As much as I loved Mafia 3, and really behind all the flaws is a great story and good game, there really is nothing to do after you finish it. Wish I would have bought it in a new account rather than my main..

I was so tempted to buy it but nobody said enough good things to make me want it so i passed. Now i'm trying to decide on battlefield. call of duty is an emphatic no this year.

Based on what people are saying from the Early Access thing the campaign might be extremely short, so I'd say only get it if you liked the beta/like Battlefield Online in general

 
I've never expected much from a Battlefield campaign, but it shines in multiplayer. I cannot wait for BF1 myself... beta was fantastic fun!

COD always had a more enjoyable campaign, except for the that crap they gave us in Advanced Warfare. Terrible, terrible, terrible.

I'm beyond sick of everything going multiplayer. I like campaign modes, a game I can play on my own. I just can't get into multiplayer games for any length of time. Dammit!

Same. Used to play all Call of Duty (Battlefield too) multiplayers up until BO1, nonstop. Nowadays, I only play for the campaign. I think because of gamesharing, my attention span for games became thin and I can't spend too much time on just one game.

Ugh. Sony PR just sent me 18 PSVR game codes... I was already planning to bring my unit back to the store for a refund. Not seeing the value from what I've read/watched online through YouTube and reddit. Now I'm on the fence.... Rex... Batman... RIGS...

I can't speak for the length but I know people who used EA access only got two campaigns out of the handful they are giving so it's not the full experience. I also heard he campaign is really well done and emotional and exciting in its presentation. I love BF multiplayer and have it preordered so nonetheless I will be happy but with that news I'm actually excited to play the campaign as well. COD for me is a hard no this year in agreement with you here.

I liked the first one. If you like the stories and like point and click puzzles with a sherlock flair you should dig it. I think you could find a share of the first one to get a taste.

What QDizzle said... I write reviews on a small site with a friend or two. We don't make any real cash but the free games are nice, and I enjoy writing. And it seems Sony is being very generous to get the software out there.. I just hope the quality software keeps coming.

I expect next year we'll see PS Move Pro and PS Eye HD... Assuming the vr is designed in a sense that they can upgrade the accompanying hardware to improve the overall experience.

The first one was OK, you kinda have to like games where the main purpose is to explore, find clues, talk to people and use your brain to figure out what happened.

 
This is probably going to be a longshot but does anyone have a rental of The Bunker? Was a real fan of FMV games back in the day (Phantasmagoria FTFW!) and would like to give this a shot.

 
Well, kept reading on reddit and Twitter... Decided to give PSVR a shot. Only played Rez so far but it's bloody incredible in VR mode. Playable without the VR too, if anyone just wants Rez on their PS4.

Yeah, watched the trailer on PS, thankfully it's one of the codes Sony sent... in queue to download overnight with most of the other titles. Long day tomorrow, playing games, taking notes.

This game in the flash sale is awesome in case you weren't aware - called John Denver's Lone Wolf, at around $6.50 this is such a bargain. The game is different, there is reading but.. more like you are the narrator, and you literally choose your own path, skills and choices in-game. There is a sort of old school final fantasy combat simulation, and like Hand of Fate - the game has a very heavy Dungeons and Dragons feel to it. If you enjoy reading combined with heavy RPG elements, definitely don't miss this one.

I actually purchased the iOS version awhile back, played for maybe 10 minutes and completely forgot about the game... but I actually liked the game which is why I recognized it. I can't tell you if the content is different or not, but if you liked the iOS version, now you can play on the big screen with trophies inc a plat, not a bad incentive.

I agree with some of the mafia 3 reviews. The game isn't bad and I really haven't run into any annoying or ridiculous bugs. I have however, grown completely tired of doing the same thing over and over again. There really is 0 variety in the game. Such a shame too, because the opening couple of hours are very solid but then you realize that every single district follows the exact same pattern and after that the game becomes a huge boring grind.
