Those will fluctuate with future releases... especially if they remain sealed.

MGS4 is a wildcard. I can see if being worth nothing down the line.

Tales CE seems pretty consistent with other Tales games. Tales games, like many JRPGs, tend to retain their value longer than most others.

Bioshock LE is the obvious highlight of this generation.

Completed listings for the Street Fighter IV Collectors Edition (PS3) range anywhere from $60-$110 (the only $60 one was with a crushed box).
Ninja Gaiden Sigma is another one where the CE is still very much in demand for the PS3. It goes for around $80 or more usually which isn't bad for a game where the regular version now goes for $20.

Who the hell knows why, it was a terrible CE

For a LE package like the BlazBlue, would Gamestop.com ship it in a box or in a padded envelope? I'm interested in seeing how they shipped the SF4 CE / RE5 CE. If they are going to ship it in an evelope, I'm sure it will be beaten to hell and back by the time it arrives.

Btw, did anyone manage to get the $10 coupon (from the 5OFF60 glitch) to work on this preorder?

Depends how big the box is. MY SFIV CE was in a box, but it was a large box. If it's just the game and the bonus discs case the box probably won't be that large, maybe a slipcase. If that's the case it'll be a padded envelope, but if it's a slipcase there's really not a lot of give for the box to be crushed.

What is the glitch? I tried the 5OFF60 in the cart and tried to check out, but the coupon didn't take.

There are images of the package in the first post. It looks to be the size of the SFIV/RE5 ce's, so I assume it'll ship in a box.

That's just a mock up though. If the premium edition does just have the game and bonus discs and they package it in the same size box as RE5 or SFIV that would be ridiculous and a huge waste.

And people looked at me funny when I said I hoped the box was smaller than the mockup :(

It'll probably have the same thickness of 3 cases - game, bonus DVD and soundtrack. Would gamestop ship Resident Evil: EC or MGS: EC (3 game sets) in a padded envelope?
On the front page advertisement it says: "Online Art Book".

;)
Whoa, what?
Btw, did anyone manage to get the $10 coupon (from the 5OFF60 glitch) to work on this preorder?
nope, I'm thinkin it doesn't work on preorders. GRRRrrr

(Assuming ur talking about the 10.00 "we're sorry our system screwed up, here's a consolation prize for canceling ur order" coupon?)
On the front page advertisement it says: "Online Art Book".

If it was an "online" artbook it would say code will be emailed to download artbook. The page says artbook will ship with game for online customers only. They wouldn't have a limited run of online artbooks, that wouldn't make sense. It would be madness.

So a physical, hold it in your hands, get paper cuts if your not careful art book will be shipped with the game for people who order online only at GS.

when i ordered my sfiv le and used free shipping it was shipped in a ups bubble envelope, needless to say it was returned to the store. box did get a bit knocked up.
i really hope they ship in the box as i dont want my game box to get all beaten up
I hope they don't, but they probably will. I'm sure GS does it to save money on shipping supplies.

I just ordered this after reading all good things said so far in this thread. I was thinking of getting it initially but this just made it a done deal :)

Glad I read this thread to find out about the art book. I was going to pre-order it in store. Thanks OP!

Order online and have it shipped in order to get the artbook. Shipping is free with SAVER anyway.

If they decide to skim on packaging and ship it in a padded envelope, just return it to the store. Enough of these returns may probably send a stronger signal to the corp.

i was initially planning to return it to the store, keep the art book, and preorder someplace else. did amazon announce the limited edition in their inventory yet?
edit- guess not, wish amazon would hurry already.

ALL first editions of the game are "Limited Editions". Only difference between ordering at GS and ordering at Amazon is the artbook. hmmm, keep book, get from Amazon for cheaper (no tax)... Er, not that I would consider it *shifty eyes

I think that all shipping supplies provided by a shipping company (USPS, FEDEX, UPS) are all free. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Its just pure laziness if they don't ship properly. What they do pay for though is the shipping which may costs a little more depending on the packaging.
How do you pronounce the name of this game: is it "blahz blue" (as I suspect) or "blaze blue"?
it's pronounce burei buru

but us americans say Blaze Blue
it's pronounce burei buru

I've been pronouncing it that way too reading the katakana ブレイブル (burei buru). It sounds when you read it as you are saying Blay Blue. If it would have been Blaze in Japan, it should have read in katakana something like bureizu buru.

Locally, I think it is best to pronounce it as Blaze Blue.

After days of debating it, I finally decided to pre-order a copy from Gamestop using the code I got from my canceled 5off60 order and the saver coupon for a total of $52.xx (paid w/ store credit). Hope this is worth it from a gameplay perspective :)

I was thinking about doing this but the problem with that is if you decide to cancel or return the item, you don't get that $10 back since that code doesn't have any cash value, like gift cards do.

I preordered it from GS a little while ago with a $25 gift card, but after tax/shipping (I refuse to wait for SAVER, and I can't even change to saver after the order is placed anymore), I'm still paying $48. I can do much better from Amazon since I have more access to giftcards.

So I'm thinking of preordering from Amazon as well (and changing my gamestop order to standard slow shipping), then returning the gamestop one. What's a good excuse to use to return a sealed game though? Gift and changed my mind? I'm bad at lying...

You're going to call back just to change it to slow shipping, then return it when you get it. Why don't you just cancel the gamestop order

Uh, you can change shipping options on online orders... online. That's really the point of online orders.

And I want the artbook.

I don't think they actually care about why you want to return it but corporate just wants a reason. At mine they don't even ask, really.

The packing slip you have to return to the store for a return will list the art book on it. The store will probably ask for the art book as well.

These guys are just as brilliant as the ones that come into the B2G1F sales. Hoping they can keep the 'free' game after returning the other two.

One thing you can do is buy another copy at the store and get a gift receipt. Then return one copy with the receipt you just got from buying it and then return the copy u got in the mail with the gift receipt. I did this before when my friend ordered me Kingdom Hearts: ReCoM and I bought him a copy as a gift. I then bought a copy for myself from Cicuit City (during liquidation) for cheap. I didnt know he got me one, but I ended up returning one with my receipt and another with a gift receipt.

it's quite funny that all you really need is an invoice, which really won't have the art book listed. just print your receipt online. this is nowhere near to a sucker who thinks they can keep a b2g1f. hell, gamestop has yet to stop gift keepers from local chain. In fact, most gift keepers are the employees themselves.
