Demon's Souls - Atlus & From Software's Action RPG - October 6
Yep, its just we got it in a more linear walk-through than what was out there in JP. The running firestorm trick is still probably the best JP discovery, plays hell on PvP though.
That and swinging 2-hand weapons like 1-hand weapons. Damn, they find everything.
I'll admit I did fall for a leap of faith message one time in my first ever run. I was like, I have to gullible once!

I did leave good ones and not-so-good ones as well. The health bonus was never needed though.
Yeah, I left some good messages as well to be helpful. However, they were never recommended anyway and the mischievous ones I left kept getting over 200 recommendations. o_O

You have to kill bosses/sub-bosses without dying in body form. Commonly, you have to defeat at least 3 bosses in that world before it goes fully white. A popular way is to suicide in the nexus then go defeat bosses in soul form. Soul form has no impact on world tendency when you die; however, body form does.

And the reason its so plausible is there are several locations that you jump that appear like it would mean your death (like that jump in the first area of Valley of Defilement), where you land safely.
how do you get your world pure white? theres a few worlds ive beaten every boss and yet the worlds are fully pure white.
The official wiki has a handy color chart where you can match the color of your archstone to see how close you are to pure white / black. Ignore the 4 multiplayer items as I don't think those are accurate.

Basically kill 3 bosses without dying in body form OR move all the way to pure black tendency, kill the named black phantom + primeval demon (without exiting to the Nexus) and then kill one more boss to move it to pure white. So as long as you still have one more boss to kill and the pure black events to do, you can get to pure white. Once all the bosses are dead, you can't get pure white again until new game+ or a pure white online server event (next one is probably Christmas).

In 3-2, I have just done the loop, and basically walk by the beginning of the level on my way to fight the boss. Is there any downside in returning to the nexus to level up before going to fight him? Will the whole level be reset? Or will I be able to go straight to the maneater return I return from the nexus?

As long as you
Knocked down both chains so that the "heart" fell
you're good to go to drop down and return to the Nexus. The enemies will respawn but I think there are only a couple of face bugs and 2 or 3 gargoyles between the start and the staircase that was previously blocked. If instead of going up the stairs you turn right and walk through the pots, you will now have access to an area one floor down below you with some goodies in it.

PSN seems to be back, but demons souls servers do not seem to be up. I know they talked about taking them down, does anyone know if they are officially gone now?
haha. These sort of responses is what I'd expect a lot. No offense to praxus07 in any way. I respect your opinion and see that it is definitely not your cup of tea.
I agree.

I got trashed by Vinland a few nights ago with 50,000+ souls in my pocket.

I got cocky, fell down into the dirty swamp water and got eaten alive by the aborted.

Got pissed, tried to run back carelessly, despite knowing better and got killed...thus losing all those souls.

BUT, I went back the next night ready to fight on.

This is definitely not a game for the run and gunner. You need to play it slow, you need to be ready to learn from your mistakes and realize when you need to grind to beat an objective.

I love this game for not only its awesome setting, but the old school difficulty.

Sure they can improve some animations, since I've died about 50% of the time from an animation rather than a true screw up. But its just somethign I take in stride and learn from it and know the limitations of my character and the 'matrix' of the world if you know what I mean.

What was it that Biorr, of the Twin Fangs says?..."Beware the limits of your own power"

whats hard is the pure white tendency crap. im going to have to play another game just to pull it off btw when you do a game plus does the game get even harder? also do you get to keep everything youve found/bought from your previous game?

Yes, and yes. The first new game plus is much harder. After that it's just a little harder each time. If you want plat you'll have to go to NG+++ at least.
Are you kidding? I was totally expecting a platty just for completing it once!
Nope, each boss soul can create up to four things (spell, miracle, item, or a new NPC ability in the case of the Flamelurker soul) and you have to have all of them to get a platinum. Most of them create 3 or less. To get the weapon trophy all you have to do is to have held all the items, so you can cut it down to 2.75 playthroughs if there is someone in soul level range online who will let you hold the insanity catalyst and the blue blood sword.

I like the black and white mechanic, but I hate that you can't go to pure white whenever you want, that it requires a certain number of bosses still remain alive in the world. Being forced to play something in a very specific way for optimal results is why I HATED Oblivion (efficient leveling was a bitch and then the enemies levels up with you too) so I hope they do a better job of it in Dark Souls if they have a similar black/white mechanic.

