F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, generally like new items.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes, All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken

I'm waiting for a 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and almost in perfect condition. Any game i have personally ever bought has in like new condition. However, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc.

Here is an example of a like new handheld (PS Vita) - Thanks Slixshot

Picked up GOW:A. Still says there are 16 left.
I got one too, thanks guys I wasn't gonna spend more money on games, but then $25 for a good game CE is worth it and can complete my GoW collection!

What do you guys think the cleaning & repair is? Is it broken styrofoam since it's like new?

"Includes manual, cover art, and case. Full game is included, but bonus downloadable content may have already been redeemed. Cleaning and repair was done as required. Game data from previous use may be present, but can be overwritten or deleted"

I wish the digital stuff is not claimed! Fingers crossed! Also, seems they found a bunch of them or just damaged a pallet of CE at a warehouse lol.

Generic description for what is possibly a trade in to Amazon being sold.

I really really need to stop checking CAG for awhile. Just spent $244 between ThinkGeek, Gamefly, and AWD..

Been eyeing that GoW:A CE for the longest time but was pretty disappointed about the Pandora's Box (which I bought at MSRP), so was hoping it would drop further. I'm sure we'll eventually this price become the inevitable price drop sooner or later, seems they have a buttload of these. But I just can't say no at $25. Thanks for the heads up guys.

Cleaning and repair is just the standard thing that's on almost all their items. They also erase the saves from disc based games.

Last time I got a GoW Ascension CE, the steelbook was dented and the AWD stickers wouldn't come off the box without ripping it. I traded that right back to Amazon for a dollar more.

I hope it's better this time.

thanks, that means that 90% prob the online stuff is used, but no matter since I care more about the goodies and the SP experience.

Maybe videogames, I have bought almost $100 on other stuff from the warehouse this past month and none said anything about cleaning in a like new item. My best score in AW is a toilet seat for $10 instead of $86 and is the best toilet seat I have ever owned lol. It was like new, sealed in package btw people, maybe that is why it didn't need cleaning lol. ;)

Well let's hope so since their like new has been hit and miss lately. At least of it comes damaged that's an excuse to torn it.

Eldritch how do you like Diablo III so far on ps3? Did you try co-op? I plan on picking it up soon but wanted to get some insight before I did.

I picked it up and it is a really nice to play! It is native to 720p, but the graphics look so much better than the shitty Mac I was using, lol. The online play is easier than the PC version (at least from what I played around launch.) the only problem I am facing is if the host leaves, the game will try to migrate, but often fail. (And if your in the middle of something, you pop up back in town.)

Edit: I would also like to add, even tho the case for D3 on PS3 only mentions the infernal helm, you also get about 7 more items as well after you download the helm.

Here's the list:

BBY still pays like $20 on double TIV weeks for some reason though.
Well, they sell it for $40 used. Assuming they can off-load it for that price (and since it's TWD I assume they can), it's a decent profit. I feel bad for anyone who pays that much for it. Countless $10 Xbox LIVE Arcade Games put that one to shame in terms of quality.

I skipped it on PC (other than the beta) but it's nearly identical from what I've seen. Only real differences are how it controls and the UI.

Control wise it's pretty close to perfect in my book. Plays like the PS2 era games from Snowblind (Dark Alliance, Champions of Norrath) but in the body of D3. I really think they did a great job and actually made it feel better than on PC in many ways.

The UI is a little more hit and miss but gets the job done. The in game stuff is perfectly fine but some of the menus are a tad cumbersome. Inventory is probably the weakest area but it still works well enough.

We played online co-op through the whole first act last night and it was perfectly flawless. A little weird that there doesn't seem to be any in game chat or even emotes so we had to set up a text chat outside the game.

Overall highly recommended but if you played the PC version to death there's not anything new to see. By the same token there's also not a lot to change your mind if you hated it on PC other than smoothing out some of the problems that being always online caused.

Edit- To what Stryder said all first run copies should have the internal helm, red angel wings and dyes and all PS3 copies have another five items. The first run stuff is a DLC code and the PS3 exclusives are on disc.

