F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
From Amazon: Get deep discounts on open-box, like-new, refurbished, or used products that are in good condition but do not meet Amazon.com's rigorous standards as "new".

Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, new but with damaged packaging product aka "dinger" and trade ins in generally like new condition. They are considered 3rd party by affiliation and as such the "Amazon Warehouse Deals" distinction but are still part of Amazon.

What is AmazonSmile?

About AmazonSmile

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes! All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken during restocks and or when pricing algorithm goes haywire. During those times, prices don't adjust and assimilate with the current inventory quickly enough to show the sorting as such

I'm waiting for a ps4, xb1, 360, ps3, 3ds, or PS Vita to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it, and or set alerts... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

What was Penny Deals?
In early September of 2011, tons of newer release, more expensive games popped up for 1 penny each. Many CAG members placed orders, expecting them to get cancelled. Some were cancelled, however many CAGS got a large amount of games for a penny each. There has been no confirmation what exactly happened and why these games were sold for a penny.

What is this "glitch deals" that I keep hearing about in this thread?

On August 7th, 2014, AWD glitched out similar to how it did around penny deals, except lot of stuff went for cheap instead for a penny. The pricing algorithm went haywire and in the process lot of stuff went for cheap across the AWD spectrum from games to iphones to tablets and everything else in between. The "glitch deal" lasted for maybe a couple of hours and fellow CAGs that were around during that time made out like a bandit. Below is the timeline leading up to the night and the deals that went down on that night.

What do you mean by a "dinger"?
Dinger = Item is new but the packaging is damaged in some way or form.

These are speculative guesses at best going by descritption of any given item and also taking into account the length of time an item has been out since its release. Shorter the span of time from release of a game or console, better the chance of scoring a new item with damaged packaging aka "dinger".

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
First and foremost all games from AWD are considered used unless specified as new. Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and depending on condition they can be perfect / brand new, brand new with damaged packaging aka "dinger" to just a game in a generic case. AWD has 5 condition criteria for their listings and they are:

New: Just like it sounds. A brand-new, unused, unopened video game in perfect condition in its original packaging and with all original packaging materials included.

Like New: An apparently unopened video game in perfect condition (although it may be out of its original wrapping). The box and item are pristine, with no signs of wear. Suitable for presenting as a gift. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Very Good: A well-cared-for video game that has been played but remains in great condition. The game and its original packaging are complete and slightly worn, but unmarked and undamaged. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Good: The video game shows wear from consistent use, but remains in good condition. There may be clear external signs of wear and damage to the original packaging or instructions, but the game plays perfectly. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Acceptable: The video game is fairly worn, but it continues to work perfectly. The box and instructions may be missing or damaged. The video game may have identification markings from its owner. Sellers are required to note whether the box or instructions are missing in the condition notes field for the item. Activation codes for bonus online content may be missing or expired. Product may not include downloadable content.

Any game I have personally ever bought in good or above condition has been in near mint condition. Acceptable ones have been a gamble. Getting DLC with games has also been a gamble and since AWD games are considered used, don't expect unused DLC even though there will be occassions where they may come unused. In regards to DLC, ymmv. Conditon wise, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick. Games listed in "acceptable" condition likely have very beaten up cases, or are missing cases and inserts, and are in not so great condition, but generally have a working game disc. Consoles listed in "acceptable" conditon can be either new in damaged packaging and or a pure gamble in what conditon they will truly be in along with what is included in the box depending on the time frame from release of the console.

Here is an example of a like new handheld (PS Vita) - Thanks Slixshot

Looking at jumping on a G for this, but now I'm wondering about the Target deal. Do you guys just have extra regular cases you can use for the trade in since Target requires one?
I have extras from my work place. Don't do it unless you have extras because Target will NOT take your game!

