hmm... i havent seen the ad yet just the text version. would u recommend i just buy the games and movie also then? just incase on that day they are out of copys since they "bundled" them together with the ps3s. i could just walk in with the ps3, movie ,2 games and say i want to return and rebuy. that way i wont have to go looking for the games then return back with em through all those people anyways. yea i guess ill do that anyways cause i just thought about it. lol

When does GS / EB ever have the best deals on games? Is there some sort of alternate universe I'm not aware of that has GS's with actual reasonables prices. That's almost like saying "I'm shocked that Best Buy doesn't have the best buy on this product" ;-) Just sayin ... These stores are terrible most of the year, with occassional good deals, Frys & Amazon are far more competitive on a regular basis.

so far i am hoping to get Left 4 Dead 2 and Dragon Age Origins from bestbuy.com or hopefully amazon for $35 a piece (or cheaper, please amazon!), and a PS2 from gamestop so i can get my Final Fantasy X......other than that, i might make a trip to walmart later in the morning and if amazon has any sweet deals i might pick those up too...

They don't open the service desk for returns/exchanges/issues during the doorbusters. They'll take everything that's in the ad as a doorbuster and mark them for NOT AVAILABLE for in-store pick up earlier in the week so people can't do that.

Well the K-Mart in North Las Vegas, NV put there display out early in error (one of the employees was freaking out because it was pretty muched cleaned out). I can confirm that one of the PS2 bundles will include Neo Geo Battle Coliseum, Fatal Fury Battle Archives Vol 2 and Superman Returns for $9.99 as I was able to get that three pack. The Wii bundles were Crosswords and Mahjong/Solitaire. The guy said there were a bunch more, but since it was pretty much cleaned out when I saw it, don't know what else may have been there. The DS bundles were total crap. The bundle for $9.99 I got was a steal though, I love the old SNK fighting games and basically got four of the old Neo Geo games that I once paid $200 a cartridge for $9.99.

Man, I'm really underwhelmed with this years deals. There are some pretty good ps3 bundles though, and I'm, uh...*incouraging* my dad to get a blu-ray player in the living room; pick up a ps3 bundle, sell the games on amazon/ebay and walk away with the system for around $230 (ideally).

I've really got my fingers crossed for Amazon and Newegg. Last year was my first BF shopping experience, what's the deal with shopping online on BF? Do you have to get up super early on a first-come-first-served basis, or are the deals timed throughout the day, like with amazon's gold box? I'm looking at a couple hard drives from newegg, and blu-rays, games, GPS, portable dvd player, etc. on amazon. Might still hit a couple stores like Target for small appliances, but I'll probably be at home behind my computer for the majority of the day

Meh, either way I can't go wrong. Let's say I hit the jackpot and find a mess of $30 games and walk away with 5 AAA games for $25, (L4D.. Gears 2... Bioshock.. etc.), awesome. At the same time, if I walk out with an older game I normally wouldn't have bought, it's a win win. Hard to pass up a retail game for $5.. Especially with some of the stuff they charge $5 for on XBLA. Hell, usually I stick to complete with case/manual stuff, but it's hard to complain at this price point even with a disc only game.

Just make sure it's a standalone Hollywood Video. IIRC, if you didn't know, the ones with gamecrazy stores attatched aren't running this promotion. Also, I'd suggest as the other poster said to check the inventory first, or just don't go into it with real high hopes and expectations. It can really be hit or miss. They ran this promo once before IIRC, and some CAGs walked away with a ton of games, and others were lucky to score a game they were kinda interested in.

I have Magna Carta 2 and it is a good, fun RPG. It plays like final fantasy XII a bit, but the battle system is more action oriented. Unfortunately, the best recent deal on this was probably to get it during the B2G1 free sale the week it came out. I have yet to see any other deals on it and due to its popularity (or lack thereof), I doubt it will be on sale for Black Friday.
