You guys hate John Cena now?

I use to hate him, but not anymore. The guy looks like they have him working hard. Gotta respect that.

also, nice MK/WWE video.

Are you JR?
John Cena tries, but in my high school years, a lot of kids tried real hard too. We didn't like them very much either.
 There is something about John Cena that just annoyes me to no end. I turn the channel when hes on.

I don't hate John Cena, hell if I hated him at least I might care about what he does.

He's just such a non-entity I can't understand why he's got such a huge push.

The video posted earlier was funny, but it served to remind me how much I used to love watching WCW/WWE back in the day, now I can barely stand it.

I believer that Cena is booked in such a manner that his shelf life will be closer to that of Hulk Hogan rather than Steve Austin. However, until more of the audience turns on him it's going to remain as it is. Until someone starts a 'It's not controversey, he just sucks" chant, Cena's character will remain the same. However, I suspect a heel turn may come up once he loses the belt to HHH.
However, I suspect a heel turn may come up once he loses the belt to HHH.
Read my mind why don't cha...well I could see either Cena or "hunter" going heel, and I hate to say it but its probably gunna be the latter

smart act by wwe to keep me tuned in for that booker t segment (but i hated what it turned out to be)...hopefully next week they start the show with him, no questions asked

and why is it snitsky can main event raw but big daddy v can't do the same on ecw?

How long has Cena had the belt now? Almost a year? Because I can see WWE having Cena hold the belt for the entire year, until he loses it to HHH on the anniversary of when Cena beat him to get the belt in the first place.

Well I'll be meeting Bret Hart this Sunday... I met him once when i was a really little kid and he was a complete cock to me so heres hoping hes going to be more personable this time around.

my two cents:

Best Matches Ever - Summerslam '92

Crush vs. Repo Man

Legion of Doom vs Money Inc.

The Brittish Bulldog vs Bret Hitman Hart

If he isn't, tell him he deserved his stroke.

Bret Hart and in-ring Bret Hart fused together to become Bret Hart.

Crush-Repo was a fine squash match, but it paled in comparison to those other matches, and the Disasters-Beverly Bros., and Martel-HBK. That's one of my favorite shows top-to-bottom ever - tons of great matches, although it had less crowd response than Summerslam '91, where the pop for Virgil's title win was one of the biggest ever.

As a kid, watching Kona Crush do that "cranium crush" move on Repo Man was sooooooooooooooooooo friggin awesome.

But yeah, i did a wikipedia search on SS'92 to get a refresher... i totally forgot about those other matches, Martel-HBK was a classic!
(going to youtube now to find his theme song, superb!)

SS'92 was the only event i had on tape until my brother accidentely recorded over it with episodes of "Caliente" & Saved by the Bell. :hot:

DAMN YOU SCREECH, ZACH MORRIS, & AC SLATER!!!

if i could find SS'92 on dvd, i'd get it in a heartbeat.
NICE FIND!!!:bouncy:

bid placed.
Oh, I bought the first six WrestleManias from the "tagged classics" series. They do the majors (WM, Royal Rumble, Summer Slam, Survivor Series) in two-PPV sequential sets. I also think they have a bunch of the old In Your House shows for sale on DVD, if you got a hankerin' for upscaling a Ludvig Borga-Undertaker match.
Isn't the anniversary on September 18th or something like that?
The horrible thing is WWE continues to claim Cena is the longest reigning champ in 2 decades, which is simply not true. Nash held the belt from November til the end of the next November. WWE math for you.

Careful what you say about Bret Hart or Ahmed will cry.

So the WWE can have Cena hold the belt until October. See... problem solved.

This is what we fear. Hopefully Orton puts an end to this crap, at least a temporary end, while Cena goes on to feud with Snitsky.

Speaking of odd feuds, when Taker returns he's expected to face Mark Henry (possibly knocking him out of the WWE for good) then
face Big Daddy V and Khali!

this best of raven nevermore dvd is pretty good..alot of old tna memories

i was hoping it had atleast one match where raven came out to his offspring remix song but there was none

I wish Balls would follow Vince around more often.

