Call of Duty Black Ops $53.96 Walmart

CAGiversary!
At walmart.com, they are offering Black Ops for a discounted price of $53.96 + a $20 egift card.

I came about this because I went to walmart to see if they had any promotions for call of duty and I was told that there was a promotion online for a $20 egift card. I emailed walmart.com to be sure it was true and they confirmed it. I guess its a secret promotion because it is not displayed on walmart.com. Email them first and after you preorder and you should get it.

Don't see the +$20 egift card promo anymore.
Also cag's be wary as Walmart will most likely not get the game to your house on street date for those who are nit picky about playing it on the first day.
Ordered 2 games off there and both came a week after release (i believe they do ship it out street date but takes courier a week to get here, they do cheap out on shipping rates)

DONT ORDER FROM WALMART.COM!!!!! Sure the deal may be decent but their customer service is probably the worst I have ever tried to work with. Please take my advice....

I agree. Avoid them like STDs.

I've ordered 3 games from them(Fable 3, Halo Reach, and Madden 11) and each one I got on Monday, a day before they came out. Every single one of them. So, I think your information is either wrong or they have changed shipping methods since the last time you bought a game from them.

I've always had good experiences from walmart... for example I ordered this for $59.99 when it had the $20 e card. I called up and had my price adjusted down to the $53.xx price with no issues... and I already had a $20 e credit stacked on so my net out of pocket is $33.xx..

My only problem with walmart is the lack of $20 e cards on upcoming titles. Alot of them only has $10 now. I like stringing the credits.

+1.. I've had Halo, Madden, and Fable all come the day before release date...

Thank you for contacting Walmart.com regarding being informed that a $20.00 egift card is being offered with the Call of Duty: Black Ops (PS3).

We have sent you the $20.00 egift card to [email protected].

Don't think amazon has the best deal, they also may offer 20$ points card but supposedly there are restrictions on the what you can purchase with it. Read the restrictions before pre-order!

I have a GC to use up so if it comes with a GC I might order it online. I'd have to wait until monday and put some cash into my account though. I'll email them first, see what they say. If they truly plan to offer it online they should update their site.

They don't mention any specific games. They just say any video game sold or fulfilled from amazon.com.

Thanks for the tip I had a giftcard so I preordered last week. I just emailed them so heres hoping!

thanks for the heads up. Amazon selling it for full price turned me off and honestly i have zero need for game credit as i dont purchase many games from them. 90% of what i get is from Steam sales so their credit would rot. Walmart credit on the other hand is useful to me. Probably get some shaving blades or some other consumables i'll actually use.

Never had a problem with their CSRs either. Infact they got me MW2 for $38 stacking their deals/discounts when that released :). Amazons usually tell me to stuff myself or completely ignore me. They've become quite the d-bags over the last couple years since they killed off the price protection policy.

Pre-ordered the PC version and sent them an email, hopefully they come through otherwise i'm waiting and hoping someone has a black friday deal.

I agree. CS has no clue and are no help at all. They flatly refused to cancel a pre-order (3 weeks before the release) and told me return it to my local store for a refund when it arrived.
Their 'release day' delivery 'guarantee' isn't a true guarantee - it offers nada in case of failure. They sent my Fable 3 pre-order via Fed Ex ground who never got it here until the day after release and CS claimed they could do nothing and offered nothing.
If you want Black Ops on release day do not count on Walmart.com to get it to you.
After 3 orders (due to 'deals') I told CS I had it with the poor service and was going back to Amazon who never failed to get a release day to me in the last 3 years and CS basically shrugged - offered no apology and no incentive to give them another chance.
No matter the deal from Walmart.com I'll stick to Amazon for pre-orders and release day guarantees.

Consider yourself lucky then. My Fable 3 was a day late. My info is right so I think it depends on your area. The tracking clearly shows they sent it the night before release day. IF they had used UPS I would have gotten it on release day, but they used Fed Ex - and you have no choice of carrier. My other pre-orders came release day - but at 6:30 PM - due to them using Fed Ex. They claim they have no control over who the carrier is. And like I said CS offered nothing for the failed promise of RD delivery.
I think it depends on your area. You got Fable 3 a day early - I got mine a day late. But people should be aware of potential problems before they order.

I contacted walmart after I saw this, and was told no gift card promo was being run for black ops...

If no one can confirm this then I'd say this deal is dead.

DONT order from walmart. I made that mistake with mw2 and it took 3 weeks after the release date to arrive. The customer service said thats normal shipping time for a pre order. Save yourself and order from amazon. No tax means the price will be about the same, if not better.

I ordered Halo reach and Naruto Shippuuden ultimate ninja storm 2, which was not too long ago.
