CAG PSN Gamesharing #7 - Find/Create a Gameshare Group and Gameshare FAQ

Yanksfan has 334 CAG members documented in his feedback sheet, and it's only been around since late September 2013. Maybe Raiborg has a point if that many are gamesharing on CAG, but not participating in the thread. That's an absurd ratio.

Batman Arkham Origins: Initiation - $7

$3.49

1. Trophy DLC (host)

$1.17

That spike may have been due to GTA 5 releasing that month. I know I started to actively follow thread #6 at that time and now #7, but still don't really participate in discussion much as that's just a reflection of me IRL. It's just a disservice to me whenever I see library sharing mentioned or free stuff giveaways, but know really not to ask since I'm still pretty new/inactive. *runs back to hiding spot*

*Ah hem* I have a question.. Isn't gamesharing on the Vita basically like a locked phantom on the PS4?

I believe we should have a sticky for general PS3-gaming discussion, as that would avoid the continuous off-topic that sometimes happens here(I'm fine with 1 or 2 posts per page, but full pages of off-topic can be annoying) :)

Also, I'm looking for:

Deadpool phantom or resell

Any turn-based RPG/JRPG

Assassins Creed IV

Best to let the sleeping dog lie my friend. For the most part a general consensus was reached on this matter. I'm sure it would be re-visited should the need arise in the future.

Looking to buy/trade combo for a GTAV resell

Resells:
Jak and Daxter HD Collection - $2
SpongeBob SquarePants: Plankton's Robotic Revenge - $4
BattleField 4 (PS3) - $8

Looking for the Grid 2 dlc. Please pm me. I may be fairly new to the site but I know my way around gamesharing. $25 is ridiculous for that dlc.

EDIT: Please disregard. I've found someone to split.

Appreciate the reference Elite.

Were any of you guys looking for the Aveline DLC for Black Flag on PS4? I remember someone messaged me asking about it but I don't know if it was from this thread of the PSN Code trade thread.

Apparently I deleted the message.

Moved into the new place and after 2 days I ended up not liking it, supposed to get a partial refund within the next few days. Dirty cheap motel room.

Which brings me to gamesharing so I don't get reported (guess that happened while I had no internet).

When I get some of my money back I'll be looking for Resident Evil 6, throw me a price in the thread or through pm.

:ps4: Tomb Raider Definitive Ed. no change in trophies

Disappointing to be honest but not surprised.

I want to play Tomb Raider again because the graphics will be ten times better. I thought the PS3 version looked like shit. With 1080p graphics and more horsepower, this version will be just as good as a high-end PC copy of the game. Still, a couple of difficulty trophies would be nice. Just gonna play it on Easy this time and attempt a Platinum.

RE6 up for rent in the library, GTA V also up for rental again

Do note the time limits on the games + requirement of donation to borrow them

With the library, if I wanted to borrow RE6, I can donate a game. What if I want to borrow GTA V next, do I have to do ate another game, or is my active donation still counted?

one donation counts forever, but it has to be a somewhat worthwhile game that people are going to want to borrow (no crap arcade games), especially for gta

pretty soon i'm going to wipe any users from the library that haven't donated anything, so if you plan on using it it's in your best interests to get those donations in. it's a community effort, too many leechers is bad. after i do that i'll find a way to get some new users in there who are willing to donate and can be vouched for on top of my own personal approval

This way we won't have to worry about who donated and who didn't. The only people that will be in the library are people who have donated.

I used to be in the library a long time ago (unless this is a new one) didn't know if I was still on the list or not but kind of curious. I would be down to donate some games.

Can someone explain to me what the library is all about? Like, I donate a game and then I get acess to donated games(I presume one at a time) and I can swap games after I beat a game?

I've been planning to donate a game or maybe two after I complete them, this sounds like a good oportunity to do so :p

Basically yeah. You would need a vet to vouch for you though since you are somewhat new

I want this new library to be about quality over quantity though. Old one was full of a lot of games/dlc nobody wanted. I think a lot of regulars would have good use for the library but just forget about it or whatever because nothing new is added. The idea of having to donate to rent would help that a little bit (hopefully). I'm also tossing around the idea of the top donators getting first shot at new additions

Also, I know a few regulars are sitting on a lot of resells, so again I'm offering the option to time swap some of my resells that I don't want to donate for good just yet. If you want to know what I have, pm me.

While I appreciate what you have done with the new hosting of the library Pravado, I really dislike how you are setting up all these new rules without discussing it with any of the existing members.  If you want to require a donation for one of your rentals that is your business, but telling people (esp vets who have been here far longer) that you are going to be booting them if they don't donate, that isn't right.

Requiring people to put 'new' games in there isn't so great either.  I know you are one of those people who blows through a game in a few days and anything older than a month to you is ancient, but there is something to be said for older shares.  Some people still want older games to play.

And so no one gets their panties in a bunch, I am still looking for an account with Infamous 1 and 2 for just .02

I still have the RE6 resell you sent me a while back; lemme know when to deactivate it.

I appreciate the concern, but this is how I want to run it. I do not think it's fair to let someone borrow a game like GTA V if they've only donated something like a single DLC for a 7-8 year old game. If you don't give people a reason to donate, donations will be minimal. I'm not forcing anyone to participate. This is a program that is going to be based on give and take, not just take.

I just don't think it's fair for people to leech off of a gameshare library and not donate, regardless of vet status. I spent hours coding the site that it's hosted on now, and therefore the rules are mine to adjust. Existing users can send me their input, and I will take it into consideration, but that doesn't guarantee anything will change.

I'm also not saying you can only donate games from the past year or two. I'm just saying the games have to be quality games people would want to play, not games that are going to sit there unrented for months. Old games like dead rising 2 or enslaved are more than welcome. Someone can always create another off-site library to invite people to if they're not satisfied with this new rule, but i'm sticking to my guns on this one. I hope none of that sounded rude, I can kind of see how someone would take it that way but don't. Since I posted that last post I got a few people wanting to donate some pretty legit games.