Sandman working the Tajiri spot to Regal would be amusing as well. WWE needs to inject some comedy back into the product, outside of the redundant "Damn" segments. Although, Santino has helped those.
It's nice to see Balls win for a change, even if it was a roll-up pin.
Indeed. Stevie has won his last 2, Balls picks up a win tonight, and somewhere Paul Heyman is smiling.

There's a video store near me with a ton of WCW and WWF videos for rent, and quite a few of the FMW and ECW ones from Pioneer (including the Best Of Cactus Jack, The Dudley Boys, and all of the Pioneer comp and PPV tapes). They're clearing out a TON of VHS tapes there to make room for DVD, and chances are, VHS will be sold off at $5 or 3 for $10. Score.

ecw was half assed...but i guess i shouldn't be surprised

i can see cena drop the belt this september @ unforgiven so he doesn't hold it for the full year (1 day short...haha!)

anyways, summerslam predictions:
punk beats nitro (leading to big daddy v guning for the title)
cena beats orton (1 more month...)
khali beats batista (you cant stop THE NOTSOGREAT KHALI!)
umaga wins triple threat (too easy to call...2 contenders beat each other up, champ retains always)
rey wins his debut (vickie guerrero is gunna interfere...i can already tell)
hhh wins his debut (im guessing with the help of jr)
and the winner of the womens match is some random raw diva (probably mickie or beth or even jillian)

Reading the spoilers for SD, I have to ask wtf?

Basketball Challenge
MVP vs. Matt Hardy

Also Stephanie McMahon is pushing for D'lo Brown to come back to Raw to be a mid-card wrestler. Rosey has been having dark matches this week's televised events with Johnny Jeter(formerly of the Spirit Squad) under his real name.

If Path of Destruction is there, I'd suggest picking it up. GREAT ECW compilation. As for FMW, I'd get King of the Death Match and the Hayabusa one.

Oh we're making predictions now? OK

1. Diva Battle Royal - Beth Phoenix
2. Kane over Finlay
3. Chavo over Rey? If Rey just wins there's no point to this feud continuing, Chavo may get DQ'd.
4. Kennedy pins Carlito. I'm guessing they made it triple threat so Umaga could lose without being pinned? This will keep the ball rolling on Kennedy's monster push.
5. Morrison over CM Punk. Vince is big on Morrison, keeping him as champ longer before moving him back to Raw or SD is the right move.
6. Triple H over Booker. They'll rematch on Raw, and Triple H will squash him again. I believe Booker is set to enter a program with Jeff Hardy next, could be interesting.
7. Khali over Batista. I doubt Batista ever holds the title again. The horrible part is these two could continue their program until Taker is back and done with Mark Henry. Yikes.
8. Orton over Cena. The time has come. Plus isn't the H's politiking for this?

No Hardy vs MVP? No tag matches? No Stevie Richards! D'oh.

I hope Stevie at least beats Thorn in a dark match at the ppv.

Are they going to do a Rey vs. Nash sequel feud? And by "Nash", I mean "Khali".

I'm not high on Cena as the champ but Orton is a lousy choice. He has a history of immaturity and plain, old, dumb-assery with the WWE and now his "punishment" has consisted of "legend-killing" Shawn Michaels & RVD and dethroning John Cena, a guy who has now held his title through all manner of monsters.

I understand the WWE is in dire straits with all their injuries but come on, don't make Orton into a god this year. That fucker should still be throwing headlocks in dark matches as far as I'm concerned.

EDIT - Although I did appreciate the funny story someone posted in here about Orton trading shirts at a... restaurant was it? Anyhow, sure, he deserves another chance but I'd rather have him take it off someone who is more of an interim champion than Cena has turned out to be.

Relax, Orton will just be a transitional champion again so the H's can get the belt back. He's let Cena hold it long enough.
Hardy versus MVP in a hopscotch challenge. Bank on it.
Well, Hardy said that he could beat MVP in anything. The sad part is that they're going to use MVP's heart problem as a reason for him to not do anything and I actually wanted to see MVP vs Hardy in all of these matches.

I remember MVP mentioning sports specifically, so you should probably look out for them too.
