Battlefield Bad Company 2; Vietnam (1200 points) out; plus 4 new free maps
Don't see anyone on besides lordopus and I, so it looks like Sunday will be the day.
I also have another person for tonight to help out.

10 EST/9 CST tonight. Pretty much everyone and anyone is welcome tonight. Even if we can't all fit into an XBox Party, the more people we have on the map, the easier it'll be to avoid people just randomly killing us and the quicker it'll go.

Someone more educated than me needs to suggest what map we do this on, by the way.

I'll try to get in on this tonight. Would much rather boost it with you guys than be douchy about it in a real game. I don't even think I have one Demo kill yet, so I know I'll never get this legitimately.

Does anyone know if you can get the achievement by playing a private match? We have enough people to do it it seems like, so that might be the easiest way. If not, just taking over an entire squad rush match might be the easiest since it's the smallest.

Well if we get like 8 people, I think we can run our own private match. I'm not sure exactly though cause I've yet to try it. I think the easiest way to boost this would be to play Squad Deathmatch on Isla Innocentes. There is 5 houses on the map I believe that all can be collapsed. Plus it's small so we could get it fast I suppose. After we blow them up, we can just start it over again. See you guys tonight!
I've noticed occasional lag, more than there was before, but not too bad. At least I haven't been kicked to the dashboard lately.
Shoot, spoke too soon, got booted to dashboard today. Lag was pretty bad too. This is the only 360 game I've played that has kicked me to the dashboard. I get dropped from MW2 games sometimes due to hosts dropping out or other random connection problems, but at least that takes me right back to the multiplayer screen. Still an awesome mp game, enjoying it much more than MW2 :)

Yeah, I've noticed some lag, too. And I've been booted to the dashboard a couple of times. I remember I started the game, was loading an MP game, turned around for a moment, and then I was on the dashboard. I thought I was losing my mind.

Achievement forums have people confirming you cannot get it in a private match.

So far I have read the best way to do it is get 2 squads of 4 and try and get in the same Squad Rush match. If we do it any other way it will be really hard to coordinate, especially in regular rush mode.

Yeah I was actually just reading about it. They said to search a match of Squad Rush with specific settings input and hope for the best. Sounds like a plan to me! I will be happy to finally 1000 this game. Now if only I could find someone to do a Treasure Trove runthrough on Lost Odyssey for me... Grr. Lol!

Wish I could game guys, but I can't seem to get a good net connection going for a while now. Cable guy should have me back up and running by Tuesday or so.

My suggestion is getting everyone into a "play with friends" room then go into game. We might be lucky to get our own public game. If we don't have 8, we can just tell people that enter that we aren't playing and hope they drop. Worst case we have to take down houses faster than they take down m-com stations.

Map with Port Valdez should have a couple houses that we can take down. Not sure about the other maps in Squad Rush (since I haven't played it once I got my Win Squad Rush pin).

I am going to get on early. Just send me the party when you are ready and I will join.

I'm ready whenever you guys are.

Use the extra explosives and improved demolitions specs if you have them unlocked. Choose assault class and choose a gun that doesn't have a grenade launcher cause then you'll get C4 AND you'll have the ammo box to replenish your C4 in case you don't bring down the building in one go. Ammo box is especially useful if you don't have the explosive specs.

10 EST, yes. I'll be on about 9:30 though, I see some people are already on. I'll send messages out in a little bit.

We'll give the "play with friends" thing a shot...hopefully can get 4 full squads to minimize outsider interference.

Having some logistical problems at the moment...trying to figure out how to get everyone in the same game. If possible, join my session in progress. Our Xbox party is full. Also try looking up the names of some of the other people on and joining their session.

EDIT - This is hit and miss...it's really hard to coordinate and get everyone in the same place. We may need to try this again another time after we figure out the best way to do it. We're still working on it now if anyone wants to give it a shot though.

There is also a problem right now with losing connections...I've been kicked to the menu twice now myself.

EDIT 2 - Our first person just got the achivement, so it is working. Just really slow while we work out the process.

EDIT 3 - We've made some progress. 4 people have picked up the achievement so far. No open party slots but we do have some open game slots...pretty easy to figure out what's going on, just follow your teammates that are holing up in a building and wait for it to come down.

Ok, done for the evening. We'll be setting up a second night soon, hopefully at least a few of the guys who got the achievement tonight will show up to help out.

On deck to get it next:

Ramo Z (Santurio)
bs000 (bs000)
Myself

(some are still playing as I write this so another person may get it)

Anyone who was in earlier this evening that bailed out can jump in too on the next one. I know the first hour or so was really annoying, sorry about that...I sort of figured that would happen since we didn't know what we were doing. The 8 player limit on a party stinks but we even got around that sort of - once people saw where their teammates were going to and just sitting there it was pretty obvious what to do.

