I'm starting to think I should have never made this public. Enough with this crap. It is still a community effort. This is the last time I'm addressing library complaints publicly, as I realize constantly arguing this makes me look bad too. Gloves are coming off

The people in the library have donated games that would cost anyone a few bucks to the cost of a resell of a ps4 game to get their hands on nowadays, it's simply not fair to let someone in who is going to donate a game collecting dust ever since they found out can't sell for even a dollar anymore since everyone has it already. Allowing that to happen skews the balance of fairness for the people who are constantly putting in new games/AAA titles that still cost a lot. They expect people to donate games they do not have already too. Joining this is a privilege, not a right just because you are part of the community and I do not feel the need to bend these rules to appease to a few people who are seemingly too cheap to just buy a resell of another game to donate and play by the rules. PS+ games are welcome for donation, will not grant entry. That is not changing and whining about it will not change it, especially when the only people who are complaining are not even part of the library in the first place. Not a single person that is in the library is spilling tears over not being able to rent a game they got for free months ago (they are probably too busy being balls deep in our collection of great games). If I change this rule, we get a library full of ps+/cheap games everyone has, good donations stop rolling in as much, (because why donate a good game for entry when you can sell it and just donate a ps+/cheap game instead? You can argue we have to have faith people will still donate good games but historically with the last library that never happened outside of a few generous cases), and changing this rule only really benefits the people who want to gain quick entry, not the community at large

You guys keep posing me as this dictator when that's not how it is in the slightest. I have donated my fair share of games to the library but it is definitely a community effort. Without people's donations it would obviously cease to exist. You keep complaining about things not being community run, and I'm going to argue back with we have not had a single complaint from any library members. If you think "library" is the wrong term, maybe I should change the name to "Pravado's fuckhouse of Authority: Enter at Your Own Risk."And FYI, free hosting doesn't allow for private boards requiring registration and approval, and the only themes you can use are awful. Can not believe I was called out for lying about hosting fees. *smh*

It's not very often that I get that angry at posts on CAG, so forgive me for showing rare form here. I'm not going to sit by and have the time and effort I put into this project insulted by people who are not even a part of it. Putting together and maintaining a private forum is not easy peasy.

Trial codes - 7days/1month- doesn't work on accounts that had Plus subscription on it. The contrary works, you can renew Plus in a acc you used a trial code.

I've suspected for a while now @pravado might be afflicted with some mild a form of Asperger's, and this only confirms it. I have been plenty respectful and gracious when addressing him, and it’s only been met with hostility and videos of half naked men.
 
It’s not his intentions I disagree with, just some of the methods. I am grateful for his efforts, but that does not give him (or anyone) carte blanche to run it however they see fit. Two people have privately messaged me, and three (including me) have said something in the thread. That’s a total of 5, @pravado, in case you were having trouble. Clearly, not everyone agrees.

Just someone, besides the petulant child, clarify how the library should work. I truly don’t have ulterior motives, and am prepared to make sizable and consistent donations without any desire to rent anything for myself. LOL, I barely have time to play the games I fucking own. I don’t get where the abrasiveness is coming from when all that I ask is that donations of any kind be accepted. And, then, if you want to have rules about who can rent, be clear and upfront. Not all this secretive and arbitrary nonsense about “collecting dust". I cannot believe he’s losing his shit over this. It’s fucking weird.

Not sure if I got lucky but I was able to get my 30 trial code that came with my PS4 to work when I loaded the code through the PS Store. It asked for my credit card information and automatically set it to auto renewal. Turned it off and got an email that my subscription ends in 2016 (Already redeemed a 1 year plus during BF Sale)

I've seen multiple reports that Outlast will be available for free for plus on release.

Nothing like spending 5 hours trying to get Phantasy Star 2 Online to work on your PC. Most of the time was spent trying to figure out the Japanese characters for the image security thing. Download/Install took over 2 hours and just found out that the servers are down for maintenance.

Phantasy Star 2 Online is free and I believe has a English patch has been released. Going to check it out once servers are back.

yeah i tried a 30 day (not sure if it was a trial or not) and either it was expired or just wouldn't work

damn. it sucks having to pay $5 for a month of plus to get a $5 discount on a single game i want this week.

I think that you'll find most veterans are not willing to openly argue due to the recent attention that has been brought to this thread, I encourage you to disagree in private with people and show your disinterest by not participating with what he has going on. Continuing to argue after your initial post of dislike (everyone is entitled to state their opinions!) isn't doing anyone any favors.

I will say that some of the rules of the library are a bit harsh/strict. Its awesome for Prav to take charge of the library and I'm sure we're all thankful - but some of the rules seem very strict

Also, some of the comments about the library could of been taken better ( for example the website says hosting is free, but I'm sure no one is/was aware that adding a custom theme, or whatever else was added to the site would actually cost a fee )

I did PM him a few days ago before saying anything in the thread. I left it alone, but then every so often he makes those asinine posts about what he will or will not accept for the library. I finally spoke up yesterday (very politely), and he (very rudely) told me my opinion didn't matter. Hell, he made an even ruder post this morning and I ignored it. Then there's another one this evening, and yet you're telling me to keep it to myself? Ok. You say to just not "participate in what he has going on" as if it belongs to him, lol. Whatever. I'll drop it, but it's a damn shame you guys are allowing one person to bully the thread around.
