Nah son. I always used custom happ sticks. I'm American. fuck that Jap shit. Disregard them imports and get you AMERICAN MADE HAPP. If you're HAPP Y and you know it clap your hands bro.
I grew up with happ sticks at american arcades, but i tend to play better on japanese sticks, on happ parts i had problems with doing moves from the right side of the screen, on jap i can do the same stuff both sides.

For shame. How dare you abandon that American way of life for that Jap shit? You need to fall back and get yo stick on proper.

It's no longer going to be about Sanwa, Seimitsu or Happ. It's going to be all Germang/Taiwanese.

I can vouch for Cherry MX Red switches as I have two mechanical keyboards with them. I'm definitely looking forward to these buttons. Either toss in an optical based stick made by Toodles and you got the quietest setup, or you can toss in a Seimitsu LS-40 for the most sensitive setup.
Gave in and bought a Vita. Only games I'll play on it is Uncharted and Resistance. Might get some fighters and play them while in the shit house.
Good going man. You made a great decision. Choice excellent.

trade it in for a seven layer buritto at taco bell.
So, do alot of people play Soul Calibur 5 anymore online or should i trade it?
I doubt anyone plays it in this thread but its still very active online.

I still have it and I've played it maybe 3-4 times total.
I also purchased it, played it 3 times and never played it again. Just no damn time.
I haven't been gaming much lately and haven't been in the mood for it for some reason. I played a game like 2 nights out of the past 2 weeks for maybe a whole 40 mins each.

Here's how Paco's advice works on keeping and getting rid of fighters.

Some random guy: Should I keep Tekken 6, SCIV and UMVC3?

Paco's reply: No they all suck. Get rid of them asap and buy some taco's.

Some random guy: I think I'll get rid of KOFXIII

Paco's reply: No don't do it! Its the best fucking fighter of all time!

Now Paco's advice on netcode.

Me: How's the netcode to KOFXII?

Paco: Its decent.

*long time ago but that's what he said.*

Persona 4 Arena, even just mashing out, is extremely fun. I generally hate aksys games, but this one feels a lot better then BB/GG for me, fast and not floaty. Consider me interested at picking up the ps3 NA release.

Tekken? Only Hank wants Tekken. Soul Calibur? Series went down the shitter after the glorious first one. Marvel? Only ADD riddled bums play that. I traded all those games and got my a crunchy eight layer buritto. It touched the cosmos and delivered the heavenly flavor of toilet induced fart torpedo that I used to play Mortal Kombat on the Vita.

KOF 13 was the hypest game at E3 this year had nearly 100,000 monsters watching. Street Fighter 4 was boring yet again with predictable results, Marvel was a bunch of mangs bashing buttons. Mortal Kombat paid its way in. Blazblue gayed itself out of the tourney scene with shut in anime nerds who will never seek human contact, but that's aight because the netcode is totally tits.

Not my fault your internet is stuck in the hood rich wage man. Even at my worst, my internet is still far superior to your internet at it's best. That's how awesome my internet is son. My internet stomps your internet in the ass and gives it the beating of Sri Lanka. My internet is like a black guy taking a white guy's money. That's how tough my internet is.

LOL I knew you would come at me with the internet stuff but all you do is use it for netflix and kofxiii. Anyone can do that. ;)

Plus distgfx has prob the best internet I've ever seen and he said the online to Kofxii was complete ass/unplayable.

His internet shits all over yours. What you gotta say about that? :D

My internet is really good except during the so called peak hours. That's the only times it sucks.

I'm mostly just messing with Paco to be honest.

Speedtest keeps coming back at 5.30mb right now.

I really think my internet trolls me because after I called and getting ready to switch its way better than it usually is of the night.

I know its people in my area on it that makes it get unstable but now I'm starting to think when it acts different its just a few people cause all of a sudden I can tell a big difference.

I'm at a lost for words right now. I just played UMVC3 and its the smoothest I've ever seen in my entire life. I called the Cable and told them something must be wrong the internet is awesome today and she told me they updated the lines in my area.

Now I don't know if I should get that dsl or not... I mean really.

I need advice! At like 2am for example the best ping I can get with a ping test was like 38. Now its 20 some all the time and this is during the day! What the hell! *in a good way*

Option if your around and see this. We gotta play some umvc3. You gotta see this shit.

Just my luck they fix the damn cable when I signed up for something else. I can't get over this. I've never ever seen umvc3 play this smooth.

And I'm also on hulu and Awesomenauts. Get your facts straight. Guess you really are lost in them shallows huh?