So, we do have a loose strategy of what we need to do now - once we got rolling later on a decent map, it came pretty quickly, we were averaging two people getting it per map.

that was pretty darn fun. it was annoying getting everything sorted in the beginning but it got much smoother.

im up for helping you guys out, just let me know when.

Sorry I bailed out. A few of my friends got online and I could not get in the conquest game you guys got in as it was full. If you have a good way of getting it now, I would be up to doing it again. So add me to the list. Thanks.

Man. Started out today with a legit 20 round win streak. Stopped for a few hours, then proceeded to go 4-4 to end the night.

Is there a glitch with the achievements?

http://bfbc2.statsverse.com/stats-achievements/360/Panda Owning Em

I have 3 weapons unlocked in each class, but so far I've only gained the Achievement for the Medic class.

EDIT: NM. Figured it out. Need to have 3 guns locked separately besides your starting gun, so you need 4 guns total.

That statsverse thing is cool.

Edit: Dogtag count if off by like 30. I like around 83 unique on the in-game stats. Don't know how true the average lifetime is but if I only live 1 minute 30 secs thats pretty sad. Time spend with all the kits is pretty even. Though most of the kills lean toward the assault with recon a close second.
I'm glad they are planning to nerf the M60. It's stupid at this point. Every game I play the entire other team is using it. Wonder why...
Yeah it's probably for the best, I ain't gonna lie if my team is losing and I don't think I'm doing well enough I'll switch to it.

Sorry I left out as well. I just got pretty sleepy and have work in the morning. Ill be on today again I believe around the same time for an hour or so. Hope to get in on it again!

You might need to refresh the site.

Alright after moving for a job and being off of my xbox for about a month I should be getting back on pretty soon. I wonder what I have missed this entire time!

I unlocked it myself before, and I can definitely see why everyone uses it. I was just pointing, spraying, and praying, and I got a bunch of easy kills, especially with the magnum ammo.

What's odd to me is I have more kills with the SAW without magnum ammo than with the M60 with magnum dispite spending nearly the same amount of time with both. If the other team is using it, hell with it, I'm going to even the odds.

Whelp, just mailed out my copy of Bad Company 2 for a trade... Just got a little too frustrated with it, and I was about at my interest's end in terms of gameplay with almost nothing interesting left to unlock.

I will be moving to Splinter Cell: Conviction though if any of the [many] people I added for BC2 will be playing that as well :)

BOOOOO!!!!

I enjoyed playing with you the times that I would randomly join your games. Hope you come back to BC2 eventually.

Demo dog tags don't count on the stats site. That may be why

Early heads-up: we're going to shoot for round 2 of the Demolition Man boost-fest this Sunday @ 10 PM EST / 9 CST. Should go more smooth this time, especially if we get at least some of the same people we did this past Sunday. We've got three guys on deck to get it (including myself), from there we can just start working on whoever winds up joining that needs it.

ill try and make itll probably be a little late. thats around the time we eat dinner out west =)

Good luck with the boosting. I only need 2 more Demo 2.0 kills :). The UAV rocks. It's gotten me about 15 of those kills, but these last 2 are a pain in the ass. The game seems to always be against me.

I'll be there.

I'm gonna try and be a part of the boost-fest on Sunday if anyone feels like adding me. As you can tell I'm not wonderful at this game, but I still have fun with it. And is there an explanation somewhere in this thread of what exactly happens? Do we just all go in a house and let others take us out?

I'm considering jumping into this game based on the great things I've heard. Do you think I'm too late to the party at this point or will I be able to jump in and survive?

Are there any cheaters/mods/glitches that are bringing this game down like MW2? I completely avoided that game because of the cheaters.

If you're good at FPS games, you should be able to jump into just about any FPS and "survive."

The game's only been out a month, so no, not LTTP. I just got my copy last Friday.

About cheating/mods/glitches i havent seen nothing except dirty tactics like mortar spam and abusing the 10 second restricted area period to cross to certain points in the maps

Ps. do we have to FR a specific person to get into the sunday thing? cause only achievements missing are the last online ones

I'll try and hop online to help some others get it, but I can't guarantee that I'll be there since I'll be coming back from out of town at some point that day.

Agreed. There are some cheap tactics and weapons they might want to consider balancing, but I've played over 24 hours worth so far and haven't encountered anything that really made me scratch my head. Well, except maybe getting sniped with a handgun from across the map.

My demo kills seem to be coming from the little houses lately. Only 6 more left to get now. Might start playing C4 Assault on Nelson Bay again.

Yeah, you know, I haven't gotten any demo kills yet, I think, but I've been demo killed a few times, so I'm starting to think it won't be a massively daunting task.
