You'll have to search for the league in the game and send a join request though, as they only let me send invitations when the league is created.

You're damn right we are! Honestly, the biggest reason I want people to be active in this thread is because I don't have the power to allow somebody to just play the CPU if a person doesn't feel like scheduling their games.

The only thing I can really do is temporarily boot that person (which can't even be done from the iOS app, we discovered). So, basically, anybody who becomes a problem and needs to be booted, you may get a couple strikes, but eventually, you just won't be allowed back. And that goes for everyone.

If everybody thinks the deal is even enough, go ahead and put it through. I know Alan brought up Statsny's cap hit, but it looks like the two players he'd be getting back total up to about the same anyway.

Well, if you don't take the offer, the CPU is likely to just offer it to someone else...possibly even another CPU team. Because of that, I don't see the sense in disallowing trades with CPU teams. It kind of seems like a "win now" trade to me. Iginla is getting up there, and he only has one year left on a pretty expensive contract. But if you need another weapon, it's definitely not a bad option.

I just got the game two days ago and was referred to this site by a friend. I usually get the nhl games on ps3 but this year decided with the 360.

Other than the days I work I am pretty much available to play a game or two so I shouldn't have a problem to make it.

Ummm... You may have to wait a few days. I just knocked him out for 3 games with an ankle injury (although oddly enough he still played despite the game saying it is an "Unplayable Injury"). I also knocked out Tanguay for 10 games with an arm injury.

I didn't realize that Sean Payton had gone to Montreal to coach.

I just had a rough game against the Calgary. Ended up winning 1-0 in the shootout, but Kiprusoff can now be added to my list of goalies with Quick. I out shot them 34-13 in regulation and 7-0 in OT. In OT I was also shorthanded for 2 minutes. I also managed to knock Bouwmeester out of OT 30 seconds in after putting him through the glass.

For this week of games, I have Edmonton, Philly, Yotes, Nucks, and I think the Ducks. It looked like Edmonton had his set to sim, but I wanted to double check with him before I play it.

See what I mean about this MTL guy he will stop at nothing to get the cup.;)

No worries though, if I accept the trade I won't acquire him till the next schedule advance so "2 weeks" I'm sure he'll be ready to go unless he takes another knock before then.

I know I can be cap compliant next schedule advance when he actually joins my team but I don't want to become compliant right now when I don't have his services and I will have games to play with my current roster.

Calgary trade seems kinda odd, but not absolutely unfair Imo, really depends on who they end up drafting with that pick. Iginla is just getting up there in age, so despite being their captain, and like Statnut said, they are cashing out on him now
 
Anyone that needs to play St. Louis just send me a message on live. I will be able to play around 10 or 10:30 a.m. CST and most of the day. If I'm not on I tend to check my phone about every half hour to hour.
 
Just sent out pms to the 6 teams I'm playing, and looks like twick87 and I have two games this schedule block. I think the best way to handle that is back to back if schedules allow so let me know.

Nate, if you want to add it to the OP, my availability is generally 3 P.M. Pacific and later. Weekends and some weekdays, I can play earlier. I prefer to schedule games in advance.
 
This game drives me nuts sometimes. Had a one goal lead with a minute left in the third and Columbus take a shot that gets blocked it bounces right to another Jacket and he shoots it off a teammates knee which then bounces off a d-man's ass and into the top corner. Then after all the skill players get robbed on crazy dekes in the shootout, a guy close to 10 round in walks in shoots straight at Fleury and beats him with it.

Phoenix was the first owner to get back to me, so I'm playing him at 7 P.M Eastern. I still can get on at 6 P.M. Eastern for at least 1 game, 2 if time permits, before playing Phoenix.

Yes, I did. I'm on very randomly and it is hard to schedule so I didn't want to hold anyone back. I will have all my weeks on cpu play. If I catch one of my opponents on I will prefer to play the game. I cant see it being much of an issue, but I did want to have all sides covered.

Well, I'm most likely going to have to hand off commissioner duties to someone else, because I'm moving this weekend...and likely won't have internet again until Monday/Tuesday. But the general idea is that the deadline day, you have THROUGH that day to complete your games. So, the schedule should be advanced either Saturday night or Sunday morning.

Having said that, Phoenix, Colorado, San Jose, or Winnipeg, if you can play in the next 2-3 hours, that would be great. I'll probably have a little bit of time to play tomorrow, but after that, I'll likely have to put myself on auto pilot. I'm online now, but I'm going to grab something to eat. If you don't get my attention on XBL, just PM me on here and I'll switch back over to my Xbox.

Crazy game in Colorado, but I was able to get my revenge for the thumping Alan gave me last week, lol. Things did not start out well, as I realized Chris Mason was starting in net. When I looked to see where the hell Pekka Rinne was, I discovered that apparently he got injured in one of my two simmed games from the last set of games (seriously...fuck you EA. I hate you more than cancer, lupis, or diabetes).

Things looked bleak when the Avs took a 2-0 lead in the 2nd. But luckily, I was able to answer right back to make it 2-1. The Preds reeled off 2 more goals in the 3rd, to take a 3-2 lead with about 4:00 left to play. Colorado upped the pressure, and with less than a minute remaining, they knotted the game at 3. Into OT we went, where no one could find the back of the net.

Shootout time...and time to play goalie...ugh. I thought for sure I'd lose here as Alan has more goalie experience than I do. But somehow, I pulled out the win. Fortunately, Rinne is out only 2 days with an injured back (hope that doesn't lead to bigger problems, lol). Great game though, Alan. Your defense was suffocating as usual. I'm surprised I got the two chances in front of the net that I did.
 
I want to move C D.Powe (74 overall, 27 yrs old, 1.065m, 2 YR) not looking for anything fancy for him

and

D R.Suter (88 overall, 27 yrs old, 7.540m, 13 YR) would like to see 2 players coming back for him at least 1 capable D man pref. 2 though.

Ah, I wish you had posted this like 30 minutes ago. I just played the CPU Blackhawks...and lost 3-1 thanks to Chris Mason just giving up short side wrist shots for no apparent reason. I'm really dreading playing another game without Rinne. Really awesome how in the very first game I miss though, I lose my goalie to injury. Gee, EA...ya think that's why forcing an 82 game season on people wasn't a great idea? :derp:

Definitely a tight game up to the last half of the third despite being a 2-0 game up to that point. Im 90% sure Varly gave up those three goals on three consecutive shots.

Was actually the first time I touched goalie since the Early release, so we were equally rusty ;)

Will be on again in probably half an hour.

Played two games against Matt Young. I won the first with a score of 4-1 and a lot of lag starting in the second period and lasted till the end. The second I lost and it was again a 4-1 game with lag from the first period till the end. My playing went to shit in game two also. I couldn't seem to pass for the life of me unless it was to someone on L.A. Halak even came out of the crease and left the net wide open.
