Rare for me because I can't find one locally. A friend of mine was out looking this morning and gamestop had 2 Toads but he was third in line so did not get one. I want one for treasure tracker and apparently everyone else does too. Toad never was really too attractive to me but seems to be a lot of females are snatching him up due to his (wait, he's not a he?) cuteness.

 
Hoping to score a mario for $30, so far lowest ive seen is 50 :( I should have called out sick for my overnight and went to NYC last night :(

 
When I was a kid we used to go in the drainage ditch behind our school and catch Toads, we caught 62 in one day and put them all in a big aquarium...then felt bad and let them all go...and my grandmas dog ate one...and a rabbit.......toad :)

toad is rare base on high demand, it'll be wide stock for everyone in the next 2-3 months but right now toad is gone wild.

Nah, you guys are part of this fake demand. Walked into ToysRus yesterday with shelves full of Toads for anybody to purchase.

Walked into gamestop, and asked, was told if you don't have a pre-order I couldn't buy one. Quickly pointed out that anybody could purchase it at ToysRus. Clerk's mind blew up.

You have to find a pixelated toad in every level. You get a stamp on every level you find him on and a stamp on the cover of the book when you find them all. I'm kind of liking it but I just really wanted another excuse to play the game again. Some of the hidden locations are a little tricky.

So I got my best buy order and it was well packed and the outer box was not damaged but 3 of the 5 amiibo cards were destroyed, looks like were already damaged before they were packed or something

Can you or someone else explain further what the dimensions have to do with the likelihood of receiving a damaged item?
 
I got 3 packages from Best Buy yesterday. 1 box was Toad, 1 box was MP10 Bundle, 1 box was 4 Amiibos. All came perfectly packaged but Bowser had a bend on the card and Toads inner packaging was slipping up and was out of place. None of these issues were due to packaging or shipping. So since Toad or Bowser don't seem to be rare I was able to exchange them in store. There were 10+ of each at the store I went to.

23 for Mario party 10 is a ripoff. My copy is about to sell on eBay for 49. Which means my Mario Amiibo was free since I only paid 48 with GCU

49 * 12.9% = $6.32 ebay and paypal fees.

47.99 * tax = ~$4 tax

$52 purchase price - 42.68 gross after fees = $9.32 paid for mario amiibo, plus you have to do work by selling on ebay, driving to post office (gas cost?), and pay for packaging and shipping.

Free? No.

I find it amusing to watch on brickseek walmart all the stores that showed to still have gold marios and said they didn't all seem to go to zero shortly after a shift change... hmm.. must just be a coincidence. Its one thing for the stores that showed one but one store showed 8 or more and when I went there the guy swore their shipment never came in.

I charged 2.99 for shipping. Plus I leave the house everyday because I have a job so I am able to stop at a post office which is on my way home. So we are looking at about a 3 dollar difference. I'm sorry it's technically not free my mistake. I paid 3 dollars for a Mario Amiibo.

Not a bad couple of days for video game toys for my kid. BB has Kaos trap and new Skylanders. BB did a great job on shipping MP10 and amiibos. Will keep two M golds as trophies of the hunt and use the one included in bundle in the game.

Honestly, I would keep the Gold Mario for now, unless you're desperate for $$$. This is the worst time to sell imo. Gold Mario will not be re made. Wait 6 months to a year when there's only 100 for sale on Ebay instead of 1000

No, your math is still completely wrong. Fine. Let's include the shipping. I feel like I'm teaching a 2 year old.

$49 sale price + $2.99 shipping = $51.99 final paid price by customer

Ebay and PayPal fees of 12.9% on $51.99 = $6.71

$51.99 - 6.71 = $45.28

Now pay the shipping ... -$2.50 = $42.78 FINAL AMOUNT

Now to the cost:

$47.99 * tax. Let's assume ~$4.

$52 purchase price - $42.78 =

Drum Roll...

You paid $9.22 for your mario amiibo, and did the work of selling it and shipping it. If you value your time of all that you did at <$4. Well, yea....

Lol, I constantly see people ignore the fees that's involved when it comes to bragging about how much they made selling this and that.

There's 2 sides to that though. Buyer interest is probably at an all-time high right now, because the item is new. In 6 months to a year there will probably be fewer people interested in that Amiibo, many of them will have either already gotten one or moved on to other Amiibos or other game-related collectibles.

Paypal actually charges $0.30+2.9% so add another $0.30 to that $9.22. Of course this person could have a top rated seller account and pay 8% ebay fees instead of 10%, but I doubt it.
