Best Gaming Convention You've Been To

What is the best gaming convention you've ever been to?

I went to E3 three times back in 04-06 but after seeing this E3 I don't think I will see that again. What are some other good conventions you have been to so I can pick one to attend? They can be retro or new games, I like it all.

You should attend San Diego Comic-Con International as they have TONS of gaming stuff. More than E3 nowadays.
 
My personal fav is GDC since I get to see a lot of my friends there, but it really isn't a gaming convention and I think that is what I like about it more, it is more about our work then anything else.

As for a real gaming convention, TGS is a blast if you can ever go to it.
 
I went to E3 back when it was in Atlanta, I think it was 98'. Anyways it was the E3 when they were showcasing the Dreamcast and I had a blast. Then E3 moved to the west coast and it lost the fun. Only because I couldn't go.
 
Never been to one and really never had a desire to go.

I just always envision the horror of a crowded gamestop packed with annoying nerds multiplied by a factor of 1,000.
 
Someone else told me about Philly Classic. I will have to look into that.

Has anyone been to "Too Many Games" or "VGXpo"? They are coming up and I was considering going to one of them.

What about E for All? I think last year was the first year but it could be fun.
 
Ive been to Digital Life '05 and '07.... I liked '05 better. thats the only if u want to even call them gaming conventions that ive been to
