"Easy" way to get the Et tu, Brute achievement

Join any game with both of you in a squad and party. When there is an empty spot on the opposing team, take note of several gamertags on the other team and commit suicide. Hit the guide, go to your friends list, and go over to the right-most tab (recent players list). Go to someone on the other teams profile, and hit join in progress. It should put you on their team. If not, leave the match and try joinging in progress while you are at the menu screen. Coordinate where to meet via party chat, and get your cheesemint. If you can get a thrid person as a medic to revive whoever gets knifed, it goes faster depending on where you hide.

@whiptcracker: Yeah, I usually try and play some people I know, but no one was really during that time yesterday, so I was just playing with some randoms. I'll send you an invite though.

@moojuice: Thanks for the tip! I still need to get around to getting that achievement, and that makes it significantly easier.

yeah, I need that cheesemint too. If anyone wants to try it late tonight (around midnight-ish?) or anytime Tuesday just hit me up. I'll be on/off all day/night Tuesday.

Hydro, I'm down for doing that. Can't do it tonight but pretty much any other night this week I'm down. The more people we have the easier it'll be. You, me, and Schmackledorf is a good start.

I really do not think it will be delayed since the maps are already on the DVD, they are just unlocking them for use in these new game modes. On Arica Harbor you can already see the other bases that they will add for Rush, they just put invisible walls in the Conquest version to make it a smaller map.

Anyone else looking for players... feel free to FR me... I play with a mic and actually play defense as a defender on rush (i.e. play the game as it was intended).
 
I was on attackers on Laguna Presa this morning with the UAV. Got a few kills and then shot down, and afterward my entire screen was mud brown except for HUD elements. Had to suicide to get out of it.

I also had all game sound randomly crap out on me later that game. Anyone had that happen to them yet? This time was probably my third, no idea what caused it.
 
Anyone else having a problem with "Get bronze stars on all weapons" patch? I've gotten a bronze star with every weapon and gadget technically, but since the Thompson isn't registering kills (still reads 0 kills even though I probably have at least 50 with it), it doesn't show up that I have a bronze star on it. I'm just wondering if anyone else has run into this problem and if they have a solution for it. It's currently keeping me from two of patches...

Might have been the revive glitch. People have said if you respawn at the same time you get defibbed it might've caused that.

Had the second happen to me twice, but I just unplugged my HDMI cord between respawns and plugged it back in and it was fine. I thought it might've just been how my system was connected.
 
Let's try to set a time/date for the friend-knifin' achievement then, looks like we've got half a dozen people which should should make it easier...the more the better though, so if someone else wants in, make yourself heard.

I'll join. Just let me know ahead of time so I can talk to my fiance' to persuade her to let me have the tv that night. It'll have to be after 5 central time, except Tuesdays which will probably be a no go.

I actually picked up the achievement yesterday when playing with my friends, so I won't need it any more. I'll be willing to help still though if anyone needs it.

Would you guys be up for setting up a night to do a CAG private match next week? I'd be up for doing that, and if nothing else, it might make it easier to get that "Get 20 kills by Destruction 2.0" achievement ;)
 
Ok, we'll be shooting for tonight at 10 EST / 9 CST. We'll get into a Live party and if you haven't added anyone to your friends list at that point you'll easily be able to. Then we'll hopefully be able to squad up on opposite teams...if not, we can do the team switching that moojuice mentioned.

I'll try to be on a few minutes before 10 to get the party up and running, if you see me on join up, otherwise I'll send invites out.

Yeah, we need to set something like that up now that we have more maps and more people have picked this up.
 
I've been staying up late the last 3 nights trying to squeeze all the feasible achievements out of the first Bad Compnay (only 257 more trees to run over in MP!), but if I can stay awake late enough, I'm interested in getting the knife achievement in BC2. Feel free to add me!

I am game for the Knife Achievement. Feel free to send me a friend request but also mention that this is for the knife achievement so I don't think it's a random friend invite.

I am free pretty much any day of the week but Thursday.

Tried the new Laguna Presa rush map and man is it choatic. If done properly, you can come from about any direction on the m-com stations.
 
so i finally tried to get the dentist achievement. I was laughing my ass off.

my squadmate threw c4 on an atv, i ghost rode it right into an mcom station and he detonated, m-com destroyed. it was fucking awesome.
this game puts a smile on my face.
 
hahaha those are funny. i think im gonna go play a few rounds.

medic/engineer are my best classes, im lucky to score 1/3 of my average when i play assault or recon.
 
So I just came back to the game after being away for a couple weeks. I'm still a bit of a noob, so this certain occurrence that kept happening last night has me confused.

Basically, I was playing Rush on defense on the new Laguna map. We were doing great, but every time we would get the attacking team down to about 8-10 tickets left they would fly a UAV right at the M-COM station and instantly destroy it. It was so frustrating because we almost had them beat at every single section.

And unfortunately, I don't play with friends, so despite my incessant spotting of the UAV no one would shoot it down in time. Is there some kind of self destruct button when flying it? I've never used one. Sorry for the potentially stupid question.

People are attaching C4 to it.

Edit: To explain it better, you can put multiple C4 bricks on one UAV. It takes a lot of them to blow it up so if multiple players attach C4 to a UAV, then fly it into the M-COM station and detonate it, it's destroyed. Same can be done on other vehicles though that's more of a suicide mission. People are debating on the EA boards if this is a legitimate tactic or an exploit, but on Bad Company 1 you could destroy the stations easier than in this game. At least it seemed to me like you could.

If you hit the C4 on a UAV will it go off ?

Seems to me if that's the case it makes the UAV quite easy to destroy so it should be possible to defend against it.
 
The UAV is pretty easily destroyed regardless, especially if its flying low, but I don't know if the C4 goes off if you shoot it. Besides that if someone keeps spamming that kind of attack and you know where the UAV station is on the map just have someone use a recon kit and snipe/mortar strike the UAV station.

That's pretty creative, I didn't even think of that. Thanks for the explanation.

Also, I just unlocked the M16A2. Loving it so far. I've been holding my own much more consistently in this game ever since I unlocked the AN-94.

Yeah .. I had to work tonight so I wasn't able to get on until about 11pm CST.

I'll be on Thursday though sporadically throughout the day and evening, just shoot me an invite. Might not talk too much though since I'm sick. Blah.
 
This Dr. Pepper thing is really pissing me off. What the hell is going on? I guess the 5 codes I'd already amassed are no good now since the "promotion has ended."
