A full suit of brushwood; the same armor from the tower in 1-1. BTW, the Brushwood shield +5 is the best in the game since it's 100% fire and melee damage absorbant. Against magic, Dark Silver shield +5 is a no brainer at 100% (or Large Sword of Moonlight with both hands since it's 80%).
To get past that dragon, you can use the Brushwood shield to bare the brunt near the top of the stairs and then walk the rest of the way past his range.
Ah, well, I seem to remember I could barely
carry that armor, let alone wear it . That's the stuff past Miralda, right? In any case, pegging that dragon with arrows from just beyond the fire worked perfectly fine, though it was a bit tedious.
And what's with all this talk of running past Miralda to get the treasures? If you don't want to fight her all you have to do is come back when the WT isn't black any more and the gate will still be open but she won't be there. I just killed her with 2 x poison cloud though - easy enough. It would have been fun to make her run off the edge though

. Syn - I'm surprised her body was still there when you came back in. I thought drops like that went away if you returned to the Nexus or died? I know I lost Biorr's drops when I went back to fight the blue dragon the second time.
Great axe, have one of those, they too knock people over... is it not true that if you do a heavy swing (cant remember the neame) you are invincible for a short period? If so you could roll forward for a stike and do a heavy swing. That may get you past one, or knock him down.
Also isnt there a spell that stops magic form being cast? I swear I read that people used it on the BP scirvir....
There is but I haven't gotten the right demon for it yet. And besides, when I went back there the other day those guys were gone so it is a non-issue now. Boy is that level (1-3) so much easier without those clowns there .
Just an aside to the BP Satsuki conversation a few days ago when someone said there's no cheap way to kill him. Today I started at the 4-2 archstone, backtracked while backstabbing every fool I came across, then soulsucker-ed Satsuki. Like a dope, I even first tried to do it with not enough MP. So while standing within arms reach I used old spice then used soulsucker.
So while you can only do this on a second playthrough, it's possible.
And since I beat him straight up the first time, I don't feel AS cheap this time. I just wanted to see if it was possible since he seems to have a high detection range.
Hmmm... So I wonder if I could do this but by going up to where the black katana skeleton is and hitting him with arrows from up there. He won't be able to get up to that spot.
Also, did anyone else notice that in non-pure black or white WT he is standing up on that rampart above the first skeleton? He is hard to see but he is there, in body form. The first time I saw him I took a shot at him because I thought he was a skeleton archer. He just backed away and I couldn't see him any more.
ugh my 2-1 spiderstone lizard escaped. besides the 2-2 fist miners anywhere else to get spider?
The first 2-1 lizard didn't drop many for me anyway (and I got him 4 or 5 times). You need to hit up the later ones for spiderstones. There is one later in 2-1 (to the left up the stairs before you go outside to where the elevator is that goes to the blacksmith) that dropped them the other night when I found him. And at that point I didn't even need any more spiderstones. I spent a lot of time last weekend farming them from the fist miners when the WT was black - got all I needed that way. So you could lower the WT and farm those guys too.
Oh, and ChibiJosh - I've now killed 3 black phantom NPCs and I am not able to get the friend's ring from the Monumental. I will take care of Selen or whatever her name is (in 5-2) and then see if I can get it. Hopefully I can do it without dealing with Satsuki.