Difficulty wise it seemed about the same as from the beta. They did include the option that was patched into the PC version to adjust monster difficulty independent of the game difficulty as well.

Thanks guys! The area in bold is what I was hoping it was going to be similar to (Champions of Norrath and Baldur's gate series are still my favorite isometric rpgs) so that makes it an instant buy for me now and 1st on my play list.

It supports voice chat tho.

I'm not Eldritch but I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night, er, played a few hours of couch co-op last night and had a blast! Controls were intuitive for my newbie partner, the look, feel and sound was all Diablo! Can't wait to play more.

Controls had to be intuitive for it to work for what worked on pc and mac wasn't going to work for obvious reasons on console. They also had to get it right as it was the next big console release since Diablo on ps1. Glad it is retaining the feel and experience of its pc counter part.

It is always more fun to play with others so couch co-op does sound like a blast ... with your partner (on screen or off screen) ;)

I didn't know you could meet gamer girls at the holiday inn, I have been doing it wrong.

D3 for consoles is fucking amazing. And this is from someone who's put over 600 hours on the PC version. It feels really good to be playing it again >.<

I hope my GoW CE comes in good condition. I'll probably trade the game in and I don't want busted packaging or anything like that.

Ps4 will but not ps3 :(
Again, not trying to say x is better than y, but that's why I don't mind paying for XBL....the features are always ahead of Sony in my opinion.

Anyway, was just wondering because aside from some games like CS:GO that have game chat but not party chat I've never needed to have any discussion about whether I could chat or not so I was confused lol.

Is what I would say if we were in a more fanboy-infested forum...

Lol, I hope not. Just doing some internal comparisons of PSN and XBL for my own self.
To each their own really. PSN Plus has lots of perks.. like all the free games. If you absolutely must talk to people while playing games that don't already have built in voice chat or while you each play different games, then XBL is def the way to go. Games that need voice chat on PS3 usually have it built-in anyways.

This discussion won't really matter soon since both next gen consoles will have Party Chat and both require you to have a subscription to play online (unless the game specifically states that online will be free). PSVita does support Party Chat if that matters at all to you. Currently, you can only Party Chat with other PSVita owners, but when the PS4 comes out, cross-platform Party Chat will be supported between the Vita and PS4.

It was mostly a joke, like I said, CAG has very few fanboys as far as I've seen

Each and every single console is wonderful in it's own way, with it's ups and downs; I own and enjoy both, but right now the PS3 has a more diverse and enjoyable game library, and since MS shat on every old xbox owner (myself included, still have my old xbox and I think it's by far the console enjoyed the most) once it released the 360, all the RROD problems, plus this whole Xbone debacle I have a hard time seeing the good side of MS services/hw.

That being said, I still believe that X360 was THE console to own during the first half of this console cycle.

After lurking in this thread for months (thanks to everyone who posts deals in this thread, btw!), I just made my first-ever AWD purchase (a LN GOW: Ascension CE for $25.28).  Let's hope it comes in good shape!

In case anyone else is interested, there were 7 left in stock when I ordered, according to Amazon.

I suggest to anyone who likes to ply co op games get d3. I actually found it pretty fun and more tolerable then the PC version. I stayed up all night plying with my friends we got half way through act 2. Best co op exp. I've had in a while on Xbox gives me something to ply until gta

Unbelievable! Found a used copy of Diablo III floating at a GS near me. Put on hold and shall be swapping it for one of my B2G1 free place holder games that I bought over the weekend. I knew I picked a game I did not want for a reason. Score!

BTW, heads up to anyone looking for Tales of Xillia CE. I cancelled mine few moments ago that was described as like new so it should be popping up sometime. Since, I will be playing Diablo III shortly I won't mind waiting on a deal for just the game whenever that may be.

GoW A trades for 18$ at BestBuy
Yes, that is why I said the base is $9 (+ $9 for 100% bonus) and confused his GS base with that of BB's initially.

Isn't that the best feeling? Found a used copy of Payday the week that GS received their shipments. The only one that had it within 100 miles was the one that's closest to me.

:D
