[DEAD] Gamestop daily deal - spend $80 save $20 (works on many pre-orders)

If God of War doesn't come back in stock, I'm looking at DS preorders. Super Scribblenauts or Monster Rancher? Who wants to weigh in on which they think will be a better game?

I have a coupon for free overnight shipping for Halo:Reach.

It was suppose to expire 5 days ago but it still works.

If I use it will I get charged?
 
Anyone done pre-orders online using GS Edge credit before? I placed an order for $107 which should have used up all but $18 of my credit.

I then tried to place another order using my remaining credit but it never updated from my first order and is still showing my full $125 balance. So I went ahead and placed that order also. Why not if there's a chance theyll screw it up and send both orders...

Anyway now I check my balance, and still it shows $125 remaining on my edge card. So they dont "charge" the edge card until an order ships or what? That seems kind of dumb...

Try to go through the checkout and see if it charges you. It will probably work. If it shows you getting it for free then you'll get it for free. If it does end up charging you just call and complain, or cancel the order.

That would certainly seem to be the case. I'd imagine that when your second order ships, they'll simply finish off your credit then charge the rest a registered debit/credit card if you gave one at checkout, otherwise they'll likely cancel it.

USA Overnight - $0.00 - Allow 1 business day for transit & 1 business day for processing. A

Halo:Reach gets released on a Saturday. Will I get the game Saturday or Monday? I'm asking because I don't know if who ever Gamestop uses ships items on Saturdays.

Thats news to me..are you sure it releases on a Saturday? I thought it released on Tuesday, September 14th.

Just processed an order to check this. The $20 discount is divided between the games you order (the 19.99 game I ordered came out to 16).

So it looks like Gamestop have caught on - no free games this time.

There's absolutely no chance you'll get both orders. One of them will automatically be canceled because you don't have enough funds. Depends on which one gets charged first (which they don't do automatically, which is pretty weird of them.)

Yeah I figured and canceled the order I wanted least. It would be nice to be able to place 2 orders though and use up my remaining credit. Guess I'll call CS and see what they can do, if anything.
 
I didn't use this coupon but I did Pre-Order Halo:Reach and used a overnight shipping coupon. With the $20 back from Reach I'll be able to pick up FIFA 2011 for $40.

Not bad at all.

I tried pre-ordering it before and it showed up in my cart with no price and wouldn't let me place the order.
 
If I used saver on my items, is my non pre order item going to come soon instead of the time the pre ordered item arrived. I don't want to wait long for my other game

The reason I ask is because I'll have a 20 dollar credit from Amazon after buying Reach but I have a 35 dollar card from Gamestop thanks to 360 slim trade in deal and I want to buy either Assassins Creed: Brotherhood or LBP2 (along with something like KZ2 to get it above 80) using the GS card and this type of a deal and then I would just plop that 20 dollar Amazon credit on a game coming out next year like Gears 3 or SWTOR. I just have no idea which of those two games I want just yet

Long post made short, how often do they have deals like this? I'm assuming they'll have another one between now and November

I think the last time they had a good deal that worked on pre-orders it was the 25OFF code which worked for awhile in mid-late April, then it worked again for like half a day in mid May. That deal was much better than this one. There was also another deal that worked on pre-orders last month I think but that deal was pretty terrible. Like $10 off $75 or something.

Between now and November I'd guess they'd have another deal that will work but who knows how good it will be.

Yea I figured...I've got Amazon Prime for being a student so it's saving me 6 bucks plus I get release date delivery on everything for free. It's not really saving me any money with this deal other than I get KZ2 for free essentially. I've already got enough games to play as it is with NCAA, SC2, Reach and LBP2 or AC:B.

Thanks for the help though. I'm still super upset I didn't know about the GOW3 Ultimate deal until it was too late.....I was waiting for that to drop in price about 20 to add to my collection (already rented and beat it)
 
I just noticed something in the order history: it looks like it distributes the $20 in the form of percents across the games you order. Assuming you could have an order of exactly $80, with one game being $60 and one being $20, the $60 would be marked down to $45, and the $20 one would be $15.

In short, unless you're worried Gamestop might cancel your order, make every order you want with this code exactly $81, and cancel the other portions of your order to get the best discount.
