So I happened to find a list of their games that they are giving some good money on, I guess to compete with Gamestop. Here is a copy of the list. I dont know if you have to trade in more than 1 game to get the deal, but thought others would be able to chime in with their experience. Of note is the hot shots golf trade in for PS3 (if you were able to get it from the sears clearance).

Added by Io: Note that you can also trade games in using this site:
http://ebay.eztradein.com/ebay/
which is handled by the same processor (Dealtree) used for the Best Buy program. In this case, though, you can get PayPal payments instead of Best Buy gift cards. The trade-in values and processing methods seem to be exactly the same.

-----
I tried looking for the $20 and $30 trade in value games but came up empty, if you want to provide the link so I can add it here, let me know via PM.

UPDATED: since it keeps getting asked

1. Can I take them to a physical store?
Games need to be mailed in. If you try to do an instore trade from the website it will redirect you to mailing it in.

2. How many days do I have to mail it in?
30 days from initiating the trade. Mail it in ASAP as the processing time until you get your money differs and could be a wait.

3. Are trade in quotes locked in or do they get valued at time of processing?
Get your games in fast enough and you will not have to worry about this. But the majority believe that you are locked in as long as it gets there before the 30 days are up.

4. Do games have to be complete?
Case, Manual, and working game are your only options. So yes, full credit if you have everything. But we are not too sure on how they determine scratches affecting playability (if they physically test the game during processing). Just clean all smudges and fingerprints prior to mailing, and if you have deep scratches it is up to you to chance them saying the game does not work.

5. What happens if they say the game is worth less than trade in quote?
You can either accept their valuation or PAY to have your game shipped back to you.
Now, I still have the 2 missing ones from May 28th but I'm not alone in that (what with many other people here having missing submissions from the "dead zone" of May 28-June 1). I sent my third email about that this evening so we'll see where that goes...
Yep, I'm still in the same boat as well with a trade-in that had a post office arrival date of May 28th. DealTree initially told me this:

"Thank you for contacting us. Because video games are received by Gamers Factory, not Dealtree, they are not received into our system. Video Games go through the same process as trade-ins that are delivered to one of Dealtree's facilities, however you will only receive email notification once the payment is issued. Payment will be issued within 7-14 days of receipt at the video game processing facility. We appreciate your business."

Of course, this person is wrong because I have always received an email when it gets verified and another when payment has been issued. But that's besides the point. I've sent another email now that another week has passed and am waiting for a response...
My 20x Planet 51s were verified today at full value :) they didn't screw me over due to the new policy
20 r u serious-wow-wonder how their system broke-

lucky they aint dicks imagine having to pay to return all that shit to you-n i do mean shit-

the 3 limit needed to be done for their sake-or they'd be shit out of luck-be nice if they kept at 5 though

hopefully they come back with some nice tiv and become a bit faster-

Everyone keeps acting like "how dare you abuse their good nature" and "good thing they switched to limit 3 before it was too late". But you know what? If they're so stupid as to allow themselves to get swamped with junk titles, it's their own fault. Owned by bestbuy? Bestbuy offers a game at 10? They offer to buy it back at 20? How stupid can you get? Corporate lack of communication at it's finest.

Long story short, boo-freaking-hoo. Know why coupons say "limit 1"? Know why companies say "1 per household"? Because OTHER companies are smart enough to know how to impose limits for their safety. If dealtree didn't until just now, it was a costly lesson but they deserved it.
Verified is not the same as getting paid and it doesn't seem like they have paid anyone in the last 7 days or so. :whistle2:#
Maybe they're waiting for some ebay auctions to end so they can get some money in their pp account. :)

I'm definitely finished using them and probably should be happy that it's just one game that I have stuck in their limbo. I'd be happier if they'd send it back, allowing me to trade in it elsewhere, even for much less at this point. And I'd be happiest if they'd get their act together.

Seems that the shipping address has changed at some point in the last few weeks. Has anyone else noticed when this might have occured? Just wondering if it was around the end of May/first of June timeframe.

Edit: When viewing your estimate, it shows a Cincinnati address to ship to, but when you click to print your shipping label, you get the other address.

Yes, I pointed this out several days ago. It seems to have changed a few days after the "stealth" policy change. But are you just printing previous estimates, or actual new ones for video games? The older labels cannot be changed since they were generated a while back with the original address. But I'm wondering if new estimates will have the new address.

