So when are we actually going to get information what's offered? please, tell me it's 5 minutes before the site crashes a la Black Friday.

Too bad the originating thread has been long deleted, because that was a riot.

The only reason I hit silver last year was because of trades. I'd never spend that much at BB.

So anyone have an example of games/deals in last year's early access?

 
I don't have any information on what will be included in the event. Just make sure your MyBBY Elite Plus account is properly linked to your BestBuy.com account. You don't want to encounter issues getting the deals if they do happen to be good.

I think this is a first for Best Buy, most of the other premiere silver/elite plus events have been in-store only while this is online. (except for the annual black friday early access)

The only early access deal last year was getting in on some of the Black Friday deals early. So they were really good deals, but I seem to remember a half hour of refreshing and aggravation before getting the one deal I wanted.

 
I have not been able to place a video game order with any type of payment method recently. I think other items as well not sure. When I did it over the phone the lady said they put some hold on all videogames that you had to use a credit card to verify you are an adult or some shit idk. But here is to hopping the site wont screw me.

 
Is there usually a preview of the (preview) event? Or does the page just get refreshed with all of the deals once it goes live?
 
Is there a link to follow for when this goes live? I'm Elite Plus but never got any email about this event.  Also, what time is it supposed to start?

That is only for Elite status, not Elite Plus. Those "gifted" with Elite status (shouldn't) have access to this sale.

100% wrong. I just ordered a game last week. Final Fantasy XIII-2 for $10 from the BBY site and paid it 100% off in gift cards. I also bought three $10 PSN cards for store pickup on Monday and paid that off 100% with GC.

 
im an elite plus member until 2015.  i hope its something worth buying i need to rebuild my home theater system.

Is it giving you an error when you check out? This happens anytime I try to order from BBY when I'm using Chrome. If I switch over to IE, it goes through just fine.

 
Still no additional info on this? I'm assuming that I'll wake up tomorrow to find that there is one deal I'm interested in and it has been sold out for hours.

 
Hoping for some good stuff. With Amazon pushing customers away, I'll likely be doing the bulk of my game shopping at Best Buy this holiday. I ordered Batman Blackgate for Vita yesterday afternoon from Best Buy and it was already delivered to me earlier today. Crazy, especially considering the game releases on Friday.

My guess is that we're going to have to hit the site at midnight tonight to see if anything is live there. Maybe we'll get some info beforehand, but it's looking like we're running out of time for that.

 
I'm starting to think that this may be a mistake and that this is supposed to be for November 24th. This would give Elite Plus members access to the Black Friday sales one day before when it is expected that the other Elite members will have it.

Early BF for Premiere Silver (Elite Plus) was around 1-2 weeks before Black Friday if I recall. Granted Elite may not get that early of an access, but I don't think what you are stating is accurate overall.

 
For the past 2 years early BF access for Silver was Monday (or Tuesday) on the same week as BF though last year they did give us a look at what the sales were going to be a week early.

We'll see what happens tomorrow but I just think it is odd that so many Elite Plus members have not received any notice on this.

Why do I get the feeling that BBY named this the Holiday "Kickoff" Event on purpose? I hope I'm wrong, but we'll probably just see "deals" on HDTVs that might be bundled with Madden 25...:wall:

It was on an email that I received on October 17th about gifting Elite Plus status to others.

At least that was the information I got about it.

am I the only one that believes elite plus status doesn't make any sense? Why would you exclude a source of income that could possibly go to another competitor?

He's saying that it should be open to everyone not just elite plus. Meaning he wants to get in on the deal and buy stuff early too. (not just him in theory but everyone), His thoughts are that if they open the buy stuff early deal to everyone including him then best buy would sell more stuff and make more money.

My thoughts on it is. This way they give back to their loyal customer base. While creating hype for blackfriday and also making people want to spend more money to get this benefit for next year.

The thing is mate. If they were to make it open to everyone then whats the point of black Friday? Hell lets just have deals all year around eh?

Exactly, especially if it's a limited quantity item. Of course you are going to give your proven loyal customers first shot at it, versus the deal seeker that's only there for the deal and may not be back again until next year.

 
Yeah, was coming to say I got the same email. Games are Last of Us, Rayman Legends, Scribblenauts Unmasked and Puppeteer. Prices were MSRP, so I assume they just haven't been updated.

There was an insignia TV, a deal on a Nikon D3200 (good camera), galaxy tab 10", a cell phone + $100 giftcard gimmick and a couple other things. None of the actual prices were up, but at least I know there was nothing I was really interested in.

I am elite plus and never got any email about this? is there a link to the main page, not just the game section. I would like to check it out all the items, even if the prices haven't updated yet. Thanks.

I hope that Rayman Legends is 29.99 though. :rofl:

 
I'm gonna grab that cheap laptop if it is the right price (preferably under $200, which is maybe a pipe dream).

Is Asus any good?  I really just need it for web surfing and the occasional streaming.

EDIT: Oh, it doesn't even have a 10-key.  With all that space in the keyboard area, that's kind of BS.  I'd have to debate it even at $200.  They have a better looking one on sale in their ad this week for $250.
