And by page five all of the same discussions would have happened ("I hate scalpers!", "I bent my Meta Knight!", "When will preorders be out?", "Is Shiek/Toon Link rare?", etc.). This thread is cyclical - all of the discussions happening now have basically already happened 50 times each between this and the last thread.
 
For anyone's information.

When I went to pick up my Mega Man at Gamestop today, they had the ones that were preordered, plus about 6 extras, they also got in a stock of Sheik, Toon Link, and Fox.

 
The Gold Mario will be more common than dirt, when it comes to store exclusive toys or action figures, Wal Mart always gets 8000 at each store and they never sell

lol they are dipping their hands into the variant game for a reason and i doubt its for that , they are well aware of what they are doing and they are pandering to the collectors crowd for these.Might as well just release default Mario if that's not their goal.

For what purpose will they make Gold and Silver Mario without any intention of limiting them?hell its already limited right off the bat since only Walmart is getting them and not every city has a Walmart for local pickup and online is a gamble.

i really hope every walmart store and online carry endless gold mario amiibo's so ebay seller's can buy many as they can and gold mario amiibo will not be return or charge them 50% stocking fees. lol

We all know Wave 4 is gonna be super rare but c'mon Gold Mario being impossible to get. Let's get real here. Mario is the mascot of Nintendo. Do you really think they will only make 5 gold figurines. They're gonna make as many as possible and let the dough roll in. If only they could do that with just about every other sold out figure on the market 

 
What the f**k, they've been up for just a while and Lucina's already gone.  I'm not about to pay $27, not at that point yet, hoping I'm able to get her and Robin in the US though.  Maybe in a few weeks I'll regret not paying the $27.

exactly and if they were going to be that plentiful then why wouldn't they open up pre orders for them but they probably will be very limited on a first come first serve basic and probably why no preorders
 
You didn't miss out on anything.  People were posting that Play Asia previously cancelled pre-orders and wouldn't refund the money but only give store credit.

I'm going to patiently wait for US pre-orders, and probably order them at multiple outlets.  The hype has gotten irrationally out of control.  I'm not going to overpay.  Especially not for pre-sale items that haven't even gone up yet.

Finally got the last of Wave 3 in from Walmart. Is it just me or is Ike's face disproportionate in size compared to his body? I must say Walmart also did a delicious job packing my amiibos this wave. I hope to order from them again for the next wave. *Buh Dum Tsh*

Encase anyone was curious for King Dedede, he weighs just under 6 oz in comparison to Ike who is 3.5 oz.

Come to think of it. Despite our inherent desire to collect Amiibos are downright ugly compared to Disney Infinity and cost just as much if not more.

I think they look decent except the ones that have urinesickles and big ass ice blocks. Completely ruin the figure. Also the ones in stupid poses like Luigi are annoying.

Got Sonic off Amazon.uk for roughly 20 bucks. fuck yeah. Need DeDeDe and Wave 4 Ness, Charizard, and Fire Emblem characters and I'll be good to go

Yeah, luckily the blocks should be ending after the Super Smash line. They should all be designed from the ground up after Smash. Really curious what will come after Smash/Mario Bros lines.

 
I agree with others in that DDD looks excellent as well as Bowser and Pit. I was pleasantly surprised with how Fox turned out, even with the blue supports. I love the metallic finish on Samus and Mega Man. Toon Link is another favorite - I like his clean look with the various textures of materials. 

However, I think the best looking one in terms of detail and variety of finishes has to go to Captain Falcon. That detail on the helmet, gloves, blaster belt, and jacket. Plus DEM BOOTS. Support column doesn't even bother me.

flipping/selling is not for everybody. I have a medical condition that if I own something that has fluctuating value I tend to sell it. Some people don't want to deal with ebay, amazon or even craigslist, but this doesn't make you a better person or some elite human being.

 
Lucina is one of if not the most beloved FE character ever. You add that plus the fact that Nintendo intentionally under produced FE figures and you get.... well not Lucina.

 
Got my Sonic and MM pre-orders from GameStop tonight. The girl who helped me was so nice, and said she knew I had pre-ordered Ike and DeDeDe after Dec., so I wouldn't get them until May, but would call tomorrow if figures were left not picked up.

She kept telling me how well I was taking the bad news, and said she was afraid when I stopped in I was going to yell at her. Seriously? She was diplomatic, but basically said people had gone ape shit on her for not getting an Ike. It bummed me out. Some people are complete assholes for no good reason.

Kind of shit people working near-min wage jobs deal with, somehow customers always forget that they're not talking to a Corporate Robot, but a person who just wanted a job who has emotions. Simply terrible....

Wasn't able to get Mega Man today (and was too lazy to go out in the cold), but I got a call from someone at my GS saying he was ready for pick up! I don't mind waiting on Ike as long as I get him.

 
Has there been a reason explaining why Ike is being delayed until summer? Is there a second round of production that is happening? Is this a result of the port strikes? Or is it just Nintendo being Nintendo?

Yeah, she's the favorite characters for the new FE players, that hopped on the FE bandwagon from 2013-2015.

because of them we're getting new fire emblem games and remakes of imports eventually as well. if no one hopped on the bandwagon we'd be stuck paying top dollar for the fire emblem fix bc we'd have to import all the ds games.

I was on support chat with Game Stop yesterday about something on my order. He was very nice, and even though he couldn't get me what I wanted I thanked him and said I hope the other customers are treating him well. He said they've all been wonderful and I was no exception. Shame to hear some employees are having a rough time over this stuff, although we've also heard stories on employees being shitty on the phone at customers so..