Are you sure this is new? They've always used two different addresses AFAIK. They use one (and one reason it shows UPS) for everything except video games and one for video games (different processing center).

I'm pretty sure it never showed Cincinatti, OH on the page, before, when submitting games. It showed the MD address but with the UPS thing (and then the label was USPS). In fact, I'm positive of this because I used to hand write the "eZTrade-In Trade # xxxxxx" part from there on to the "Best Buy" address labels - but other than that, the addresses were the same.

But it could very well be that it just changed like that since their video game trade-ins went dormant (if you didn't know where to look ;)). Maybe that is an address for other trade-ins and if you actually generate a trade-in it will still go to MD when you print the label.

like you said they had great tiv-a nice pay pal option-n you trade in more than 3 copies of a game within 3 months-

now tiv suck-no pay pal option-and limit 3 per year-big big dif-

all i'm saying is this could have lasted.

it didn't have to change to what it is now and that would have been nice-

Just received payment for two games but nothing on the may 28 game. Will call tomorrow, letting them know that I'm not the only one who is still waiting for a game past due.

No sign of payment, either to Paypal or snail mail, so this is getting me annoyed. I figured I'd have a nice surprise waiting when I got home from helping a buddy of mine pack all of his stuff to move tomorrow.

He's going from our home state(PA) out to someplace in the boonies in MO. It's like 100 miles from St. Louis.
Sorry if this has been covered before but...I can't see anywhere to trade in games at eztradein.com anymore. Did they remove the trade ins for games?
Ditto. When I use the drop down menu and select video games it says "There are no items in this category." This is with eztradein. Best buy seems to be working normally but I have no interest in BB credit at the moment.

Wait, so is it just that nobody has received payments for May 28th submissions, or is it that no payments have been made since the change... period?

Just asking, because if it's the latter they may be holding off on payments until July 1st to help spread out their pain from this fiasco over a three month period instead of two (depending on if they produce monthly or quarterly reports)... if it's just the one day (May 28th) then they've most likely just gotten lost.

As for those people STILL asking for a link to EZ-trade in games... it's been posted a number of times... but here it is again. Use it at your own risk (must be logged in for it to show up: https://ebay.eztradein.com/ebay/QuoteCalculatorVideoGames.cfm?platform=Wii&aCap=Y&pf= )

No, dykenom, we haven't even gotten verification for packages they received on May 28th (and, apparently May 29 and June 1)! I wouldn't be so upset if payment hadn't occured yet if they just acknowledged getting them!

Otherwise, though, except for yruluis's post above where he said he just got payment for two games (was that Best Buy cards or PayPal via eztrade-in?) I don't think anyone has been paid since June 8th (which is just a week ago, so no big deal, really). See, on June 8th they paid me for a few things that got there after my May 28th recieved submission which is what raised a red flag with me even back then. I've sent now 4 emails off about that package they got on May 28th and have only gotten the canned response that things are slow now and they will look into it. But that doesn't explain how they got every single thing I submitted well after that, when the policy changed, and have verified all of them.

I have received payment from the may 28th submission. However it was one copy of SMB. Im guessing all of you guys had more than one ( i didnt get lucky)

Yeah, it really sounds like those May 28th packages were just "lost" despite being delivered. You're right, though, this is week 3 of no acknowledgment and that is beyond acceptable. I have no idea how they lose the item AT the processing center itself. The only way I could see that is if they tossed the manifests by accident.

I don't know how many transactions you have remaining (payment-wise) with them, but I'd suggest keeping on their case if you dont have any left. I only say use caution because you don't want them invoking their very one-sided trade "agreement."

Well, my last 15 SMB's have changed status to "waiting payment" which usually mean that the gift card will be shipped out within 3 days or so. Once I get it, I think I m done with these guys......

May 28th submission or did it get there then? We're talking ones that got there then, not having the estimates made then. My missing one had nothing to do with SMB - it was actually sent in before that all happened.

Yea, ive had 3 orders received between 6/4 & 6/12 that have been verified but my order of only Two games that they received on 6/1 hasn't.

