I just noticed this a few minutes ago while searching, so I'm pretty sure this Overstock price drop just happened today. You might want to hurry, I don't think there has been a universal drop on this game.
Good deal, but I'm counting on it going alot cheaper...
It's a well-done Nintendo published game... those don't normally drop till they go player's choice or are getting cleared out of stores after being around for over two years.

Anybody that's sitting on the fence with Chibi-Robo, for the love of God, order this game now! It's really brilliant stuff. Great story, very nice sense of humor, awesome play control, and innovative use of music and sound effects.
this will be like guiest and drop to 9.99 just wait a see.
The difference is Geist wasn't very good. And it's $19.99 everywhere but TRU's clearance (Resident Evil 4 was 9.99 at TRU as well, did anyone predict that?)

Agreed, I don't see it selling well and think it will be $10 - $20 by the summer

Don't count on it. Nintendo hasn't got a lot of first party titles to hold them over until the Rev drops so they'll be clinging to what they've got pretty tightly.

Maybe it won't be an official manufacturer's price drop but I can see a store like Circuit City or Target clearancing it out.

Sweet, picked up a copy. Thanks!

If you have an AMEX card, they have a promo for 10% off overstock orders... for some reason it didnt deduct the $3 from my order, but I emailed them so hopefully they'll credit me back.

While I agree this will probably be down to $20 by late summer, this is a great deal for anyone that wants to play the game now.

Damn... I'm wondering if this is worth buying or waiting for. I expected Mario DDR to plummet in price like no other but we saw what happened with that. I'm wondering if this'll be the same way.

I can't imagine this relatively obscure release got even remotely near the print run of Geist. I say it's better to be safe than sorry and pick it up now. Heck, I haven't even see this thing at most retailers.

I bit. I'm the cheapest of the cheap, but I love off-beat Japanese games, and $30 for a brand new game is hard to turn down.

Thanks OP.

I bought this from Best Buy a week ago for $39.99 + tax. I have not opened it, but this saves me $16.94 ($5 coupon).
coupon they gave out for price mistake.
what is the coupon code for it? or was it unique for each person who asked about the price mistake?

it is a one time code for the those who ordered Neon Genesis Evangelion Platinum Collection at the incorrect price. If you ordered you will have the code.

I want this game. However I won't buy from Overstock.com because I have $30 of in store credit from a pre-order that sold out. And of course they won't let me use my credit to buy this game. Overstock.com credit can't be used on media items. Its so unfair.

If any other store or mailorder had the game for this price, I'd buy it. I'm guessing that places like Circuit City probably won't price match Overstock.com either.

This is tempting, but I'd rather wait for it to go greatest hits price. If this price was only for breath of fire I'd be all over it however.

I'll second what this guy said. I paid $50 for it and don't regret it at all, I'm loving every minute of it. It's pretty much a requirement that you like quirky games though.

I wouldn't be surprised if they printed a lot of these actually...I mean, how many other first party GCN games are going to be released this year? Nintendo probably hopes (foolishly) that this will sell somewhat well and keep the GCN alive until Rev.

This'll either become worth $70 or $5... and I can't tell which. I want to play the game, though, so I ordered it. Thanks.

If they never sent you the game then they aren't keeping their end of the bargin. If I were you I'd contact the credit card company and get the charge reversed.

video games are like stocks, you don't know if the price will go up, go down, or stay the same... i'm still waiting on an nba street v3 GC version drop, but places are still selling it for 49.99... paper mario still sells for 49.99 (it dropped for a one-day sale at ebgames.com a long time ago but went back up), but games like mario ddr and phoenix wright can't even be found anymore... i'm not sure about chibi-robo, this game is pretty fun nonetheless...

That's what I thought too. How can they be sold out when I preordered in advance?? Unfortunately I paid with PayPal so I can't get my money back. For that reason I don't pay online with PayPal anymore but with credit card so I can at least get my money back if something goes out of stock.