That and random drops required for certain stones (bladestone specifically) is just a pointless time waster. They ditched random rare drops for weapons and most other equipment, but it was like they were afraid to completely let go of that annoying RPG staple of the rare random drop.

I think I did something stupid.... I beat 4-2 last night. I think the smart thing to do would be to leave it for almost last, as it seems like the best level to co-op farm. I can go back and farm it now, but helping someone else do it as a phantom is less risky, and much more fun. Doh!

You can still go back and help someone else there, you just can't summon other phantoms there. (I think. It's been awhile.)

Almost done, grew to a 100 pages .

the final boss was kind of a dissappointment but the game was more about the journey than the destination. cant wait for the next one heres to hoping they allow ps3 vs xbox games.

Looking for a bit of help (Not physical, but more or less instructions).

Just beat the PWWT Body Form NPC in 1-1. Now im trying to figure out where in the hell to go from there, should i try going through other worlds to get some Ephermal Stones to get PWBT? Or should i just keep playing through Boletaria Castle and just finish it off, THEN worry about getting Pure Black.

Also, does the same rule apply for other worlds? (Get Pure White or Black first, then finish it and go for the other?). Only went for Pure White first because i literally only had to kill 1 boss and i already had it.

It's generally considered harder to obtain PWWT than PBWT so I would say go for white first. Is this your first time playing the game?

I have played before, but screwed myself over in my first 2 playthroughs (Missed some items on the first, and while suiciding in the Nexus, managed to land on a NPC in the second

Lol, I've died in the nexus hundreds of times but never did I land on any NPCs. Was it Stockpile Thomas? I always land like 5 feet away from head.

If you're playing a high leveled character then you can get away with playing though an entire archstone non-stop, otherwise you're better off doing the the individual levels of each archstone sequentially (1-1, 2-1, 3-1, 4-1, 5-1, 1-2 etc.)

Personally, I go to 5-1 and get the blessed mace and take it to 4-1 to make getting the crescent falchion a bit easier. After that, I complete world 2 completely taking the shortcut route in 2-2 to speed up the process. After that I farm the large crystal gecko mine while in PBWT. From there I don't really follow any procedure, I just do whatever feels right. I always leave finishing world 5 for last though, hate that damn place and those plague babies.

Ah ok thanks, definately seemed like i should move on to 2-1 next.

And yeah, it was Thomas XD. I was laughing on the outside and crying on the inside.

I have come close to falling on an NPC from on top of the Nexus, but not hit any. What I have done is walked off the short ledge right next to the sitting Sage Freke, fell 1 foot, and stepped on his head . It counted as a hit so I immediately quit the game through the PS button.

Each time you connect to the Demon's Soul server your world tendencies are averaged to the global world tendency which is a composite of all the other games connected to the network. This is almost always one step below pure white so if you can connect online usually it is just a matter of killing one boss each level to get pure white.

The "proper" way to get pure white is to lower tendency to pure black, kill the primeval demon and the named black phantom of the level (Miralda, Scirvir, Rydell, Satsuki, Selen Vinland) WITHOUT existing to the Nexus, then kill one more boss to get to pure white. As long as you leave one boss alive in each level and you have not yet done the pure black world tendency events, it is possible to attain pure white. On the flipside, pure black can be obtained at any time as long as you have enough stones of E eyes.

If you launch Demon's Souls without signing out of PSN first when you have pure white world tendency in any of the levels, you risk them being downgraded to one step below pure white when your game is averaged against the server. So I wouldn't recommend doing that until you have completed all the white world tendency events for the level you currently have pure white.

---

If you still have pure white in Boletaria palace, head on over to the Dragon's roost in 1-1 near the bridge the red dragon was covering. Both Dragons are gone and you can grab the items. If you have already grabbed all the gear in Miralda's Execution ground (including the armor at the base of the tower and the colorless demon soul on the beam in the middle of the tower) then that is all the white tendency events in Boletarian Palace. I would wait to do the black world tendency events until after you kill penetrator as the primeval demon spawns pretty close to his archstone if you backtrack and it is much easier to backtrack to the Executioner Grounds when all the shortcuts are open.

