CAGiversary!
Feedback

After much anticipation I present...the CC 50% off sale! Let me preface the list with a few comments. This is 50% off the regular price--49.99 will be 24.99, 29.99 will be 14.99 and so on. The price that shows when the game is scanned will be the 50% off price. Essentially, the included games should range in price from $4.99-$24.99. Each individual title's price was not on the list and I'm not about to scan every game to find out. :)
Second, I was not able to confirm this directly since the price changes will be downloaded over Saturday night; however, this list is printed directly from CC internal website. I have no reason to believe any of these titles are wrong. This does not prevent CC corporate from changing these prices or titles at any point during the week. OK, I'm sure everyone is sick of me covering my back so let's have some fun...

EDIT: This sale is actually UP TO 50% off. The 50% is not guaranteed. Some will be 50%, some won't. I'll list prices for games as they come in. I apologize for getting anyone too excited.

EDIT: I've changed the format slightly. I'm listing all games alphabetically w/console listed after when necessary. I just don't have time to type multiple titles multiple times. You understand, right?

EDIT 2/6 3:35P EST: Well, it seems there has been a lot of hype and not much substance so far. This list is legit as the scans on page 9 will show; however, CC corporate is not known for downloading prices on time. There may be more price drops Tuesday morning since, if not all prices were downloaded correctly, corporate won't realize it until Monday then download them Monday night. There is also speculation that the sale will increased as late as 2/20-21 for the President's Day sale. Unfortunately, I'm unable to find out anything else until Monday at the earliest. I am going to go ahead and post prices that are listed on the thread by fellow CAGs. I can't confirm these so I'm counting on other CAGs for accuracy. Essentially, lower your expectations some but don't give up yet.

Thank you very much to twiztidjester for answering the many questions that came in while I was posting this topic. I appreciate your offer to help w/the list. I just wish I would have noticed it before. :(

Also to demonmanTNA for providing a scan of the list since I'm scannerless. X-Division rules! TNA on PPV Sunday, 2/13!

There are different value classifications for the generic stamped games. It looks like pretty much all of the value groups are included in the sale. These might not make a lot of sense (even if you work at CC) but check them anyway.

value bin 19.99-PS2 & Xbox
value bin 9.99-PS2 & PS1

Well, I think this is it. Let me know if I left anything off or made any bad spelling errors. I will try to post prices as they come in. Happy hunting, everybody! :D

i got to run a few movies back out by CC so i might stop in around noon and pickup a few titles. If they do refuse to price check (like usually) i will just go up to the Main counter and start yelling :) about how the people are not doing their jobs

only a few games on the list so i doubt i will get anything cause the games i want (baten kaitos) will probally only be 10% off. Then again why do i just buy it at the webpage for 25 DOH!

i take that back i will probally be looking for around 10 or so Im guessing at % off

Baten kaitos (guessing 10%)
Mario party 5 (good luck finding)
Hack outbreak (again good luck finding)
FFT gba (around 10% off and good luck)
golden sun lost age (they had these 3 weeks back fingers crossed 50%)
monster rancer 3 ( you will need VERY VERY good luck finding)
Onimusha 3 (probally 50% if its 14.99 and drops to 7.49 might get)
takken tag (again probally 50% if its 10 and falls to 5 i buy)
unlimted saga (they need to pay me to take this game )

I thought it was either 30% or 50% off? Where are people pulling this 10% business?

Leaving in about a half hour. Will report back.
I thought it was either 30% or 50% off? Where are people pulling this 10% business?

i not counting on anything till i see them. I wouldnt be shocked if some games at 5% off. i think i will take a little notebook in with me and check some of prices they might have signs up so you dont have 100s of people asking for price checks

I would love to walk ouit of CC with Golden sun lost age for 10 bucks since i missed it at KB toys

I dont think the prices are right on the Webpage or There are some of the games on the LIST are not ON THE LIST

Cause Golden sun Lost age is still showing up on the WEB for 19.99
Does anybody know if Blinx 2 was $20 BEFORE the 50%? That'd be a nice pickup for $10.
from what i remember yes it was $20, but i could be wrong.
Does anybody know if Blinx 2 was $20 BEFORE the 50%? That'd be a nice pickup for $10.
Blinx should have dropped to 20 dollars nationwide as of last month. If its a 50 percent drop, then that would be decent.

i hope to be there when the doors open at 11, BUT then i got to run a movie back then go to dollar store then run to walmart then pick up a pizza. Hopefully i will be back around 2pm est... If i can find out some prices i list them Probally only 5 max if that one person is working

Only thing i hope to grab is Golden sun for 10 COME ON BE THERE

When people start getting prices We should make a NEw topic something like

C.City 50% off sale Price list

or something so we dont have to dig though 20+ pages trying to find prices
nothing for me cause the people at our CC will refuse to ring games up to see prices they are freaking @&*$#@#@
Yes, that's very true because a lot of those employees at our CC piss me off. That's why I rarely go there anymore, along with their games being very dis-organizing. I'm not in Fort Wayne right now, so I can't go there today. :( The game I'd like to get, probably won't be there when I go home on Friday.

