Wonder if The Evil WIthin will be announced for a promotion soon. It was one of the games on the Kmart list.

Hopefully it does, one of my more hyped games of the year.

I gave this a 'kudos'. Worth a shot, though it's unlikely to change anything. I imagine Best Buy factors in the 20% off for GCU when figuring out preorder bonuses.
lol best buy don't even want to hear it I think they got butt hurt with the comparisons. They changed status to acknowledged and wrote:
"Since this promo has been replaced by our Get 10 promotion we will not be bringing it back at this time. Thanks for the suggestion."

I voted for it, we`re better going for additions to the current program. I`d like to see the bigger credits limited to GCU since they`re expecting $120 upfront they need to increase the benefits.
The best I could come up with in regards to major credit increases would basically $110ish credit every 5 games. $10 credit offers massively expanded selection of titles but every 5th game would come with $60 credit. You get the 4 $10 credits as usual w/i 14 days & then the $10 bonus per game plus the $20 on the 5th game. The base purchase pts would be 240 x 2 w/GCU for 480/500 accounting for the other $10.

Piggyback that will a 30 day locked in trade in value + $5 trade in bonus you`re looking at $48 + $20 credit day 1 with $40 trade in value for 30 days meaning you`re gaming for $8 a pop. BB can profit on the resales of the newer used games since they`ll be cheaper than the $50 ones at GS.

Someone has also brought up adjusting the price matching policy
http://forums.bestbuy.com/t5/Best-Buy-IdeaX/Bring-back-your-old-Price-Match-policies/idi-p/809604#M4915

If you`re planning to get a XB1 with price drop maybe BB can sweeten the deal with a 5x mybb pt promo on hardware

Nice, but we all know by now that any new AC game is going to be 39.99 by Xmas (32 with GCU)!
maybe not this time though since it next gen only. The Xbox 360 and ps3 version comet might be though. Cause there two completely different assassin creed games releasing during the same time period, which never happened before so it hard to say this time round. Look at assassin creed blackflag on next gen when has it ever been below $30? It hasn't the Xbox 360 and ps3 versions has but not the next gen versions

With CAG there`s always a way wasn`t there a b2g1 or some other promo last fall that pretty much made every next gen title under $40 or was that the buy 2 get ___ credit deal?

Even COD & GTA can`t hold their prices like they once could.

Hmmmm... increasing the pre-order bonus for Wolfenstein to $20 then removing the panzerhund pre-order bonus... They won't admit it but that is probably not a coincidence.
i think if they knew ahead of time they would have had the common sense to not put it in the weekly ad. i dont know what the deadline is on that but i think they would have had enough time if it was known back then.

I'm surprised by how valuable people found that figurine to be. It was clearly tiny and plastic. I guess I just don't see the value.

And I really doubt that the raise to $20 in rewards had to do with the figurine cut. This game is getting big reward promos everywhere.

Actually didn't happen with AC4 for PS4. It actually seems to be holding on to its price more stubbornly than most of the release titles.

In any event, for anyone that has the time a decent bang for the buck has been to buy AC titles at release with a big bonus ($20 cert, b2g1, etc) and finish it within 4-6 weeks. With the last three releases I had no problem getting most of my money back or making a few bucks when I was done with it. Generally once the AC games hit 39.99 for the first time the tivs across the board tend to tank down to the $10-$15 level or lower and resale gets tougher. As with all things ymmv and obviously this doesn't apply to anyone that keeps their games, but this has been working well for me for the last 3 AC releases.

So, count me in for AC:Unity with a $10 cert and 20% off. And +1 for adding a $10 cert for Evil Within, I wouldn't be able to resist that mess.

Last week Gamestop was giving almost $40 trade-in (with PUR) for ACIV for PS4 and Xbox One, so your point holds water even more than you think.

Yeah, Black Flag TIV has held really well for PS4/XB1. I picked it up for $22 on PS4 during the Target B2G1 launch sale (had the magic 30% off coupon as well) and traded it for $40 to BB back in late March/early April. Last week I traded in a 360 copy at GS that they mistakenly scanned as the XB1 version and that got $39 after promos. So, they're holding decent value this time around.

Point being, I'll get Unity with the $10 cert as well since I can easily get most of my money back.

Best Buy is now offering a $5 eGift Card in lieu of the Panzerhund figurine. That means you'll now get a $20 MBB cert and a $5 eGift Card on top of the 20% off GCU discount (if applicable).

This is the Part I Love now : "will include pre-orders placed through BestBuy.com for shipping" lol cause the panzerhund was only for instore pickup so this applies to shipped orders now to. which mean applies to me since a figure wasn't worth a 30 mins drive to do a pickup on for me.

Wow that's awesome - Nice work Best Buy. I would much rather have $5 to put towards another preorder rather than some lame Happy Meal toy.

For Wolfenstein? Highly doubt it. Did see signs for watch dogs though

damn, basically $25 certificate now, factoring the gcu discount. i can break even. i might change my mind , and  put in a preorder for it.

Ended up cancelling my Best Buy preorder for Watch Dogs in favor of going to Gamestop. I know it's stupid paying more for less but I have a LOT of Gamestop credit to burn so I'd rather do that option rather than spend cash at Best Buy.

Yeah, thats how it is for me but I just moved over 90 with of credit over today to pay for Watchdogs and Wolfeinstien. Ill just keep Mario Kart over at gamestop since I have 15% off new there anyways,

it pops up on your PUR acct when a nearby store closes
Ah I didn't know that.

Side question do those $5 off Purchase coupons from PUR work if you use them to pick up a pre-order.

For instance if I pay Watch Dogs $55 off will I be able to use the coupon for the rest when I pick it up?

Best Buy is really knocking it out of the park.

I wonder if they'll add a $10 certificate for this year's Halo. Or maybe the Halo 5 one is for that, even though 5 comes out next year.

Anyways, I'll continue to pre-order here. Can't beat $48 GCU + $10 certificate.

Great additions!! Hopefully some Sony exclusives like The Order and Driveclub get some love too. Also, its kinda weird seeing Halo 5 on the list considering it drops late 2015 lol.

With all the Halo news dropped today, BB is sure to capitalize on it.

suddenly I am glad I moved $60 in BB credit today lol.  Will definitely be preordering AC Unity, Far Cry 4, and Halo 5 in addition to Arkham Knight and Destiny...

Well thats Watch Dogs, Wolfenstein, Batman, Far Cry 4, Destiny, Madden 15, Halo 5 and possibly Middle Earth (depending on what ever the fuck is it, this is the first I have heard of this). Best Buy still showing the value in GCU. I cant believe I paid about 2 yearly subs worth and a $30 to renew for all this fucking value.

FarCry 4, the release date is 11-18-14 if you want to add that to the OP. It's great to see all of those titles added to the promo. I'm guessing after E3, a few more will be getting added. Whenever I go pick up Wolfenstein or Watch_Dogs, it looks like I'll be adding a few preorders to my account.

Edit: Also I just seen Wolfenstein is now receiving a $5 eGiftCard to replace the miniature. Not only was that game getting a special Cert before but now it's getting another $5, for a total of $25. That's crazy and with GCU, it basically brings it down to $23 for a PS4 game at launch. You almost have to buy it. Even if you beat it within a week and trade it in towards Watch_Dogs, I'd guess you'd get at least $40 for it. I did read somewhere that Wolfenstein, despite being single player only, offers about 20 hours of gameplay.