For Stonefang go for black tendency after you clear out all the tunnels of treasure on the way to flamelurker. What I did was start at the Armored Spider Archstone, fall down to Scirvir, killed him, then jumped to my death to spawn back at the spider archstone (you will forfeit the souls you were carrying). Then I backtracked to ledge above Ed's shop, rode the elevator down to the start of the level, and killed the primeval demon. Finally use flamelurker as the final bump to pure white so that you can grab the Dragon Bone Smasher before you fight Dragon God. Exit to the Nexus with the sword, kill yourself in the Nexus if still in body form, re-enter at Armor spider archstone and drop down to Scirvir to show him the sword, then drop down the rest of the way and kill Dragon God.

Latria I used Maneater as the bump to pure white after doing pure black events. Start in 3-1 to kill black phantom Rydell, and then proceed all the way down to the swamp to kill the primeval demon in 3-2.

Shrine of Storms I used Old Hero as the bump to pure white after doing pure black events. Procedure is much the same as Latria, start at 4-1 to kill Black Phantom Satsuki, then run the rest of the way to the start of 4-2 to kill the primeval demon.

Valley of Defilment, by this point I was fairly confident so I waited to use Saint Astrea as the final bump to pure white after doing pure black events. If in pure black you start at the dirty colossus archstone and back track the black phantom Giant Depraved one which spawns there will always drop a stone of EE when killed. If you have difficulty finding enough stones of EE to do the black tendency events in the other worlds this is a great place to farm them consistently.

Generally I did the pure black events before the second to last boss so in case I screw up somehow (like forgetting to change to soul form after obtaining pure white and then dying) I still have a backup boss to get the final push to pure white.

---

4-1 is usually my first stop after I grab all the pure white gear in Boletarian palace once Phalanx is dead. The crescent falchion is a great low level weapon. Rather than fight the dual katana skeleton guarding it, I toss a soul remains to the side as it runs toward me to distract it, grab the weapon, then jump off the ledge to the ground below. 4-1 is also a great place to farm for souls. Parry and riposte with the crescent falchion to kill the skeletons in one hit and gain a bonus to soul collection. Clear the skeletons to the entrance of the fort, then backtrack, exit, and reenter several times for a quick boost to your soul level.

Lol, he forgives you for something like that because I did it a couple times.

Well thanks for all the help :D.

Managed to get Pure White then Pure Black in Stonefang Tunnel (So i killed Scirvir's Body Form+Got the Pure Stone, Killed Scirvir's BP for the Talisman, and killed the Primeval Demon and got a Colorless Soul).

Though, i didnt take it all the way back up to Pure White, because i heard there was some glitch that might cause the Blacksmith there to dissapear. (Either way, if its not true, i just need to kill the Boss and i should be back to Pure White)

On a side note, Scirvir was a hell of a fight
Doh, there goes your source of heavy arrows, hope you don't use a bow too often as you have to settle for collecting special arrows or buy weaker arrows from some of the other vendors.

FYI, there is a glitch with Dragon God, if his hot breath kills you as hit him with the final blow the game doesn't recognize that you killed him and you won't be able to unlock the seal to the Old One at the end of the game. So I would recommend delivering the final blow with a bow or a magic attack.

Ya, Scirvir is the "toughest" named black phantom to beat in a fight IMO, though Selen and Satsuki are "harder" since they roll away like punk bitches and heal as soon as they are close to death.
Lol, Patches didnt die. Luckily he bounced like a ragdoll off the side of the cliff (Which didnt count as a fatal blow yet), so i had enough time to turn off my PS3 XD.

Finally started playing this for the first time earlier this week... wish I had played it earlier. I'm guessing there is a story somewhere in here but I didn't really pay attention in the beginning. The gameplay is fun though and I find myself just farming stuff at times.

Started off as a wanderer and died a lot but it let me stock up on souls/herbs so by the time I did finish 1-1 I had like 30k souls. Currently lv51 and beat 1-1, 4-1, 2-1, and 1-2. Been pushing dex and using a Crescent Falchion +4 and sticky compound long bow +3 with purple flame shield. Wanted to use the Uchigatana and make it sharp but screwed up upgrading it.

So far the hardest parts seem to be things like red eyed knight and black dual skeletons. The bosses I've fought so far have been the easiest things to fight. Anyway, wondering if anyone has any tips or advice that may be helpful for a first timer. Like I wish I had known about different branches of upgrading before I just randomly upgraded weapons.

I spent last night screaming at 4-1, my soul level is only around 30 though. Maybe I should level up a bit. Getting gangraped by spinning skeletons is one of the most frustrating gaming experiences I've ever had.

My character (temple knight) started out unable to cast magic, and now I'm finding there are golden skeletons that are weak to magic and strong to melee. Do I really need to be able to cast magic to beat this game? Should I stop and level up 20 levels or so?

Kill the croaking fire lizards in 2-1 near the lava pit you have to flood with water to get meltstone (or you might already have one on you as there is one to pick up near the first fire lizard you fight). Combine that with the uchigatana at a blacksmith and it resets the sword to the default level. All ore used to upgrade it is lost though.

Magic is a handy thing to have as miracles are mostly defensive and it doesn't cost that many points in intelligence to get 2 to 3 magic slots. You need intelligence to boost your MP anyway if you are going to use some heavy duty miracles.

A decent shield I find is quite helpful in dealing with the rolling skeletons. When they pop out of their roll for a quick strike, their weapons will bounce off giving you an opening to attack. Or if you can get good with parrying, you can parry and then riposte them for what is usually a one hit kill. If you are pulling too many rolling skeletons at a time, try equipping the thief's ring as that will decrease the range at which enemies can detect and make it easier to grab the attention of one at a time.

Eh, the story doesn't matter in this game. You'll be having too much fun to care anyway.

The Skeleton's in 4-1 go down like nothing if you use Magic. My Soul Level is barely 35, and i can still practically 1 hit KO them with Flame Toss, or take them out in 2-3 hits with the Crescent Falchion you can find in that level.

Though, from time to time i still get ganked while trying to parry one and get killed

Check out the Demon's Souls wiki - it is a great source of information for this game -it's the one at wikidot. Some of the topics you'll want to read about include:

Upgrade paths, including upgrades that only Ed in 2-1 can do
World tendency and character tendency and related events/mobs
Crystal lizards with PBWT (pure black world tendency)
Body/Soul form, to enable/prevent invasions and co-op
Level range for co-op/PvP (10% of soul level +10 levels)
NPCs vendors you'll want to see frequently (Patches/singing lady)
Equipment weight and its effect on your roll speed
Must-have spells/miracles (Evacuate, Anti Magic Field)
Stone of Ephemeral Eyes farming - to get PBWT or summon help

For now, I'd recommend you go to world 4-1 and pick up the Talisman of God near the two archers standing at the top of a wall early in the level, and get enough souls to learn the miracle 'Evacuate'. This miracle will speed up your farming runs immensely. There's also a Compound Long Bow and a Crescent Falchion +1 sword in 4-1. Certain enemies are highly resistant to physical attacks, so this Falchion is useful early on.

If you go to Gamefaqs, there's a great FAQ written by a guy named EWGF. He gives a lot of advice on how to distribute your soul level points to strengthen your character for specific 'builds', offers advice on weapon selection, and specific attack strategies for these weapons/builds. Even if you never intend to PvP, it's a good read - you'll learn a lot about how the game works.

Another good piece of advice would be to suicide (mostly in the Nexus) after a boss fight to prevent invasions in areas where you have not killed the boss. If you stay in soul form, put on your Cling Ring to increase your HP. The Thief's Ring is useful, as it makes you invisible to enemies once you're beyond a certain radius. A good bow will go a long way if you're concentrating on PvE. I personally used the Compound Sticky Long Bow +5, but there are bows that have lower stat requirements. Stay away from crossbows, as they have no aiming reticle.

One last, important piece of advice - do NOT attack or roll into NPCs, as they will attack you every time they see you for the remainder of your current playthrough. It's very easy to put down your controller and activate an L2 or R2 attack inadvertently, or hit L1 or R1 by mistake and hit an important NPC with a magic attack. If you do this, the only way to fix it is to kill all bosses, then go below the Nexus to complete the game. Keep in mind that your second playthrough will beef up all enemies in the game substantially. Subsequent playthroughs will only slightly increase enemy strength, which would be capped by the 8th or 9th playthrough.

Ha, didn't even know I could learn magic until I was almost lv60. Didn't know the guy was on the other side. It has been helpful, just glad I picked up that Crescent Falchion +1 or else world 4 would have been a lot harder. I didn't even know they were weak to magic.

I ended up using my meltstone on my bow after realizing I screwed up my uchigatana thinking it had to be at +0 too... haha. So I really screwed up there but eventually figured it out. Got a couple extra uchigatana drops anyways and have a +3 sharp now. Although I don't think I'll be getting a +5 any time soon since those chunks and pure bladestone are so hard to find. Wish I could just combine shards to make a chunk, I have so many.