All five of mine went "payment pending" this morning. Here's hoping it shows up by this weekend. We close on our new house Friday and will be moving in this weekend and dont want to wait for the bb giftcards to get forwarded

Same here...all of my SMB's went to "awaiting payment". Hopefully my Lego Indy's are granted that status in the next 5 days or so, and I have all my gift cards by the end of the month. Then I will patiently wait for double points or 12% off coupon, whichever comes first.

My first 3 SMB's have been "payment processed" so I'm just waiting for the $60 g/c in the mail. The 2nd batch of 6 SMB's say "verified 6/10" on the ebay eztradein site but I never received an email for any of them saying that they had been "verified," so I guess if they don't go into any kind of payment processing by tomorrow I'll be contacting DealTree.

Here's the latest response I've gotten concerning 5/28...

"Thank you for contacting us. Due to our recent promotions for video game trade-in, our processing facility is receiving a significantly higher volume of games. This is causing a slight delay, which we sincerely apologize for this difficulty. These games will be verified within 3-5 business day. Payment will be issued according to the normal processing time (7 days from date of verification)"

So, I'll wait and see if my trade-in does get verified within the next 5 days, though I know a delay is not the reason when games delivered after that date have been verified. Just another generic response.

So, they use the same facility as Gazelle for their games, and my 3 gazelle boxes (41 games total) were all processed and verified the very next day after they were delivered just this monday (through gazelle)? I call LOLs on that response. :applause:

the 3 Motorstorms i sent to BBTradein were verified today. Still waiting on my older June 1 order to EZ. On a good note, this order was placed after the 3 game per year limit and i had already gotten credit for 2 over at EZ.

I'm in the same boat as you, Verified 6/10, no email, no change to Payment Pending. I got paid for the first shipment, so I'm not going to worry about this one. We should get paid by Friday.

When you get your verified email, is it supposed to say they will pay to your paypal ID ## or should they actually show your ID in the email? I say this because I cant remember if I told them my paypal ID it was so long ago and now I worry they dont have it. I say this too because the same email state, "if you dont have a Paypal Id already, you can sign up with the following links"

My emails read the same way as yours, PayPal ID *jumbled mess* When the money arrived it arrived into my PayPal account.

Thanks. I figured as much. I just wanted to check since I have been doing stupid stuff lately without thinking.

Well, I'm probably a damn fool for doing so, but I sent another game in today and will be getting 2 more ready to send tomorrow. They are all within the new 3 per game limit, but still I would have liked to have seen some more recent payments go out before sending them. After these 3, I have about 6 more that I could send in as well.

i sent an email again, since they said to contact them after 3 business days if i hadn't gotten verified. And the response just was another "we are busy - wait 3-5 business days"....

I've done this 3 or 4 times now.

I'm also waiting on verification for 5 different games I sent 5/25 and the tracking says it arrived on 6/1 but my status still says "waiting to receive." :/

What exactly, is their email address? I looked, but I couldn't find it.

Your item was delivered at 4:26 PM on June 14, 2010 in HUNT VALLEY, MD 21031.

how does that happen . they were shipped both at the same time but one got there 2 days before the other ... now i waiting for them to get verified

Meh, I had 4 packages going to the same place (gazelle + eztradein are same processing centers). One of the two May 28thish packages was lost, the last one (mailed like June 09 days later) was received first, one is chain-misrouted (went from MD to NC to NJ to MD and back to NC... currently still in transit) and the other was side-by-side with the misrouted one but managed to go from NC to MD and delivered.
15 days later and they still havn't verified em yet?

wowowowowowow that's horrible :/
We've been over this like 20 times. There was a "dead zone" of packages received May 28th-June 1st where NONE of them got verified. If anyone had any recieved then that were verified let us know but I haven't seen a credible report of any having been. Some people are saying their May 28th submissions were verified and paid, but I think they meant that was when they made the estimate. We are only talking about ones that ARRIVED at the processing center May 28-June 1st. I'm starting to think they had a bunch stolen or something. They aren't doing a damn thing about it either. It has nothing to do with the type of game or quantity or the new limit since this was all before that and one of the games in my 2-game package was one I had never sent before (or since).

I'm just glad that the other package I sent at the same time (May 25th) as my missing one was a rare (for me) 4-game Parcel Post package. That took a few days longer and got there on June 2nd, got verified on June 4th, and paid with the last big payment batch on June 8th. Meanwhile I and many others are still waiting for verification of stuff they got before that one.