I thinking more along the lines of a game like Luigi's Mansion. If it had a working insert or not. If it's anything like Gamestop then I'd say the chances are pretty darn high. But AWD ain't Gamestop.

almost no chance, wasnt that one of the games you could register with a 3ds xl to get a free game? they were selling for $5 to $10 bucks a piece even if the people didnt want the free games for themself. but i guess its always possible, especially if it was purchased after the promo was over.

Oh hey you were that one on the Cowboom topic? Yeah, while it's a good price I would recommend waiting until the new 3DS gets launched. Heck, even the one you got is likely to be $150 this BF and beyond.
yup that was me. and the only reason i want one is because i have an amazon gift card already and itching to play SSB!

Ah, I see. Well I suppose it's not unwarranted then. Perhaps the question is best asked, "Will you have around $250 to plant on the new 3DS in a few months?" If yes, then I don't see why you can't go for a cheap 3DS now...but this is CAG so we do make some assumptions...

Who know what the future holds? The world could end in a year. If you want to play the system now play the system now. If the world ends or you die it won't matter anyway.

That NFL 09' PSP I ordered just shipped. Only thing is it says delivery date November 12th :( - Hoping it comes in decent shape. I really want a PSP since I got rid of my Vita to help get my XB1. Looking forward to a regular PSP too, the PSPGo just annoyed me with how little it was. Do PSP MS still exist now and days? lol time to hunt for psp accessories

thanks to whoever posted the two go's earlier today. I was watching the acceptable one that was holding strong at 60sh $. got it for 58.31. the description said something about missing dlc nothing about the condition itself. I hope it's not beat to hell or back it goes

You may get lucky and it may come with the memory card. If not I have seen them pop up on AWD. If you are looking for something sooner rather than later, GS still sells them:

http://www.gamestop.com/browse/sony-psp/accessories/memory?nav=28-xu0,1388-75

On that note, I am really enjoying playing with my psp as of late. I have just had a hankering of jrpg's and psp is a heaven for it. Vita is following suit so I am keeping an eye out for a bundle deal on BFriday to replace mine that I traded in earlier. Good stuff on both handhelds.

Is it just me or have these memory cards gone up in price? They seem more costly than they used to be, or my minds just playing tricks on me. Checked amazon too and some there seem kinda high
Since GS stop taking in trade ins for anything psp, chances are the demand is dwindling so the prices have gone up. Psps are still in demand so it makes sense so are the memory cards. They used to be cheap when they were still in production and circulation and were available at every other retailer. Heck, Kmart and Sears clearanced the Pro Duo's for $5 buck back in the day.

God this system has a crazy buttload of RPGs, even the kind of rare Valkyria Chronicles 2 (and 3...if you know how to get it). Oh, and if you're a fan of Ace Combat, be sure to pick those up too; it takes a bit accustoming your thumb to the controls but it'll be worth it in the end. I can't believe a lot of these things aged well even almost a decade later.

Well they've always been relatively high from what I can recall thanks to Sony's proprietary memory. You can be cool like me and get a Micro SD adapter. Feeling extra ballsy? Try using the dual MSD adapter. Mine still works even after a good part of the top plastic is cracked (had it for almost four months). Two 64GB MicroSD cards can go in that thing and viola, 128GB on your PSP!

Your friendly neighborhood PSP-obsessed CAG is on the case! OK that was cheesy.

It is by CAG standards. Wait for it, maybe there will be some sale around the corner for BFriday so you maybe able to find / get it cheaper if Amazon matches another retailer or drops it in price.

Yeah, I am a fan of Ace Combat series and have it for psp. I still go back to ps2 games and heck even back to Dreamcast for arcade flight simulator kicks (on Dreamcast Airforce Delta was the copycat of Ace Combat but not THE Ace Combat). The series is still pure joy to play.

Two 64GB MicroSD cards can go in that thing and viola, 128GB on your PSP!

Your friendly neighborhood PSP-obsessed CAG is on the case! OK that was cheesy.
Thanks for the tip, think I am going to go that route for storage, as I want to have at least 32gb-64gb