Your internet is always terrible and terri bad. That's what it is. your speed sucks, your ping sucks, your jitter sucks, your internet name sucks. Hell even your cable box sucks. What the fuck is research and education? Sounds like a crime syndicate to me. My internet box is called Homies. That's the brandz. It's for real $$$$as like me. Who take real internet serially. Can't step up to that can you?

And Option, that's right. More anime bullshit coming your way. More button mashy noob games which take no talent coming at you! When is Aksys going to go away and give people what they want? Guilty Gear without flash animation?

Only thing you got is speed. My ping is still around yours. Ping is what matters in games anyway. Besides that you play fucking kofxiii so you don't know shit anyway.

I don't care about speed. If I had 1mb and games don't lag I wouldn't care. That's all I want and now I finally got that but I don't know how to cancel that dsl I ordered without having issues >_
I know a hell of a lot more about how online infastructure works then you do. I have a far better idea of how ping affects latency and how the data size works when transferring data. Not only do I have a better understanding of how networks work, but how fighting games themselves work. You have no idea how a fighting game actually plays rather then mashing buttons. But the truth of the matter is, is that most people will see it smooth on screen and say GEE BOY HOWDY DAT ONLINE PLAY IS GRATE! NO LAG WHAT SO EVER! It's when you get into the more hardcore that they say that the online in Street Fighter and Marvel suck ass. And they're right. A lot of one frame links are impossible to do online with any sort of consistency. You will never reach that level of play where you get a muscle memory to the point where you can land one frame links without thinking about it. You don't have the manual dexterity to properly do a long sequence of moves either. Most people don't. That's the reason Blazblue/Arcana Heart and the doujin fighters look so difficult. They aren't. With moves that cancel into moves that skip frames and have very lenient buffers for moves that allow compensation for internet latency and for the amount of jitter that comes with internet games. Oh no, lets forget all about that these doujin games were made with online in mind and lets go back to saying

KOF sucks online.

EVERY fighting game sucks online. It's impossible to replicate offline gameplay and there will always be lag. No matter how fucking good your internet is, there will always be lag, however your super shitty internet will make that lag worse. It's not as bad as cheapest gamer's internet but your internet is still on the bottom rung of American internet.

You have very little understanding of how fighting games work. Let us regale you with tales of when I got in a knife fight over a tick throw in street fighter 2.
you ain't even listening at all........ They fixed my internet today it isn't shitty. You should have seen umvc3. I've never ever seen it that smooth before. I doubt your experience would be any better is what I'm getting at.

The reason I noticed a difference right off is the ping test. Usually its around 40-60ms when my net is alright but today its 20-30ms and hasn't gone over that yet.

you just can't let me be happy for once can you? I know there's always some form of lag its the internet.

Ain't ain't even a word you crackly ass mutha fucka.

And I'm not saying don't be happy. I'm saying give it a few days before you start celebrating. I'd say keep that DSL installation and use the Cable for a week or two before you spank for joy and cancel the DSL again.

I thought of that. It might be better for a while and go back to its usual self.

Only thing bad about the DSL is you have to sign a one year contract and if you cancel before that its some crazy fee.

When I saw Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3 so smooth I was in shock and pissed at the same time that my cable wasn't like this before. Of the night and during the day it was smooth but never ever this smooth.

It was really smooth with Option IV a few times but even this is way better. That's why I couldn't get over it but your right. It could be awesome now and get shitty of the night. Its hard to say.

I thought about calling the DSL company and asking if they could do it sometime next week. I could test the cable over the weekend and go by what it does then. Its the worst on Sunday night.

I find the ping really good I'm getting to CA now. The best its ever got before was 109ms. That's the best. Now it keeps getting 83ms over and over.

UMVC3 makes a hella difference. Uncharted 3 doesn't make much difference. I'm wanting to see how MW3 is but the server is down at the moment.

So... Option should I just keep the Cable or get DSL anyway?

Well its 9:18 pm and guess what! The cable is shit now after it was so awesome today. I'm getting that dsl for sure.

Instead of all of the ping/speedtest. I took my ps3 over to a friends house that has the dsl service I was getting. I played it over a hour and it was great.

It seems to stay stable unless its got a different set of peak hours.

Really cable? After you was the shit today. You turned back to shit tonight. fuck this service. Bring on dat dsl. I really got excited and thought the cable was better. I should have known better and Paco was right. Wait and see what happens later. The girl at the cable office might have been full of shit and during the day today maybe the people that was on it wasn't for some reason.

I can tell the woman lied to me today btw. She said I was the only one that has complained about the service lately and I thought... Is this the same woman that admitted she gets cussed out daily.

