dying light is on the best buy trade in site @ $31 and with the 30% trade in it comes to $40.30 with GCU it comes to $43.40.

How long is the 30% active, just this week?

i spent nearly $100k at best buy last year and i'm sure there are people who will top me. should get elite+ 4 lyfe

(some of it stuff for business but for a couple months best buy was honoring movers coupons on visa gift cards)

the 689 points for DL includes the 500 point preorder bonus I'm pretty sure - 500 + 189.

anyways dying light PS4 still has no TIV at best buy, not gonna pick up the game until they put it in their trade system. hopefully today or tomorrow. I got in on the $20 gamestop version but who knows if they will revoke and refund those.

Just picked up dying light. The $10 coupon actually came off the gcu price so with gcu, the coupon and my $5 preorder, it was only $35.xx with tax.

That's interesting since it worked the other way ($10 off first then GCU = $39.99+tax) for Madden 15 and Advanced Warfare. It's a minimal difference, but hey, $2+tax is $2+tax.

I do not think that the math adds up to GCU coming off first. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

I just picked up my dying light pre order and got burned on my $5 deposit. Did you guys have to go back to the store for them to fix this?

Same thing happened to me, but I noticed while swiping my credit card

The employee corrected afterwards, the new receipt now shows pre-order deposit 5 & it subtracts from the total

My receipt shows the same process as when I bought Madden & COD AW.

$59.99 - $10 off coupon = $49.99
$49.99 - 20% off GCU = $39.99
 
I redeemed my Dying Light costume this morning before I played the game. I can't find it in the in game duffle bag, and I can't find anywhere on how to re-download the content, it doesn't show up under game addons. Also, how do I transfer the content from the companion app into the game, do I have to wait for a certain point? I just unlocked co-op.

Yeah I did it for Madden and was expecting the same result. She scanned the coupon a bunch of times before it finally took $10 off. Maybe she manually did it, but at least it worked in my favor

Same problem for me. XB1 desperately needs a Transaction History section where you can redownload things.

Have you installed the update? Even if it's installed, it might not be under your outfits if you haven't updated it.

I'm just doing the tutorial and i had to change clothes: Fresh clothes, Ninja outfit & Special Agent outfit are available for me

Edit: DLC Outfits will be available after completing the prologue lol the costumes are there but I can't select them just yet

Did anyone else do that thing on the dying light website where if you preorder earlier you got more rewards? I haven't tried it yet, but how does that work. I haven't seen an email from the dev yet
 
First time pre-ordering and I can already understand why you want to avoid doing it in-store.

Went to CS, but the register there kept crashing so he pulled me over to the registers at checkout.

I don't really get why my deposit didn't come off (maybe tried using too many forms of payment/discounts)...after entering info and scanning the correct price showed up. $60 - $12 - $5 deposit. I hand him the $10 trade-in Q and it went to $35. I used $10 in RCs and it went to $25.

So my balance was correct, but when I used a $22.50 GC, it then said I still had to pay $7.50 (instead of $2.50) as if my deposit disappeared. At that point, he said he couldn't do anything except get me the $5 back in a different transaction after paying the $7.50. So he did a return/rebuy/pricematch on the second transaction and the register forced him to give me $10 back...so I ended up getting an extra $5 back. 

I didn't know he was going to do a return/rebuy, and he didn't ask for my BB info on the 2nd transaction...so I'm guessing I'm not going to get the $10 in points for pre-ordering now.

Yea I did, I'm actually the one who told htz to put in the OP. When you register and sign into your xbl or psn account on the dying light site it will be linked and will automatically be in the game. I'm not sure you can still do it though but for some reason the site says "6 WEEKS UNTIL LAUNCH = 6 DOCKETS"

So maybe try registering and you might get 6 of them? I did mine when there was 5 weeks left so I have 5 waiting for me in the game.

register your pre-order and see what happens, either you get nothing since the game is released already or you get 6 weapon dockets since it might be glitched :) https://dockets.dyinglightgame.com/

edit- Well I signed in and I have 9 dockets now instead of 5. LOL, Dying Light just keeps on giving. Had to edit, I meant 5, so I got a free 4 dockets somehow

Uh oh, just received my copy via UPS, Of course it came in a padded envelope and the case is rattling. Might have to go to BB and exchange it. Hopefully it don't fuck up with the 10 cert.

As long as you do a even return, it shouldn't be an issue. As long as you have a purchase on your account for release week and you preorder you will still get the Cert. And kept a copy of the game of course.

Personally I've received two games that didn't have the disk in place and they were fine though.

Thanks for the info. I decide to be lazy and not drive over there so I just opened my copy, look new so not a problem.
 
maybe it's just my best buy getting with it but the process for in store pick up changed a little. They used to have to print two copies of a pick up receipt (one to sign for them and one to keep) on full sheets of paper off a printer. Was kind of a pain, seemed like that's what always slowed down transactions. Either there is no paper, no ink, the default printer was down or someone is printing out 50 copies of something and have to wait for that to finish. 

Now two pick up receipts printed right off the register, signed one and the other was for me. Was prob the quickest I've ever been in and out of best buy. 

Enjoying dying light so far

yea thanks, preordered last sat and registered and got 6 dockets.

Is there a way to get more? I see there's a redeem code on their site for more dockets.

And looking and there site they say the weapons you get from the dockets are related to your current level, so you might not want to do it right away.

 
This may be a dumb question, but what are you guys entering for the Receipt Number field to get the Dying Light dockets? I see a long string of numbers next to "Val #:" under the receipt barcode--is that it?

My disc was loose in the case, but PS4 discs are pretty resistant to scratches, and it was fine.

As for the game, it's better than Dead Island (not that that's saying much) and the parkour is cool but it looks and runs like dogshit and I want every single character to die. I still enjoy the Duke Nukem-style kicks though.

Just depends on how the register is set up. I notice some stores employ the old method while others use the new method.

 
for those interested, you still get 6 dockets for entering in your info, i just did it. also i was wondering if anyone had ever traded in their game before the preorder bonus certificate was issued and if it effected it in any way. it wont much matter since the ps4 version isnt on the site yet, but after getting the gamestop dl ill probably just trade the physical version in, and amazon only gives $37

It shouldn't, since purchases and trade-ins are separate aspects of GCU.

I traded in pretty much every single new PS4 game last year within 2 weeks of buying it (with GCU) no problems at all. Just keep in mind the limit of 3 per platform - ie 3 Dying Light xbox ones, 3 Dying Light PS4s - per 6 months or 12 months, not really sure/clear. Used a big chunk of that trade in gift balance to buy the Claptrap CE.

I keep a google docs spreadsheet of all my tradeins and sort it by SKU so I never accidentally go over the limit, and can access it on my phone too.

dying light PS4 is STILL not up on best buy trade in :(

Put my physical copy on eBay yesterday and it sold for $55 within 30 minutes.
