Destiny (PS3/PS4) Official Thread

I started playing arkham city on my ps3...Its not quite as good as the first one so far. 

I did 28 poe on 2 characters and got one symbiotic helmet for hunter that I've had like 50 times, but its the first exotic drop since launch for me in 28.

I'm going to do one more weekly and 28 then everyone should have enough space for the IB bounties...going to try and get at least 3 etheric light...I only have a few and I want to make some sets of 34 armor that look cool...like the titan fwc striped gear.

City has a more "open" approach to the narrative, which I initially found to be a huge step down from Asylum. Since you can choose which side-missions you tackle in whatever order you want, I felt the story didnt flow quite right (meeting certain characters, or events occur that seem out of place).

I generally don't recommend knocking out the side-missions all at once, and especially NOT after the story is done (or mostly done).

On topic: Three Nightfalls and shards, 3 POE 32 and shards, but I've been having a blast with PVP/crucible, nearly halfway done with Rumble wins :)

Whats the point in doing a 28? The only time i did one was when it was required to do one so i could do the higher 32, 34, and 35. I havent done a 28 since.

I have the Aetheon HM CP. anyone want to do it tomorrow evening? i have 2 people total so far. Thinking around 8-8:30pm cst unless people wan t to do it earlier. 

 
So yesterday I fired up Destiny after a month out of home, and decided to go straight to play some IB matches, it was...a lagfest as expected. This is nothing new since IB ever appeared in Destiny and it's still not fixed, so much for "we listen to what you say" bs.
 
IB update...up to almost 4 on my titan, 3 on my warlock, and almost 3 on my hunter...hope to get all to 4 and titan to 5 tonight...but will need glimmer dammit...need chests x3, jolders, and pulse rifle. Nope probably not going to make it. I predict 3 on hunter, then maybe 5 on titan and thats it. I need more etheric light, but everyone seems done with POE.

Oh and 7 sometimes I do 28 POE cause no one is on to do 32 or 34 and 28 is matchmaking like weekly heroic...and fast and easy

 
I'll run any PoE if you need it. got my Cipher back and was running a few 28's this morning. Got a purple primary engram drop, turned into a(nother) Last Word. I guess that counts as 3 exotics total for me from PoE. Still not close to my 7 Her Benevolence's.

 
I got my Titan to rank 3 last night and Hunter to 2 this morning. Just need to get Hunter to 3 and I'm done with this Iron Banner. Leveled my new Warlock from 11-22 through regular Crucible.

The only reason I'm playing IB is for easy Etheric Lights and for some Shotgun and Machine Gun drops. I'm also holding out hope for a Hawkmoon drop, but I know it's just going to be a damn Thunderlord again. I just need to get my Hunter from rank 3 to 5 by tonight and I'll be done.

I'm in the same boat as well. I run the 28 PoE's because of the easy matchmaking. I also haven't played much ToO since I prefer to game with people on my friends list rather than use LFG for those three-player teams, but it seems less and less people are playing lately. For Raids & NFs I don't mind using LFG. Maybe I'm just weird like that.

Got my Warlock and Hunter up to 5 over the weekend. And out of sheer boredom, started on my titan even though I can't get any rewards (since I bought it all at reset). So now I'm just completing IB bounties to hold for the next event. In reality only going to hold onto the trickier ones like hmg spree, Iron Wrath and melee kills. figure 3 won't get in the way.

Got one Crota kill outta the way and NO black hammer. Two more shots before reset and I'll probably do'em solo. It's not like I got much else to do anyway.

Shoulda been there since day 1... but Bungie's got a perverted sense of exclusivity. They don't like seeing too many people completing the higher level activities.

 
I suck at pvp and I get iron wrath all the time without trying...really stop thinking about it and just play defensively. Dont be afraid to get into cover or run if you are getting shot...especially with thorn.

I got my titan up to 5 and bought the pulse rifle but I need glimmer for the etheric light, and chest, and jolders...whats the currrent fastest glimmer method?

 
I'd like to get the etheric light at least on my hunter, but I dont think I'll have time to get the glimmer and chests on the other two...

I'm down for POE 32-35, VoG HM, Crota NM/HM over the next three days.

I've never done POE 35 or Crota raid since I just came back to the game and the DLC is new to me.  I have beaten 32/34 POE which was really fun!

I have a 34 Warlock, 33 Titan, and 31 Hunter.  Though I could make the Titan 34 and the hunter 33 with a tiny bit of work if need be.  Maxed Gally and IB and other weapons.

Played a lot of IB this week, got 2 characters to 5 and going to try to get my other to at least 3 if I can get home before the reset.  I generally go 1.0+ every game, most 2.0.

