Best Sylvester Stallone Movie (Important!)

My vote goes for First Blood (the 1st movie). I also like when he did that cameo as a street thug in that Woody Allen movie.

Honorable Mentions: Rocky 1, Victory.

Your thesis?

You are writing a 32 page report that basically determines your entire grade on a poll on a videogame shopping website asking which Sylvester Stallone movie is the best?

Curse you smiley face!

I want to go with Over the Top, I remember imitating that crap for days after watching the movie as a kid. But I think I'll go with the first Rocky.

32 pages! *pfffft* I'm quoting whole movie reviews and triple spacing that fucker. More like 2 pages of original work.

I heard he was training for another Rocky movie...

I would have voted for "Copland", but it wasn't a choice, and I didn't see the "Other" option.

went with other since there was no choice for "sly stallone was in a good movie? when?!"... :)

Edit: I forgot he was in Assassins. I did kinda like that one. I guess that could be another way of looking with my selection of the "other" choice.

Yeah, he's pretty much done all crap since '95. (I actually haven't seen Cop Land. I'll have to check it out.)

Are you people all mental? The best movie he ever did was Demolition Man - by FAR. Taco Bell wins the franchise wars. He doesn't know how to use the three seashells. You are fined five credits for repeated violations of the verbal morality statute. You can take this job and you can shovel it. Looks like he matched his meat. You really licked his ass. What's your boggle? Murder Death Kill.... etc. There's too much awesomeness to this movie.

Rocky III has Mr. T in it and all, but Demolition Man just kicked ass. It's one of those semi-goofy action movies that by all accounts should suck, yet it's always fun to watch. Plus they predicted Arnie would be President one day, and look he's already Cali's Governor...
Biiiig oversight.
yeah, also Assassins was cheesily decent too and should be on the list.

Rocky IV.

Apollo dies, Rocky trains, Dolph Lungdren punches at 1800 psi, and Bridgette Nielson was actually hot.

Best movie, hands down.

If you could do polls with 20 options I'd have put them all in. Cliffhanger was the last to be left off, Assassins and Oscar would have been the next ones in. As I said, never saw Cop Land so didn't know of it's merits :)

I'm just glad a few options other than 'Other' are gaining some traction

Copland felt like every other movie to me. It wasn't anything special. It's like a typical Ray Liotta movie.

Thanks for the spoiler warning.

NOTHING IS OVER! NOTHING! you just can't turn it off. it wasn't my war. You asked me I didn't ask you.

They started filming already
Thanks for the spoiler warning.
Why put a spoiler on something that's been shown on TNT twenty times a year for 20 years? It's your own fault for not bothering to watch it. And he dies in the first half hour anyways.

yeah, sarcasm on the internet either doesn't work or I suck at conveying it. :D

Does that mean that Goodfellas is typical.?:cry: ( Walks away in anger...)

Oh, yeah, that was a pretty bad job at conveying it. Sorry.

That was the initial character, and he really made his career by copping off variations.

Copland was miserable... I understand it's his job to act, but him playing a pussy for half the movie didn't intrigue me in the least.

Cobra and Demolition Man probably my favorites.

I had to go with Demolition Man. Rocky's probably the best, but for just straight out enjoyment Demolition Man seems to do it for me.

Now if only they would make video games based upon these movies...
It's Judge Dredd, not Dread. ;)

And I think Copland is his best, yes, since he did try to act in it.
Woops, that'll teach me to not just C+P from IMDB

over the top LOL! I voted for Stop or my mom will shoot! I love that movie. I also like the specialist and get carter. I also suck at watching movies.

I voted for Rocky, although I did enjoy Assassins, Demolition Man, & Driven for just action kicks. Who would've thought Stallone would've peaked so early in his career.
Oscar.... where Sly plays "Angelo 'Snaps' Provolone".

Oscar for me. I love that movie.

I just had to vote for over the top. It's just like a bad car wreck or a fire, just can't look away. Plus who can argue with the awesomeness of working out your arm-wrestling arm while driving you big rig just too much sweetness there.

on the other hand, my second place vote would have to go to demolition man, Murder Death Kill indeed.
