No, if you log into the phantom account again after it's been phantomed, you will lose your slot forever. Many people have said that phantom is a one time download thing, but most of the time they didn't mention that you could lose it pretty easy (like set remember password, auto-login, and then accidentally log into that acc).

Some questions for you smart folks. I was thinking about phantoming my main, so I logged in to check my account and saw I have two devices active. One is my old PS3, which I got rid of way before knowing I should deactivate it. On the Sony site, I only see an option to deactivate all consoles. No way to do one at a time?
Also, if I deactivate my current PS3, so that a phantom can log in, can I just go back on my PS3 and reactivate it?

There is not a way to remotely deactivate 1 system at a time. You can deactivate your current system by logging in and deactivating it locally. However, there is no way to only deactivate the old system.
Yes, all you need to do is deactivate your current ps3. After the reset, all you need to do is reactivate it.
You can deactivate your current console.
Sell your slot to someone you trust.
Then reset the account and you will have an additional slot available after you reactivate.
The time depends on you & the relationship you have with the buyer. If you want to play on your main, you may not want to allot an exorbitant amount of time for downloading.
If you don't really trust them, you can always reset and reactivate your console prior to selling a slot. Create a temporary password and when they have finished downloading, change the password. That is the safest course of action. Also, make sure you delete your personal details from the account prior to selling a slot. By taking this route you will only be allowed to sell 1 slot instead of 2.

Just wanted to share this with you guys, Tales of Xilia is a really great game. Loving it so far. Reminds me of Star Ocean: The last hope on ps2, which is my favorite game of all time.
Initially, I thought Dragon's Crown would be better, even though they are note exactly the same type of game. But Xilia is hands down the better game IMO Anyway, loving this gamesharing thing also, wish i had discovered it earlier !!!
Oh, and also Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow
