Thanks to the BB 10.00 sale a little while back, I snagged the two 360 C&C games. Love em both and a friend told me that Halo Wars essentially is the same type of game.

My question is, to those that may have played both, if I liked C&C, will I like Halo Wars?

Even though they are both RTS games, they are pretty different. The C&C games are a lot more in depth than Halo Wars and also has more realistic units. However being a pretty big Halo fan I think the story, units, and buildings are cooler than C&C. Ultimately though if your a big Halo fan I think you will have more fun with Halo Wars. C&C is still awesome though.

Oh for sure. Halo Wars is a lot simpler than C&C, but if your a Halo fan there's nothing better than creating tons of Halo units and waging war on the covenant. Plus the multiplayer isn't half bad. I'd never think I would enjoy a console RTS much less playing it online, but this one really has me hooked.

I really enjoyed Halo Wars SP campaign. But I tried to play a few MP games, and they were all about rushing. Still, overall, I'd say it was a really good game and one of the better console RTS games I have played. People have complained about it being a very simplified RTS, and it is. But I would much rather have a simple game done right than a complex game done wrong by being crammed into a controller lay out.

Well I've grown up with the C&C games and sadly I have C&C3 and Kane's Wrath for the PC and again for the 360, found em cheap^^, and really like playing Halo Wars. It's not as complicated as other RTS games that I like but I like to have fun and not be stressed all the time, aka Company of Heroes lol. The Campaign for Halo Wars was great but short although I find that I'll replay it whenever I want with no discouragement probably in part by the great CGI cut scenes and character/story development. Yea you'll probably like it.

Halo Wars is a lot simpler and you will like the game if you don't mind a RTS with no resource collection, no ability to place buildings almost anywhere (only at specific points around your base), and a lot less units than C&C. If you are a halo fan, it has good story.

The game is well worth 30 bucks and the biggest thing that is nice about Halo Wars compared to the C&C games is the co-op. I haven't been able to play around with it but I've heard the co-op gameplay is really fun to do, with what game isn't fun with co-op. If you really like C&C then grab RA3 since that has co-op as well.
