Hey guys I sent a couple of friend request to some of you. I'm willing to play the onslaught maps and just any other mode if you guys want. I really want to get the achievements though. I kind of stopped playing bfbc2 for the 360 but kept playing on my ps3 cus i have my ps3 in the room and i usually play at night in my room. I been trying to get all the pins and awards on ps3 and hopefully will do the same in the xbox360 too. So anyways i love this game so much that i got it for both my ps3 and 360... i would really like to get all the achieves.. thanks guys and hit me up if you would like.
 
Not sure if this was posted already, but the new patch should be available on the Xbox 360 some time this week:

Patch Fixes:


  • Acog and Red dot scope now equippable on MK-14 and G3.
  • Fixed a bug on PC where the G3 would do less damage than intended.
  • Reduced VADS push back and damage to balance it with the ZU23.
  • Fixed a bug where Vehicle Countermeasures would fail to remove tracer darts at high speed.
  • Reduced the reload time for Vehicle Countermeasures.
  • Slightly increased the AT4's damage vs armor to emphasize its anti vehicle role while keeping it balanced vs armor.
  • Increased the AT4's top speed and acceleration so users spend less time exposed when firing.
  • Increased the AT4's splash damage so it competes with other AT weapons vs infantry. The AT4 still has the least splash damage of all AT weapons.
  • Reduced the splash damage of the Carl Gustav to bring it in line with other explosive weapons. The Carl Gustav still has the most splash damage of all AT weapons.
  • Increased the 1 shot kill range of the M95 body shot to counter its lower rate of fire.
  • Fixed a bug with the SVU that gave it better close range damage than other semi auto weapons.
  • Reduced all weapon damage to the MCOM by 50%.
  • Fixed a C4 vs MCOM exploit on Atacama Desert.
  • Fixed a bug with FOV when aiming the M1911.
  • Lowered the close range damage of the AN94 to highlight its long range role.
  • Increased the accuracy of the F2000 on the move to highlight its role as a mobile AR.
  • Increased the close range damage of the shotguns to give them a greater advantage vs slugs.
  • Slightly lowered the damage of the M60 to balance its accuracy advantage vs other LMGs.
  • Slightly lowered the damage of the MG3 at close range to balance it with other high rate of fire weapons.
  • Slightly increased the damage of the UH6

I, for one, applaud the ability to finally equip the G3 & MK-14 rifles with the red dot sight. Not to mention the reduced weapon damage to MCOM Stations.

The G3 and the M14 are going to rape now. I remember when the game came out, they said the battle rifles would never have a scope or a red dot sight.

I will jump on whenever VIP map pack 7 comes out or Vietnam DLC.
 
Just picked this up a couple of weeks ago. Any CAGS want to play just send me an invite. I also just started playing Onslaught and am loving it so far.

Also prefer adult players that use a mic. I've put about 10 hours in random multiplayer and have only come across 1 player that used a mic.

Finally got my two annoying achievements (airkill & shoot down chopper with stationary launcher) over the break. Just waiting on getting up to level 22 now...I'm about halfway through 21 so it won't take long.

A couple friends just picked this up so I've been on with them a lot sort of showing them around, but I'm definitely still looking for Onslaught partners. I keep an eye out for a few of you but never seem to see anyone playing the game.

Playing solo with squads of people who never talk is quite frustrating. If you're lucky you can end up in a squad that doesn't talk but can kind of read what you and your teammates are doing, so the need to talk isn't *always* needed, but it's nice to have...
 
Is this game worth it? I didn't care for the 1st one....this one looks improved and it seems the kids stay away from this one as opposed to COD + the Vietnam map looks pretty awesome.....I can get this pretty cheap through Gamefly, but is it worth it?
 
Been playing my copy that I got used from Gamefly the past few nights...

Great game for the $15 I spent... I'm looking forward to the Vietnam Expansion.

I find it hard to spot enemies though, they blend in so well.

