Ah well. Maybe they'll be in next week. I still got 14 of the 16 I ordered from this week.If it wasn't a matter of a Diamond shortage then the only option I could guess at it would be a penalty from Diamond for breaking a street date but, like I said, that's just a guess.
i talked to my local comic book shop about releases... he said the best reference to see whether a comic book is going to be released the coming week is going to Previewsworld. PW is a diamond comic distributors' affiliate company. I used to look at midtown comic's website since they seem to have the most comprehensive pull listing. but there are instances that some comics specially independents are incorrectly listed as being released that week but is not on previews world.Maybe this is a dumb question, but has anyone ever heard of a distributor choosing not to release certain titles to a specific store? I was told that was the case today with Astonishing Ant-Man #3 and Star-Lord #2 at my usual place. It just seems strange to me. I did a few Google searches for answers on the subject but found nothing.
antman#3 was not released today. but starlord #2 did. i saw some in my local shop earlier. never did picked up #1 but i did see #2 being sold. Both have release dates of 12/23. Ant-Man is available to purchase online via various sites, while Atomic Empire seems to be the only search result that has a listing for Star-Lord.

So I don't know what's up.
midtown comics is having their annual year end blowout. just ordered 10 skottie young variant comics for less than $20. hehe! i think they have 40% off on select TPBs too.Ah well. Maybe they'll be in next week. I still got 14 of the 16 I ordered from this week.
Does anybody know of any sites that have holiday sales going on right now for TPBs and hardcover collections? In Stock Trades is my usual choice for such things, but I figured maybe some other place might have good deals on some of the many books I want.
To keep this thread going.I won't be getting my books til tomorrow night, but I assume you're referring to Archangel being on the Uncanny X-Men squad. Meanwhile, young Angel still rolls with the new X-Men... and somehow, simultaneously, with Wolverine.
Nice to see some activity in this thread, though. I didn't bother catching up and sharing my last 3 weeks of purchases since no one else was posting. But I am picking up 30 (yes, THIRTY) new comics this week. Well, one is a back issue, but 29 doesn't sound as impressive/pathetic.
When you read your comics, do you do it all in one sitting? Or do you break it up into chunks throughout the week? How long does it usually take you?
I need to read some of these newer Archie comics. I hear good things about them. They look like a lot of fun.Read the complete Archie vs Predator. WOW, really bloody, and fun!
My only complaint for the last run of new Archie titles is I don't care for the Jughead artist who is the same artist for Squirrel Girl, otherwise every title they've released has all been fantastic.I need to read some of these newer Archie comics. I got a couple issues of the Squirrel Girl comic. I agree, didn't care for the art.My only complaint for the last run of new Archie titles is I don't care for the Jughead artist who is the same artist for Squirrel Girl, otherwise every title they've released has all been fantastic.
After you read the main Archie title and see how each of the three different artist draw Betty and look at how she's drawn in Jughead you'll be confused and maybe even outraged.I got a couple issues of the Squirrel Girl comic. I agree, didn't care for the art.
I like the art style in Squirrel Girl. But even if you don't, I believe that book contains some of the most entertaining writing you can find in the current crop of Marvel Comics. And she's having a crossover with Howard the Duck!I got a couple issues of the Squirrel Girl comic. I agree, didn't care for the art.
Squirrel Girl and Howard the Duck are my favorite "slice of life" type comics. They generally may not have the most serious storylines (though Howard is getting slightly more serious after the relaunch), but are fun to read and have lovable main characters.I like the art style in Squirrel Girl. I try to limit mine to 20 per week maximum, but sometimes, shit like last week happens. Marvel's Secret Wars delays and ANAD relaunches have made for a loaded pull list on their own. Add in a handful of titles from DC, Image, and IDW... you get the picture, literally and figuratively.Seeing some of your weekly pick-ups is amazing to me because you guys spend so much on comics, but then again, I spend more on food and is shows LOLZ
DKR2 was awful and All Star Batman & Robin was like a parody of what people come to expect from Batman (Batman is a TOTAL asshole to everyone and kills cops) and it never even finished! Don't ever let anyone tell you they were good or okay, because they were far from it.Also is it just me or does Dark Knight 3: The Master Race just kind of sucks? I may be missing something as I only read Dark Knight Returns and not the Batman & Robin All Stars or whatever it was called (though I've heard mixed opinion on it). I was excited for DK3 but it just bores me and seems like a lot of nonsense storytelling. I'm dropping it so far and am disappointed I still have issue #3 on pre-order. I do the orders in advanced for the savings, but it causes me to sometimes get books for 1 or 2 more issues after wanting to drop them.
Damn 20 is still a lot, I wish I can afford to do that weekly. I have been cutting down on my comics and been waiting for TPB because of the money and mostly because I can't keep up with the story line or characters with single issues. I keep forgetting what is happening with monthly comics and would have to go back and read a couple of back issues to remember what's going on, so I figure I would just wait for the TPB if it isn't Batman or already on my pull list.I try to limit mine to 20 per week maximum, but sometimes, shit like last week happens. Thanks for the info! I looked up my city shops to see if there were any comic shops here, and it seems like we have a few... hopefully they have those comicsThis issue has 8 different covers. Green, White, and Shielded Red Ranger covers are rare and pricey. My local shop was charging $70 for Green, for example. But Red, Blue, Black, Yellow, and Pink should all cost the standard $3.99.
The book is an ongoing series. The next issue (#1, since this was #0) will be available in March at comic shops everywhere.
