Best Buy / McDonalds $5 off ps2 coupon question

I know my Circuit City will accept competitors coupons and they will take the BB/Mcdonalds coupon (I asked customer service). What I'm wondering if anyone has had any luck using the $5 off coupon at CC in conjunction with a game thats on sale. Specifically, I'd like to get Star Ocean while its on sale for $14.99 this week and use the $5 off coupon in conjunction. Should I even bother trying?