YES. A resounding YES. I've played this game more than any other over the past year. Multiplayer is very, very fun. And if you're buying used from Gamefly, you should be receiving the unused VIP pass in the case, so you'll get all the maps for free. The only DLC that has not been free so far has been the Onslaught mode, and the upcoming Vietnam expansion. (Also the completely skippable Spec-Ops alternate outfits.)

I don't know if you guys know this but the upcoming [free] VIP Map Pack 7 has 4 new maps. And now you are going to be like oh yea kirby "new" maps, right. Just like all those other "new" maps. No this time it is for real. 2 maps from the original Bad company and 2 real new ones based on BC2 single player. Pretty awesome. Edit: But also they are nerfing the Carl Gustav my favorite gun :(

No sound problems except some dudes mike buzzing last night. Feel free to add me anyone. I'm not that great a player. I still need to do some of the Onslaught stuff too.
 
Still adjusting to the maps but I will say they all offer something a bit different than what we're used to, especially Heavy Metal. Hooray for variety.

Did they add new music for the loading screens of the new maps? Maybe I just wasn't paying attention but at least one or two of the songs I heard I didn't recognize.

Was getting close to full achievements on this, then they fucking tacked on the Vietnam ones! Argh. Was hoping they'd be kept separate. Oh well. Should be on again tonight for a while...was in a few games with Hydrox yesterday where we promptly got decimated by some dude in a helicopter, although I did make a miracle tracer dart shot on a helicopter that had to be near maximum altitude. Makes me wish this game had a Halo-ish replay editor. Anyone who wants in send me a message when I'm playing.

Still need all the Onslaught stuff. I figured I'll just stick to the hardcore ones to get all the achievements at once. As long as we have one sniper/spawn bitch we should be ok.
 
I'm loving the new maps, I've gotten owned in Heavy Metal twice.

Yes Kane, they did add new music for some of the new maps :D I liked that small detail :D

I don't know if y'all have had the same issue as me but I have still not been able to receive my XM8 LMG silver star despite several kills I've gotten with it. I thought that, and several other small issues, would be something they would fix in this last update.

I just hate to stare at that silver star that won't disappear from my stats page :lol:
 
Onslaught was a lot of fun, and unless I am in a game of rush with my friends (or playing L4D or CV HoD) I'd be happy to help anyone with Onslaught. Friend me or msg me if interested, and I will try to help out.

Same. Playing Cold War a lot has easily decreased my k/d from 1.17 to 1.11 in a matter of one day. I normally don't care about K/D ratios but I was pretty proud of that considering how bad I suck at most FPS.
 
Looks like a lot of fun. 8 new maps total in the next month (including the recent vip pack) and the other BF maps that I haven't played in months will make this feel like an all new game. Now if only they would remake backstab and bridge too far
 
Played for a couple hours with Lifes Avenger and Stuttering Billy .. good times. I probably won't be on much this weekend, but Sunday night/Monday I'll be on regularly all week throughout the afternoon.

I had this happen once a couple months ago. Pretty weird glitch. No sound at all. I was in party chat with a friend at the time. Power-cycled my xbox after the match, and it was fine again when I reloaded it.

I noticed the same thing last night. It's a nice touch.

I love how big some of the new maps are in Rush, like Oasis, and the one from BC1 with the huge tank battle to start, forget the name. But the one in the snow (Cold War?), holy crap, that one is tiny, especially the first stage.
 
Just got my 360 and bad company 2 . Ganna sign upto live once the card comes in on monday can't wait to play. problem is I got the 4gb maybe I should have gotten the 250 model.

I use to play alot online with modern combat 2 back in the xbox days. Been a few years since I played anything online we'll see how it goes. I also bought reach but fuck I hate halo fanboys.

I currently have a 1month live card. can anyone tell me if it requires a CC??

Do I need to dl the 1.6GB Vietnam update just to start playing online again? I don't plan on buying the Vietnam expansion, so I'd rather not use up all that space. It keeps telling me I can't find any matches.
