If this is done the same way that the infinite ammo glitch is, then it isn't IW/MS's fault. You need a modified console to do it.
 
I think it is the same type of thing as I just saw people offering to infect others with some new "speed hack" and hosting speed hack rooms on a game hacking/cheating forum. It seems MW2 gets more interesting every day.
 
Was the 360 update ever rolled out or given a date? At this point I almost wish I bought on PS3 because at least their stuff gets fixed in a reasonable time period. Every time Rust comes up I just quit now.

I was reading about this online looks like it is a promotion they are doing with Alvin and the Chipmunks the Squeakquel which comes out tomorrow.

there's a new mod out that lets people have X BA on their name instead of their gamertag and of course they have the 10th prestige title. It's basically for boosting and I called the guy out on it and said how much of a loser that is and he just left.
 
WOW! The SPAS's (shotgun) range makes the 1887's look like childs-play.


EDIT: 2 more bugs found:

  1. Thermals aren't distorted by broken glass.
  2. You can see through smoke if you look through broken glass.

Apparently there is a patch stuck in MS certification right now for some of the glitches and the speed hack has just been hotfixed.

Interested to know how to pull off the speed glitch? I don't use glitches (often), but I hate not knowing how they are done?

Also, the Spas should have some advantage over other shotguns, as it is pump action. I don't know if the Spas makes the 1887 range look like nothing though....

Interesting difference. Too bad I didn't get to use it again this time before the patch, besides on enemies occasionally. I like the patch work IW is doing. The patches are coming quick, and addressing issues that the people want addressed.

I hear from some people that the 1887s are totally useless now though? Maybe that's just from people who used to use them and their range well? It still reloads pretty fast, and has good fire rate. It just has shorter range, but shotguns aren't suppose to fire as far as the 1887s (used to) anyway, so....

That because those people used the 1887 as crutches. 1887 doesnt look useless, now you just have to learn to use them like every other weapon.

Its disgustingly obvious how overpowered the 1887 are in that video.
 
Win. I'm looking forward to tearing back into this tomorrow after the patch is in circulation and visiting sites without sifting through page after page of constant Tac-Knife and 87 bitching. Ugh.

It was fun when we had some "balance".
Now you've glitched the F@!* out of it.
 
Ran into the speed glitch yesterday. Just backed out and moved on. It seems like it you play sabotage, hq and demolition you are less likely to get pulled into glitched matches. On the other hand domination and dm seem to be more likely to be glitched matches.
 
Finally earned my first nuke. Got 11 kills, called the CG and made it to 25 exactly.

Still kinda shocked when I almost died by knife runner/akimbo shotguns several times.
 
I am sick and fucking tired of being sniped by the Model 1887 shotguns. It's not even so much they're overpowered, which they are, that gets to me. It's that half or more of everyone playing online is dual wielding them.

At least Infinity Ward has addressed the fact and a patch is in the works.
 
And also, there is a rumor going around my school that Infinity ward plans on reseting the entire game so that everyone goes back to level 1 due to all the hacks and glitches. Is this legit, or just some random BS?
 
The Patch is out for XBL. I'm at work but I read this on Kotaku a few min ago.

1887's were definitely addressed in the patch.

I can't wait to get home... and level up from 25 to 63 to unlock the 1887's and check. =P

I doubt this very much. For each glitcher/booster they reset, they would piss off thousands of legit players.

I wonder how the rumor's spread like that?

I can't see them doing it at all.. It would really piss me off.
 
+1 on pissing people off. I spent 3days playing to earn my 2nd prestige...no way they are gonna reset the boards. They may clean up the boards to removed the hacked accounts which are 10th prestige with under 2minutes played...thats about as far as i see them taking it.

Yeah it's pretty easy to find out who are true players and who are glitchers. The two highest lvl CAG's I'm aware of are Khondor and Mortific who are both like 5th or 6th prestige, and it's taken them several days of gameplay to get there.
 
Supposedly one of my friends friends (?) got banned from MW2 for doing the 10th prestige hack last night. He was apparently in a party with my friends and some official looking guys joined up told everyone to leave except him. They talked to him for a little bit and then he went straight offline.

