded it in when the TIV was still $40 so I got paid a couple of pennies to play it :) but the game is pure fun I just had to pick it up for $10

Worst purchase this year is buying Fable 3 on launch, so buggy..

Shift 2 Unleashed $21 - http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-list...options=see-all-buying-options&condition=used
Alpha was $8.49 yesterday and I didn't bite. Why do I care about 50 cents? Haha
You know, you could always check your local Sears using Google Shopping to see if there's a copy of :ps3:Alpha Protocol in stock there for cheap. I think I paid about $7 for my new/sealed copy of it there.;)

Awesome! Thanks!
Awesome! Thanks!
You're quite welcome. There's quite a few really cheaply priced games that're worth a whirl at their current clearance prices at Sears. Not to mention they are selling the XBLA/controller packs for $20 on clearance right now too. So if you need a spare black wireless controller you can't go wrong for $20 with some downloadable games you could part out on here to trade for other games.;)

The thing i regret buying the most this year by far was a sealed non ph copy of halo 3 for 20. Me drinking the previous day probibly made me do it lol. I saw it at kmart and it still had the "dont sell untill 9/21/07" sticker on it and i said to myself "aww poor little guy has been sitting here for over 3 years, i think ill releave him of his guard duty's here". I come home and play it and i traded it in the next day as i Hated it. Still cant beleave i did that lol.
Is Alpha Protocal still a piece of crap?
We spent 3 fucking pages talking about how awesome it is.
You've got issues newbie.

The Bad

The AI is retarded and when they arent brain dead they charge you suicidally.

The game is glitchy and buggy (Im not sure if these issues have been fixed)

Textures take an insane amount of time to load.

The Good

This game had potential, and was addicting at times but it just feels like half the game is broken.

4/10 because it had a good story. Combat was boring and broken you guys must be high. Am I honestly the only one here that thinks this is a bad game?
The most underrated game in my opinion this year is Shadows of The Damned.
I Kinda want to agree, but so far this year I've only played about 6 or 7 games that came out this year so hard to make a fair assessment. I Just wish it sold better because goddamn the Evil Dead homage level made me giddy the whole way through.

Yes it was and is a bad game. I wouldn't even pay $5 for Alpha Protocol. Next...

SotD is like RE4 on acid. totally suda51 trip. good plat, only tough thing was trophies didnt stack so it takes 3 playthroughs(not bad tho with a good game like this) and puppeteer was a lil tough (shoot the legs off an enemy, then get a headshot on the ragdoll physics body before it hits the ground / skill/luck).

awesome game tho all the way. im waiting for 12.99 gamefly or cheaper tho, especially with how well it sold.

I Got that achievement by accident on the second level. To this day I still don't know what or how it happend.

All I heard was how buggy New Vegas, Alpha Protocol, TDU 2, NBA 2k11, etc were. And yet, I haven't experienced a bug in any of them.
How did I do this, you might ask? Well, companies fix bugs.

A little advice. Don't buy games at release and expect them to be bug free. And don't buy them months later and expect those bugs to still be there.

I got Alpha Protocol at release, and the bugs in it were extremely over-exaggerated. I can't even think of a bug off the top of my head that I encountered.

The point many of us were making though is that these games go through years of development, so wouldn't it behoove the companies to actually have them tested thoroughly and not be some glitchy pile of shit BEFORE they reach consumers' hands?

I'm not always connected to PSN when I turn on my PS3 to play a game(hence I can't always download some patch), so it'd be nice for once if a game I went to play wouldn't freeze/glitch up on me because a company was more concerned with making their release date than releasing a product that actually works and works right from launch.

Don't get me wrong, the most fun part of some games are the glitches(under the map glitches in GTA IV/Episodes, for example) since the stories in some games are nonexistent and some companies seem like they throw in a mediocre single player experience while seeming to put their total focus on making the multiplayer the main portion of a title. But that's a complaint for another time....

Despite what I said about the game, I really wanted to like it. Is it worth it now though?

P.S I dont buy games just because there cheap.

I completely agree with everything you said. Including the ridiculous focus on multiplayer companies take. But for the most part the bugs and weak single player should be attributed to the deadlines imposed by those on the non creative side. That's all I say, don't want to steal focus of my favorite thread.

Alpha Protocol is awesome. Don't let the low price fool you. It's definitely an overlooked game this generation. My vote for most overlooked game goes to Lost Odyssey, however.
