So you want us to look at your PSNprofile and find an easy game you don't have, and then analyze it to decide if it's between 12-15 hours...and make sure it also has a plat? :rofl:

EA UFC is up for pre-order. Its coming out on PS4 only.

Wolfenstein is comin out at 12:01 am est. 5/20 ($54 ps plus)

Watchdogs is comin out at 12:01 am est. 5/27

Playing a crap game just so I can get some easy trophies, nah man I did that mistake once or twice not going to do that shit again. Honestly if I see someone on my friend list who have played hannah montana I will delete them. They are not true gamers, just some cheap trophy whores. Sorry if I offended anyone, I like trophies too but not on that point that when I see someone selling a game I will go immediately checking for a trophy guide and if it's an easy plat I am going to get that no matter if I don't know if it's a shitty game or even without knowing how the game plays.

I envy guys like Snakeybro or Yanksfan who don't care about trophies at all. I wish I was like them. Those are the guys I call true gamers.

A small rant about trophy whoring

I'm like you, I play what I want and try to get as many trophies as I can. It's not that I don't think trophy whores aren't gamers, because by definition they are. I just think their motivation is a false belief that people care about other people's trophies and will think they're "hardcore" for having a high trophy level. Trophy whores will tell themselves "that's not true I do it for myself" but realistically there is 0 reason to do it other than bragging rights. You wouldn't spend 5-10 hours on a bad game "to bring yourself entertainment."

Those bragging rights are non-existent to hardcore gamers, only existent to other trophy whores, and at that point you're just trying to impress people who will be impressed by seeing an arbitrary number increase and nothing more, it has nothing to do with gaming at that point. Xbox has already ruined the system by giving achievements for apps. I'm more impressed with quality completions than a high trophy level myself.

I have some friends who are scared to stop whoring/switch platforms even though they want to because they feel they put too much time into it and it'd be a waste to drop it at this point, and I pity them. Those same people have reached the point of essentially paying for trophies, and at that point I think it's time to retire because you're just going to lose a lot of (time and) money and gain virtually nothing in return but a pat on the back from a guy who will forget about it within an hour. Don't even get me started on leaderboard chasers who have unrealistic goals to crack the top 50 when they're not even in the top 500...

That being said, I don't have some vendetta against trophy whores. If they want to do it and it makes them happy than go for it, but I'm still going to judge them. But it's not something that's going to affect my friendship with a person

Trophies simply add replay value to a game. People who don't care about trophies aren't necessarily "more hardcore" just as people who do care aren't necessarily "more hardcore." I think it's the accomplishments within the games themselves that determine who is hardcore and who is not, or even hours spent playing games each week

I'll say this -

I dont get the point of trophies unless theres some reward for them.  Like using them to buy stuff.  That would create such an incentive for people to play a ton of games.  I don't get why Sony doesnt have a redemption thing - like turning in a certain # of points (trophy value) for a $5 PSN card, etc.

First of all, there is a huge difference between a trophy hunter and a trophy whore, don't try to blur that line to fit an argument.

You completely avoided/missed my point, put words in my mouth, and flat out ignored other things I said, and to top it off defended your stance with the exact stance I attributed to denial in the first place, thus continuing to prove my point.

I shall argue no further for the sake of the thread, but it's idiotic posts like this that make me dislike people, not trophy whoring.

How's Y's Memories of Celceta? Bought already a bunch of Vita games on my main.

Wanting to know if the $19 price tag is worth it for this Action RPG game.

Have seen various YT gameplay vids of it, but they weren't all that good.

Anybody got experience playing it?

I have rented it from Gamefly before, but wasn't able to play it cause I lost my 32gb Vita memory card and had to send it back quick.

So here I am, not mad at all, and still backing the same feelings that I was before regarding trophy whoring. I fail to see how that's effectively taking a stand that has a purpose. All you did was derail the thread further, ironically something you said you hate