Obviously I don't know if its true or not since I wasn't there, sounds kinda fishy, but my friends usually don't lie to me. He only had like one day played so it would have been easy to find him.

Anyone know how to get up to this sniper spot in Afghan? You take the plane wing all the way up and straight ahead above the cavern there is 2 containers on the wall. to the right there is the ledge w/ the tree. I saw someone on top of the containers sniping at a pretty impressive range. The few times i tried to get up there in private match i fell short. I tried head on from the plane wing which seems too long and the few times from the ledge i came short. Do you need lightweight for the jump? Any help is greatly appreciated.

He strafe jumped in the video to get there. Its not a very good spot IMO since as soon as you kill someone they will just come right back and kill you after watching the killcam. Unless you have them spawn trapped behind the cave or on top of the ridge you can get shot from too many different angles for it to be worth camping in that spot. Maybe worth it in SnD to defend A after you plant or if you are playing touch football mode when they cant check killcam.
 
Got the patch as soon as I logged in this morning, wonder what it addressed. Had a game right after that were someone got 30 kills and nuke in a FFA within 3-4min. Everyone else had a max of 7 kills, then the guy dropped. Seemed very suspicious.

Yea the amount of people boosting for nukes is insane. Can't wait for everyone to have the emblem/title so it will stop.
 
Had to smile. Got thrown into a demolition game where someone was nuke boosting. Got'em at 24-0 hiding in corner with someone using a TI on the other team. As soon as the round was over both left.
 
Ya same here not even close to a nuke. Basically if the entire other team was blind I still would find a way to kill myself and not get it.

Had a blast playing last night. 66-68 and still have not slept. Game is insane addictive.
 
so I finally hit lv 30. still staying in MTDM for now and drop once the game ends to get different randoms. upped my kd to about 0.66 :whistle2:|, though I have no idea how so many people have over 1.00 and don't camp. it seems every match where I go -4 or more someone is camping with a LMG w/HBS and coldblooded and/or ninja on. my highest kill streak is 7 or 8 (11 or so thanks to care package but that doesn't count on leaderboards :cry:).

I mostly run and gun by taking the long way around the map. For the most part I stick with one class using Scar and the basic pistol. I just rotate the perks but usually always have Commando Pro on. I also use Marathon pro, Scavenger Pro, Bling, Hardline, SP, and sometimes CB.

As I'm lv 30, I don't have many kill streak rewards unlocked. My setup is usually Care Package, Predator, Helicopter (I probably should have went with harrier since the bombing still happens if it's shot down). I only ever got to call in the heli once...and yup shot down :bomb:. so far I've gotten a CG and PL from carepackage and my favorite reward that I've had so far is the PL (whenever I open one from a care package no one shoots it down and I end up first in my team).

My score is usually around 700-1100 and usually go -3 to +2. Half my kills are from knifing and get a decent amount of semtex kills. I suck using stuns and need to time flashbangs better.

get in a private match with a friend and have them kill you 25 times...thats what i did

PS I am in a crazy slump...the day before yesterday I won at least 15 games in a row with a buddy scoring in the 20-30's each time (best game was 37-2 and all day yesterday i was getting my ass stomped...HATE IT!

Yeah your on my list but your not a addict like me lol. I had 24... Yes, 24 without hardline perk and nuke equipped. Imagine how pissed I was, because it was a legit 24 IE no camping and getting the chopper gunner as my second KS. Extremely pissed, I did a Angry Video Game Nerd impression for like ten minutes.

Anyways I found the patch has done well, however I still saw someone using the button Icon's as their name on the map surprised they didn't patch that yet.
 
Damn they banned my former clan name CUM! but CUM still works...*shrug* I guess you can't be enthusiastic about it. I'll adapt I suppose.
 
You know what, just for kicks I think IW should include a D-Day map (Normandy most likely) in the new map pack.

Like a throw back to where they have come from. I think it would cool to play some of these objectives on a map like that.
 
Agreed the maps don't have the long felt staying that MW1 seemed to have. I hope they go nuts with new maps in the near future.