You can make fun of my shit internet again, Paco. I admit it was a fluke today but I'm kind of glad it did this cause it made the choice of sticking to dsl easier.

Come to think of it... There was a couple of months ago on a Thursday,Friday the internet was the best it has ever been. I even thought the cable company actually did something but I should have known better.

I doubt the woman at the office knew anything either. They may have checked the lines where it stormed or something of that sort.

They prob jumped out of there truck and was like Yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup its still there! Our work here is done!

Is it true what they say about dsl, paco? Where there's no neighborhood sharing? I highly doubt it for some reason. Seems like some internet services are better in some areas than others and it is hit or miss.

There's one guy that lives in a different town with the same cable company I have and he never has issues like I do but like I said I could name around 50 people with cable internet that lives within a mile of me. To many on the grind and the company is to cheap/lazy to upgrade it. I doubt they get there fiber optic going for another 2 years. They claim another year now but as slow as they are I highly doubt it. Knowing the company besides that when they get the fiber optic they will do it wrong and it will still get unstable.

The woman at the cable company must forget what she tells certain people. First time I mentioned the internet getting unstable she claimed she never heard anything about that. Then the next time she admitted she gets cussed out on a daily basic. Then today she was trying to cover up for the company and blame me. She said you seem to be the only one with problems with it anymore. It was really hard not to just cuss her out and tell her about the people I know that says it sucks and has the same issues. I was nice and didn't reply to that statement.

Either way I think they just tell you whatever to get rid of you and hope you don't notice or don't mention it anymore.

Its like oh... Your internet sucks? Well we can't do anything about that. That will be 50 bucks a month. Where's our money? Your late with payment!

My internet today was like someone with comcast then tonight it turned into cheapest's internet.

The best way to describe the cable is when its lagging its like someone is on your pc doing something causing you lag but instead of someone in your house just by what other people are doing on there pc in the same area. It makes it get completely unstable.

I know better than having something downloading/uploading while playing a game. Even the cable company asked me that and my reply was. I hooked my ps3 straight up to the modem and nothing else is running. They was like oh... Well have you tightened the cable lines... I was like yes.... There as tight as they can go... Then they was like have you done the speedtest. I was like yes... and then told them the results. Then there like well we can come check your line and I think it has nothing to do with the line if it was the line it would always be horrible. I let them check anyway though and they said it was fine. Then I called back again and they was like well there's nothing we can do about it. It must be where to many people are on it. She was like people browse the net and kids do there homework. I thought if that was the case it wouldn't get this bad.

I think Option is right. I had better results on pingtest with my cable internet than the dsl internet but then I played online at a friends house on his dsl and it was better than the cable.

That makes no sense to me.

It looks like it might storm. I assume if it does the guy won't come. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DON'T STORM TODAY!

I'm sitting here waiting on the dsl man... They told me anywhere from 1-5pm.

Last time I tired to get the service they told me 8am-5pm and they never showed up or called or nothing.

The main difference I noticed was. The cable in umvc3 seemed to play faster but had spikes. It don't always have spikes but it did yesterday. With the dsl it played a tad slower and there wasn't a single spike.

jman is one annoyed white fat man. It got later and later so I decided to call the DSL company. They said it was going to be hooked up on the 2nd. I said no it isn't... They told me Friday between 1-5pm. Its happened before with them. I tried to get there service once before waited all day and they never showed up.

I wasn't very nice to the guy on the phone. I said I waited all day on the service and mentioned how I tired to get it several months before and the same exact thing happened. I said to be quite honest I want to tell you all to forget it and cancel right now. He paused a bit and was like I'm very sorry this happened. If you wait till the 2nd we will install it for free instead of you paying the installation cost. I was like hmmm.... Alright that sounds great to me but make a note of this if they don't come that day I give up and want it canceled before I even start it. He then said he didn't blame me and he would do the same. He said he would give them 3 chances and after that even he would give up. So third strike your out. One more chance.

At least I kept my cable. Last time I got service for them I canceled the cable and was without it for 5-6 days. It has been awesome during the day but its not any good of the night.

What I saw of the DSL service I can tell its better overall is the only reason I'm willing to give them another shot. If my cable didn't act up I would just keep it and forget the DSL.
Is the online near death in KOFXIII? Every time I try to play it anymore it takes forever to get a game. That's one reason I usually play UMVC3 instead.
Yup. KOF 13 is mainly an offline game. Or you have to be on at certain times to get games.

I figured out something today and Option is right. Ping matters to a certain degree but what makes you lag is how stable your internet is.