As someone with an unnaturally horrible sense of direction, the best part of that Hard Atheon run last night was that NinjaTurtle guy yelling "left" or "right" as we went through the portals. Valuable stuff. 

and I realized as we were finishing that we were only 2 members away from having a full team from the same clan. Full fireteam-clan raid run, that's a trophy, right?

 
I ended up grinding some glimmer in exclusion zone then running a 32 POE and being blessed with a gem for $5000 bucks at the end. Ran my hunter up to 3 by finishing a couple bounties and ended up with 4 etheric lights, titan arms, jolders, and pulse rifle. At that point it was late and I didnt feel like grinding glimmer for the titan chest or getting my other two up to 4 for chests. That pulse rifle is pretty tight right out of the gate. I was tearing down those yellow cable on the exclusion zone. Its fun to use but not a super fast kill. I did use the VOG pulse in IB on my hunter and it was super fun to use...since I'm never getting to mercury to get a messenger :(

 
Variks has boots! Gotta run a 32 with one of my max characters and get the core to use on +42 boots for my Level 22 Warlock.

Taniks Nightfall is gonna suuuuuuuuuuck with arc burn.
 
Wednesday evening I plan on running a VOG HM and Thursday will be a Crota HM for those who want to join. I will send a message to the CAG people PSN as well. There are 4 slots open for each event. I know a few people wanted to run them this week. Tonight, I am going to do the weekly and NF.

 
Nightfalls werent that hard actually. Did all three with a two man fireteam. The game trolled us, by giving me The Ram and him the Bones of Eao. So i ended up getting what he wanted and he got what i wanted. It was all downhill from there, got Bonesaw Oscillator and Legendary engram that turned into a legendary rocket launcher. :(

Think im gunna start Batman tonight.

Literally the exact same for me (4 Mars chests; Skolas) except one thing: The thing says I haven't beaten Crota on hard! I have done that with you guys more than once. What a ripoff.
 
I checked my status on the new challenge and i already have everything done. So im just trying to log in to get my emblem. PSN wont let me log in. Hopefully its in the special packages lady, and i can get it on all three characters.

Just now? I haven't touched destiny since last week...and it feels great =P

I have no idea what the triumph thing is until you guys mentioned it. Did they post that somewhere? I only need to get 9 more golden chests.

Should have been beat Crota/Atheon on hard 30 times ... amirite?

Hmm, to obtain my Moments of Triumph emblem I still need to complete a PoE 35 ( :pray: ), Crota HM (wuh what?), and find the last two golden chests (easy-peasy). 

I finally got around to doing something besides IB and solo'd two NFs right before the reset with each taking about ~20 min. Super easy with solar burn. I was rewarded with duplicates of Light Beyond Nemesis and a purple engram that became my 4th Red Death, sharded both. 

Does anyone have a good method for obtaining/farming weapon parts relatively fast? I probably shouldn't have played around with weapon forging as much as I did for a few perfect rolls.

 
Got my first solo Crota kill last night :D/ (level 30, of course :whistle2:$ )...

still no Black Hammer :bomb: . Instead I get another HoC :wall: .

Still thinking about that this morning :whistle2:|

Very cool, but they should have done something similar with the controller.

 
Huh, it must need you to do the full Crota Hard mode, because i've beaten him on hard, but have maybe run the full raid less than a handful of times.

(for the record, 6 chests, Skolas, Crota HM).

 
I'm part of the 9 chest club as well. I stopped looking for those after I grabbed all the ones on earth because I out leveled the gear they gave. I only grabbed the ones I ran into doing missions the rest of the way. I guess Bungie just really wants me to go grab them. I'm just glad getting to the Lighthouse wasn't a requirement since Bungie screws me whenever I get close.

Totally forgot about that. Now that would have been something if it had been part of the requirement :shock: .

Giving how big the backlog must be for some of the guys here, I am really surprised how hooked Destiny has us.

 
I'm basically just doing Nightfalls and a bit of trials each week now. If it wasn't for the fact that I want to get to the Lighthouse just, so I can say that the BS didn't break me and the fact that I have a good time just talking and playing with all of the cool people I have met I probably wouldn't even bother with trials. Honestly the social aspect appeals more to me than the game itself at this point. I have actually spent more time playing Wolfenstein and a couple other backlog games than I have playing Destiny lately.
 
After not getting any exotics from POE after week one last week I did 3 28 and one 32 and got at least 3 exotics. I already had them all but still...someday I'll get some helmets from this damn expansion...its crazy that I did like 20-30 engrams and all the nightfalls and stuff and still nada.
