You gotta be joking? If he can get a resell, he can get it. It's not about being fair if he really wants the game. You could easily take him off if he ends up getting it first. That's just dumb.

It took me a while, felt like 40-50 hours.
 
 
First you should do all of Kobin's missions, then whatever mp trophies you can do by yourself in objective types. You should get enough money to upgrade Sam a little bit, just focus on upgrading your stealth for the first few campaign missions.
 
You want to also save up for the black market sniper rifle and the crossbow. You get black market weapons by upgrading the ship to allow access to the black market. Once you have that you don't need anything else. The only other weapon you should bother with is the pistol that costs 22k.
 
The crossbow is ridiculously OP, if you max it out you get something like 15 gas darts and 15 sticky shockers. They one hit take down any enemy that's not heavily armored, and gas grenades have an area of effect. For those big guys, you have two options. 1) Flashbang them and walk up to them and take them down. 2) If you have armor piercing on your sniper, and a mark and execute available, you want to mark them, then hit them in the head manually to knock their helmet off, then execute.
 
If you're going for the platinum, it's easier to get the mastery emblems on rookie difficulty. Wait until your stealth is fully upgraded to bother with ghost or panther, and wait til your armor is fully upgraded before you bother with assault.
 
Honestly professional difficulty was really easy once you're fully upgraded. you don't have to go for pro + no kills in the same run, but it's easy to do so with the crossbow's sticky shocker and gas darts. there are a lot of shadows. I had absolutely no trouble getting pro + no kills done on all the levels in the same run with the crossbow fully upgraded.