Thanks for the advice Elixirboy. I read up a bit on the gamefaqs guide you mentioned and it helps tremendously. Now that I know about the diminishing returns and stuff I have a better idea of what to do with my build.

I did find out most of that stuff just by playing but have been using the wiki there for the crystal lizards since some of them are so easy to miss and they drop important stuff at times. I did 4-1 as my 2nd level so I managed to find all the nice items and it helped plenty.

Learned Evacuate and God of Wrath. Although I did accidentally use God of Wrath near all the NPCs in the Nexus and didn't realize how big of an area it hit so I ended up hitting all of them... but I unplugged my PS3 quick.

Only thing I have no idea about is the whole online aspect and all this invasion nonsense. Played a lot in offline mode and when I am online, I never see anyone or anything so have no idea about it.

Currently, lv75 and beat all of world 2 and 4 and half of 1. All the levels I play now are pretty easy to breeze through, my worst enemy is falling. Are there any hard bosses in this game? Seems like the AI of bosses isn't amazing or they're handicapped. The Phalanx, Tower Knight, Old Hero, Armor Spider, Adjudicator, Dragon God, Storm King, and Vanguard were all terribly easy. The Flamelurker was easy as well but his AI seemed a little better since he actually managed to hit me, but he still got stuck on things so often.

If you want more of a challenge, you can start setting worlds to PBWT and go after the named Black Phantom NPCs. Beat one of them, and you get their weapon. BP Scirvir in 2-2 gives you the Talisman of Beasts, which allows you to cast both miracles and spells. Miracle assist is very low, so don't use this if you use Wrath of God. BP Selen Vinland in 5-2 is challenging, as long as you don't use cheap tactics like Soulsucker or one of the Cloud spells. Her Blind sword is like the Large Sword of Moonlight (King's Field FTW) in that it hits right through shields.

There are other benefits of having worlds in pure black - one of them being the appearance of the Primeval Demons. They are huge bugs as large as a bus, and killing one gives you a 75ish% chance of getting a Colorless Demon's Soul. Blacksmith Ed can upgrade certain unique weapons (up to +5 max) with these souls, so don't waste them. I saved these souls for the Dragon Bone Smasher, and the Dark Silver Shield.

The other benefit of having a world in pure black is the appearance of generic black phantom enemies. The most notable is the dual katana skeleton in 4-2 on an outside ledge right before the last Reaper. The best way to get there is to start at the Old Hero's archstone and work your way backwards. Most people use Soulsucker to get a chance at a pure bladestone, but you can't learn that spell on your first playthrough. You might try knocking him off the ledge with a large sword (Meat Cleaver, Dragon Bone Smasher), then 'Load Profile' to get the loot. If you're feeling froggy, just fight him straight up.

There's also a non-BP dual katana skeleton in 4-2 that can drop a pure bladestone. At the beginning of the level, kill the first Reaper and go through the doorway on the left on the ground floor. Go up a bit to find a secret door that you open by swinging your weapon. He's in that outside area - if you have PBWT, killing the crystal lizard out there can get you a pure darkmoonstone. If it drops junk, run back to the flag, and Load Profile for another crack at the lizard. Past the lizard is the Primeval Demon for this world.

You can get PBWT any time you want, but getting PWWT is harder, or impossible (if the named BP NPC and Primeval Demon are already dead) once the world has been set to pure black. You should check the wiki to see if there are any pure white events you want to do before setting a world to pure black.

To set a world to pure black, be in body form (stone of ephemeral eyes), and suicide in that world. You may have to do this up to seven times before you get there. Note that world tendency changes won't show up in the menu screen until you go back to the Nexus. In the world/character tendency menu screen, a world is in pure black when it matches the color of that broken sixth archstone.

The easiest way to get ephemerals is to kill Saint Urbain. Make sure you learn Anti Magic Field before you do it - that miracle will make the squidlike Mindflayers in world 3 harmless. I kill him in 4-2 after Patches pushes me down that hole. If you kill him in the Nexus, his lackeys will fight you to the death, and you won't be able to change your miracle(s) for the rest of your playthrough. Once Urbain is dead, the BP down in Patches' pit will appear every time you go down there, and he will drop a stone every time. Doing these stone runs is like torture (it's not difficult, just boring), but doing them without Evacuation would be unbearable.