couldnt you get Backyard wrestling 2 even cheaper. Go over to Best buy today but it for what 40 or 50 bucks. Wait till tomorrow take the CC ad in showing 15 bucks and get 2.50 or 3.50 back pushing the game to 11.50-12.50 ??

then again the game is so freaking bad i wouldnt pay more then 5

I'm gonna try to do my best to sit this one out. Can't spend till March.
Doom 3 , Republic Comando, PSP..........must ......resist

Just to let everybody know, Blinx 2 is actually a really fun game. The first was far from great, but the sequel has a great 2 player co-op mode. The co-op alone makes it worth the price of $20, and at $10 its a steal.
I agree with Silde on the new thread making.
if someone does, it needs to be a regular, who plans on updating the list with a high amount of frequency
I don't really see a need for a new thread since we know at what pages the new prices should begin.
we will most likely need a new thread bc it looks like 90% of the games in this thread that are supposed to be on sale are NOT on sale and at regular prices. If it turns out that these games are on sale, then sure keep this thread, if only a handful of the games are on sale, then make a new thread that is actually accurate. sound good?

If it turns out that way, then it makes sense. Still, I'm hoping that website prices don't reflect b&m. Anyway, off I go.
I'm leaving now, I'll try to be back within a half hour or 45 minutes and report any prices I can get
Thanks, you'll save us west coasters some much needed sleep if all turns out bad.

OMG! TEH CC IS OPEN!!!!!1

lol the nearest one is an hour drive... early thank you to whoever posts some prices to help me determine if it is worth my time/money

I would do it, i come alot, but dont post as much as others, problem is I would never get permission to cause im Help1, heh.

EDIT:

I have one question, if SC:pT is 20 or less, is it worth getting it with Choas Theory coming out in late march? Do alot of people still play online?

i picked up sc:pt(xbox) for $5.25 (former blockbuster rental, no case) and played it a little and figured chaos theory would blow it away. I am guessint it will be very easy to find sc pt for under $10 after chaos theory comes out.

The Circuit City near Gratiot in Roseville, Michigan was a complete bust.

They had a lot of the games that were on sale, yes...but none of them rang up as it. FFTA, for example, still came up at $35.

The games that WERE on sale were marked - little red and white paper signs in front of that title. Almost nothing for the GBA or Cube; a few games for the PS2 and Xbox, but no incredible deals and nothing that I haven't seen for cheaper anywhere else.

I could check the other two CCs in the area, but something tells me it isn't worth it...
ok I just got up and seen the thread is 17 pages long. So what is exactly going on? I don't want to read all 17 pages.
Me too. Someone posted scans of the sale sheet on page 9. Other than that, nothing is really going on. I went to bed when this thread was 2 pages long and when I woke up it was 17, yikes!

It's entirely possible that the 50% off will not come off until after the sale is totaled out. That is to say that it is common practice in these cases to treat the 50% off as coupon. Thus meaning that it will not come up in a price check but only after the sale has been totaled.

I could check the other two CCs in the area, but something tells me it isn't worth it...
I just came from there, picked up FFXI for $37 and Taiko Drum Master for $35, I'm done with my tax money so no more spending for me for a long while.
It's entirely possible that the 50% off will not come off until after the sale is totaled out. That is to say that it is common practice in these cases to treat the 50% off as coupon. Thus meaning that it will not come up in a price check but only after the sale has been totaled.
That's what happened during the TRU 50% sale...But to be honest, every CC sale I've bought from has always had the games scan at the discounted price.

Don't get too excited about this deal...

Just got back, only about 20 titles, with paper signs marking them, were on sale. Baten Katos, regular price...DDR Max2 XBox, regular price...

ANd I actually purchased Baten Katos...totaled out at $50.

I don't know about this one. The CC ad shows 1080 for GC for $25, I got this for $10 brand new about 6 months ago. I'll see what others find and then decide if I want to take a chance at my CC.

I'm not familiar with said practice. sounds shady

you know, these CC events are never gonna be as good as they once were. Everytime they have a sale you guys hit the daylights out of them - of course they're not going to have anything for the next time.

Meanwhile some CC that a CAG has never been to has a goldmine.

were there $5-10 stuff? (trade fuel)

Taiko was on sale?

DAMN IT. This is what I get for not taking a copy of the list with me. I could've sworn that it wasn't marked as being on sale, though...

Of course it was with the hard drive silly.

Taiko rang up at $35, and Sonic Adventure DX at $15, but Blinx 2, Viewtiful Joe 2, Gungrave: OD, and Mega Man Collection (ps2) were all normal price.

The sale sign was actually under one of the boxes, I picked one up and there it was, there are still like 5-6 more left if you hurry you can get one, that is if you don't live too far.

FFXI doesn't sell seperately from the HDD...

SA:DX can be had at Sams for $12.88.
So, if most of these aren't on sale, what's that huge list for?
I was wondering that too, that list is rediculously long for no reason, don't bother with it at all.