My pingtest results was pretty terrible and yet UMVC3 wasn't lagging.

My internet isn't but 5mb and on Speedtest it was getting around 2mb-3mb yet UMVC3 still wasn't lagging but then I noticed all of a sudden it had spikes. I caught the speedtest when it got at its worse. It read 0.3mb. Yes, 0.3mb.

So that's what I assume its doing even if it drops to 2-3mb it isn't going to cause much of a issue but for a example if its reading 4mb for example and it suddenly drops to 0.5 even for a second its going to give spikes.

That's really lame on the cable's part. Where there's so many people in the area its like they leave me with nothing at certain times. Its mostly of the night when it happens.

Now the DSL service makes more sense to me. The ping on it was higher than the cable in general and yet it played way better than the cable does so I thought that's really weird shouldn't the lower ping be better? Then I noticed with the DSL service when you do a speedtest its always the same speed. Always.

I got to noticing with the cable internet at times its all over the place which sucks and they really should fix that. Its like just because people in your area is using it. There might as well be someone in your house using your internet. Its about the same effect.

I can't get over what the woman told me the last time. She said I seem to be the only one to have any issues with the cable anymore. I wanted to say that might be because everyone in my area is old men/woman that browse the internet only and don't know the difference.

Def that DSL is better. I wish I had got it 2 years ago or whenever it came in. I can't wait to get it. They better come the 2nd. I guess its because I wanted to ditch cable so badly is why they didn't come.

Its funny to me how the cable company seems to blame the users lately instead of there service.

I noticed something else tonight. The cable company is pretty shady to do this. With the speed test somehow when you go to www.speedtest.net instead of doing the regular thing. It is locked to a certain town that is like maybe 20 miles away at most and that is why I couldn't figure out why the speedtest was usually fine and the pingtest was horrible but I figured it out a long time how to get around it and get a true speedtest from the site. Its really sad that they make the speedtest automatically go to something insanely close that is always going to be fine. Its like they don't want anyone to know how bad there service actually is and when you call them out on it they tend to turn it around and make it the fault of the users or they will see all the info from the test and they will say well there's nothing we can do about it.

Honestly all the trouble I've had with the cable and having it for years. I wouldn't get it again when they had fiber optic unless I got to see it in action for several weeks.

That's another reason I never got that KOF96 or whichever one you told me to get off of psn. I knew if KOF 13 was dead online to that would be as well.

I played KOF Sky Stage it wasn't to bad. It was worth the 5 bucks I paid for it.

Is garou still coming to psn? I remember hearing that a long time ago.

The best part of KOF 96 is that for some god forsaken reason, it has far better online than XIII. I thought that KOF 13 would have great netcode because the netcode in 95 and 96 kicks ass. It's like SNK listened to all the complaints on the past neo geo station games then fixed them for the new batch. Unfortunately everyone just disconnects when I kick their ass.

That happens a lot lately. The fighters released on psn by the same company has better netcode than the disc games.

A good example of that is Third Strike compared to most Capcom's retail disc games.

Skullgirls had really good netcode. More fighters should use ggpo and be set up like Skullgirls. Most fighters let you select same region and search by that. In Skullgirls you can set it where you was such as east coast and search for east coast games only. It would be nice if more fighters was set up that way.

Would be nice if Uncharted 3 was region locked. I know it has nothing to do with fighters but the people that play it out of Japan or have Mex in there name. They lag way worse than I ever have before. I was watching a guys cam and I honestly don't see how he played at all. The lag was like he was on dial up. It was like he was moving at 4-5 frames per second the entire match.
Does anyone have spare JLF PCBs that I can buy? ;_;
Just the PCBs, not the full stick.
Im looking for a Seimitsu LS-32-01 myself.

Played UMVC3 with Option IV last night. It didn't play as good as usual but I assume its my internet like always. I notice if we play around 10:30 or so right when it gets to 11pm or a little after its suddenly way smoother. I've noticed that before.

There's one thing I don't understand it don't matter how bad my internet is it always plays better with Option than it does random people and Option lives insanely far away and I'm sure some of the randoms are closer so that isn't the issue.

Either way I can't wait till I get that DSL. I noticed with the DSL when I was at friends house that UMVC3 played a little bit slower than what it does with the cable when the cable is better but I noticed with the dsl it doesn't have lag spikes or slow down suddenly like the cable does. Its solid the whole time. Plus there's was the slower internet speed and I'm getting the faster one. There DSL is just 2.5mb and it did way better than my cable that is 5mb. So it proves my cable is really all over the place. If it stayed up near 5mb it would be alright.