Oh, I wasn't saying the BP NPCs and stuff weren't challenging, just that none of the bosses were. Found it kind of odd that NPCs and regular enemies were harder than bosses.

I finally ended up finishing all the worlds a few days ago. Haven't dropped down in the hole to finish the game yet though. Trying to collect all the items I missed and fight all the BP NPCs and hit any crystal lizards that respawned. Screwed up on getting Magic Sword Makoto and the Venerable sage set I think because I was playing online and the stupid online WT wasn't pure white. Didn't know about that at the time either so have to play through again if I want those.

Still around lv80 since I got tired of farming and just wanted to finish the rest of the game. Still using a +3 sharp uchigatana and +4 crescent falchion since all the crystal lizards for those are gone and farming the stones is a pain. Going to wait until I start a new game to upgrade. Did manage to get my bow to +5 though and got Dark Silver Shield +2.

Ended up running into some invasions too. Had no idea what was going on at first but figured it out now and it's pretty fun to be invaded. I was doing 3-2 and like 5 people in a row invaded and I kept killing them besides the last guy who fell off haha. Done a few invasions myself and been pretty successful except the one time I invaded some guy with blue phantoms and I got a group beatdown. Only thing that sucks is that it seems like the online population feels kind of low at times. Wish I had played this when it came out.

Oh and I missed the stupid Mausoleum Key from Ostrava... didn't realize he died in 1-4 because people kept invading my game while I was trying to fight the blue dragon and then when I was trying to kill the BP. That was before I knew anything about online/invasions so yeah, it sucks to not be able to open that door.

Did you end up fighting a computer controlled Old Monk or did you fight a player controlled Old Monk as the final boss? The reason you probably had so many invasions in 3-2 is if you drop a stone in Latria you can take control of the final boss of the level to fight another player. If the Old Monk was using claws, then it was computer controlled.

Good news is if you already got the pure clearstone from Ostrava in your first playthrough (I assume you did since he died in 1-4) then when you start a new game+ you can gank him immediately and take the key.

Most of the duelers who play for PVP are in the 110-120 soul level range so if you want more interaction I would recommend getting into that soul level range.

Really don't know how to procede with this game. I decided to try out being a barbarian, since they have some pretty good starting stats, but have been stuck on 1-1 for a couple of days now. Bought armor with, bought a new weapon, and now it seems the npc's really aren't dropping anything other than a herbs, at even that is extremely rare. No fire bombs, no turpentine, so I have yet to kill more than a few of the boss' squidgy bubbles before repeatedly dying myself.

Decided to also try out the Thief character, and so far so good, got through 1-1 without any issues, and just started the prison level. Only problem is I was invaded by a black phantom, twice in five minutes. First time I killed the guy, second time I was killed. Is there any way to stop people from interfering in my solo play? Not a fan of anything miltiplayer, so really don't want random people messing up my game, especially if I'm an hour in to the level. Luckily I had just started.

Only living characters can have their games invaded. So once you're dead, you won't be bothered anymore. Many players actually choose to suicide in the Nexus after each boss kill to avoid invaders (and to avoid changing the world tendency by dying in an actual level).

Honestly, I preferred playing as dead anyway. You deal more damage and you're quieter, and with a cling ring and a thief ring you can seriously get your ninja on.

Ah brainfart, forgot about being Dead. Then again, 100% of my current gameplay has been dead and Offline XD.

Looking forward to finishing off World 4 and 5, then i can play Online freely (Seeing as i already have most of the Pure Black/Pure White stuff).

4-1 is the last really hard level IMHO. After that, things got easy, I found. I think I spend almost 30 hours by the time I was done 4-1, but the whole game only took me 60. I think I was 40 or 50 by the time I beat it. You should be able to blocket and kill the skeletons. Use a peircing sword, not a slashing one.

If you are going to level up, do it co-op style, by setting down your blue-eye-stone. Even if you don't like MP, you will get souls way faster, and don't lose them if you die. And MP in DS is still a pretty lonely experience... in an awesome way.

Are you one of those @ss-hats who has nothing to do but invade the same person's game over and over, and then send PSN-messages saying 'tks 4 teh s0uls lsr'? Yeah, I am a little bitter. I get invasion is part of the game, but it is annoying to have same guy invade over and over again.
