ChromeHounds - Gen. Discussion & Info

Hey, Linkin, get your ass on Chromehounds. Those shields you want so bad are available in the shop. There are only 3 weapons now in the experimental lottery.
 
I just got this game yesterday, is it worth playing the single player for a bit or try to get into a squad straight away ?

Will I just get told to "get lost N00b".

Oh Snap! I'll try to get them tomorrow. I was running maintanance on my crappy ass PC and it took longer then expected, then I just watched HEROES after. Sorry I missed you guys.

No to both ideas.

Beat the single player and get class S in every mission, then play xbl.

Or you could ust do whatever the hell you want, I'm sure in a squad people will give you some shop parts.

So far I'm having a ton of fun with the game, I'll probably be on tonight around 10 EST if anyone wants to play.
 
With Live being down, I've been able to get through a bit of the single player game, but I was hoping someone could answer this for me:

Is it possible to edit the "Borrowed Hounds" you're given during a mission? I wanted to add different parts to the existing Soldier RT Hound they have, but I can't figure out if it's even possible. All I can seem to do is just look at the stats.

It's pretty damn fun building them though. I just need to get a bunch more parts as I only have the bare necessities. About what percentage of the total parts are available in the single player game? Or are most of them found in the Live portion?

No editing borrowed hounds. You can build a new hound based off of the parts you unlock in SP. I'd say its a small percentage you unlock maybe 5-10 percent. You unlock more parts when you get "S" rankings.

They mentioned using the Soldier RT borrowed hound in the Sniper missions. I'm hoping more parts are unlocked with S rankings in the harder missions (commander, artillery). Even with S rankings in the Soldier RT, all I got was two or three parts.
 
I might be able to jump on later in the evening. Sorry I couldn't get into a game last time - I got a message saying no squad members were in-game every time I tried to do a Rendezvous with the Squad.

I am guessing it may be something with my router - although it worked fine a couple weeks ago.
 
Sorry for being flaky this week guys, but I'm not gonna be in again tonight. Its my GF's B-Day today and were spending the evening together.

1. Yes, the little bar right under borrowed hound, press it and it switches it to garage, then press on that and you can build/edit your hound. You can't edit the borrowed hound though, it's set, you can just rebuild it if you have the parts and change some things if you want though. AND MAKE SURE TO GET RANK S IN THE MISSIONS, EXTRA PARTS YES YES!!!!!

3. Well I suppose most are found in Live, but only by a little.
 
Just found these cool video clips and pictures from Armored Core 4. Its from the makers of Chromehounds. Maybe when it comes out, we can migrate the clan over. The game is definately not as slow as CH ;)

Used to play a ton of Armored Core 2 on the PSX, definitely a lot faster than CH is. I wondered why I thought Chromehounds played so familiar, had no idea the same company dabbled with both.

Depends on when everyone is ready to switch. I'm sure all except the newer members have gotten the 3 war w/ same nation ach. I'm just trying for the revive the nation ach. but I could have gotten that by now if I remembered to log back in.

Also, anybody who plans on joining needs to join us now if they are in Tarakia, I think we'll go to Morskoj next, or wait to choose a nation until after we change. For now, I know we have one spot open and I believe SteveMcQ wanted in, so the spot is his if he wants it.
 
So next Tuesday then, I'll hop on when one of you guys are on and I'm set for the squad? Still trying to get S rankings on the missions, but I can at least make any of the RTs now. Should I look into making an RT prior to hopping online or how's this whole thing work?
 
Steve, if you see me on at all, whatever game, message me and Ill swap discs at whatever save point I ccan get to and add you to the roster.

It is easier if you have a hound ready to go. That way we just meet up and battle, but if you don't its no big deal, we can wait in the lobby, we can hook you up with extra parts and money if you need some too. That goes for anyone that needs any.

Do you guys want to play tonight? Everytime I go on Live with the game it says the servers are going to be down 10/24 (tomorrow) after 5 PM EST for some reason.
 
I will be online tomorrow night for the Tuesday session. I think RX is going to be back from a business trip too and I'll try to get him to jump online also.

Its great to have my 360 back!
 
So for the couple of CAGs who can invite me into the squad, can anyone jump on tonight so I can get in before you jump wars? Or whatever that means. We don't even have to play a full game if it's not needed, just so I can get in and be in the squad when everyone plays normally.

I was on LIVE but I was playing Splinter Cell. I didn't see anybody jump on except UltimateMattX and by then I was already going to bed. Maybe Thursday.

So it looks like the parts I buy while I'm on Live don't transfer over into the SP game, which sucks. Do you get access to more parts (particularly, the bases that I'm looking for) as you move up in Rankings, or is it a seasonal type of thing? Where certain parts are available and then it rotates to a new set in the shop?

Same here is was online all evening playing NBA 2K7 and did not get an invite to play unitl I was about to hit the sack. I should be around for the Thursday evening session.
