Destiny (PS3/PS4) Official Thread

Just had one of the most lopsided matches I've ever seen in skirmish.

We won 5000-250. Lowest person on our team had a K/D of 11.0. Highest on their team was a 0.08.

Omni and I managed to help one of our other friends get to the Lighthouse for the first time today. We had been trying to help him and one other guy get there on and off for a while. We finally pulled it off and we did it in style winning 7 straight games. We also all got hate mail from one team we beat along the way. They invited me to their chat after the game, so I joined to see what they had to say. They said I was a teabagging fag who only won because I used Thorn even though we won 5-2, I never tea bagged, and 2 of them were using Thorn as well. I just laughed and told them to have a nice day. Then we all get a message from one of them with a picture of a girl who was a bit too big for the outfit she was in saying we all love gay porn and a few other things. One of my buddies responded by asking them if their mom knew they were posting her pictures online again and they had no response and then I reported them for griefing. The only thing I can think of that set them off was that I chucked 2 grenades towards their orbs after I killed two of them while I was in radiance to win the final round. That was just because I thought one of them had res though and I wanted to get an easy nade on him if he popped it. I'm not really sure what their issue was. It gave us a good laugh.

Messed around with share factory for like 10 minutes. It chopped off a second or two off two clips but still pretty cool for minimal effort. These are all clips from this weekends trials. What I edited so far anyways.

That was dope though. Post that on reddit and you'll have a dozen people telling you that you would never have won without a shotgun or some stupid shit. Congrats though. Barely even let that game get to heavy.

Mostly shite so far. The try-hards (snicker) usually come out in fireteams of 3+, but so far the overall player-base seems....lack-luster? Randoms at least.

That's what I was going to do but I'm not going to sit still while someone is in my face with a shotty. So I went for the finish. I always push with radiant skin. 95% of teams can't take me down if I use it right. I'm always putting pressure. Most teams panic when you do so. I've always been a really shitty medic in most multiplayer games, I'm a killer lol. It's not normally even in my thought process to revive when someone is on the radar near an orb.

How do I get on the list for a trials try next weekend dudes?

I have lots of medic medals lol, my main is my hunter I hang back and pick off everything and then advance...this is probably why I'm not so good at trials.

I'm in the top 10% on my hunter for average kill distance despite never sniping LOL...Stats are interesting.

My main gun on all classes is autorifle...I hope I'm going to be a god come the buff...

Matchmaking pisses me off so fucking much lately. I'm so tired of getting matched with people who get 50-100 points a game, constantly rush, don't use team chat, and play like god damn morons. The only time I ever get paired with good people is when I seek them out here, reddit, or LFG.

I can try to help you this coming weekend. Hopefully its not burning shrine. I kind of want some thieves den again. Since we cant have vanilla maps in ToO apparently.

 
Out of all the MP games I've played, I think destiny is the only one where I actually don't mind most of the DLC maps. Playing halo and gears in the past, I always hated DLC maps and would avoid playing them. But I like most of the TDB and HOW maps.

Shores of time is always my favorite though.

Save room for Arjay, he should be online by then. Still hasnt gone to the lighthouse. Personally im hoping its pantheon. I really like that map, and i would have gone to the lighthouse the first time trials had that map with arjay if we would have just got fresh cards that one time. :wall:

So yeah there is nothing to do in destiny. The only thing i have to do this week is help Deuterioum beat skolas and help arjay get flawless raider. Other than that i dont know. Trials is selling helmets this week but i dont like any of the stats on them. Though i guess a discipline and strength hunter helmet is better than pure strength.

Honestly i thought Gears 3 DLC maps were much much better than the maps that came with the game. Especially the DLC that had weather elements. Those maps were good. Gears 2 also had some really good DLC maps.

 
Count me in for flawless raider and lighthouse if there is room, I actually get this weekend off so should have time to attempt getting to the lighthouse again  haha

 
Yea daver you should be on this weekend. If I can get one of my friends to help it should be near guaranteed. 

Also strim is up. Playing some control I think.

I like Gears DLC maps way more than Destiny's DLC maps. I dont hate them I just prefer vanilla maps.

I still need flawless raider, so hit me up if I'm online when you go for it. I can try to help people with trials too. I'm not quite on Stellar's level though.
 
The hardest part of flawless raider is cheesing the 2nd bridge part. So people need to be able to jump up to the area where you can despawn the thrall. This is probably the part that takes the most time also.

So arjay, cartslave, langdon, daver are all up flawless. Leaves a spot for me and jimmy. Usually we do it with just 3 people, less risk of dying, but id be up for trying it with a 6 man team, or even doing it more than once if everyone isnt online at the same time.

Communities include a message board with general discussion, screenshots shared by players, and the ability to join parties / games. If you want to tackle a big multiplayer raid, but don’t have enough friends available, this could be a great way to connect with other players who are looking for the same thing.

After reading this again it sounds like this could be an LFG type of thing. I was hoping we could create destiny board with only people on our friends list. So save us from seeing messages pop up blocking our radar.

Does anyone want to do the raids tonight at 8 (VOG and then crotesmgoats) like usual or are you just going to do the small teams and try flawless...Personally it seems like having more people just makes it more likely someone will die. I dont have it but figured it would be a cake walk after the next dlc makes us golden gods vs crota.

If you guys just want to do the flawless raider thing its cool I can take the night off.

I just lost interest in Borderlands 2 and im playing Gears of War Multiplayer when im not playing Destiny. Ive never really been into MGS, though it does look cool may have to pick it up when its cheap

When I got it done was with a Hunter and my Titan. I distracted Boomers/Ghorn Crota, other guy beat the crap out of crota. Took 1 sword to get the trophy popping.

Did only 1 weekly last night (no burns is so painful) so still lots to do, but almost being done with Batman (what a story!) and DAI (just got my castle) has been keeping me from going harder to get stuff done in Destiny. Still I think just going for coins while they are still so obtainable as a bunch is a good bet

Borderlands is more enjoyable when playing in groups (send me an invite if you ever want to give it another chance), and for MGSV you should definitely get into the series it is really amazing!

I just bought a Xbox one so the only game that I have is HMCC :( let me know you xbox gemertags to add you and maybe we can play some halo 5 when it comes out!

 
My backlog is getting to be ridiculous on ps4 alone I have so many games I haven't touched like batman and the witcher. Now with ttk and classes I doubt I will have anytime haha maybe after this year when I graduate it will be possible to get caught up
 
So the new raid is unlocked the friday following the release. That is sooner than i thought. But man, the end of that stream, i thought all the live viewers were going to get something by logging in right away. That was disappointing. They hyped me up only to crush my expectations because i dont follow any of those people who came to demo TTK DLC. So i have no shot in getting that Destiny PS4. LOL

The Court of Oryx looked pretty cool. I can see a few of us spending a few hours in there helping each other out. But idk if it will get boring as fast as POE did. I guess it all depends on if the rewards are worth playing it over and over.

Yeah, my backlog has gotten kinda stupid already for the PS4 and X1, all due to Destiny.  And I've been trying to be careful about buying stuff during bargain sales only.  Thing is... if I'm gonna waste time and BS for a while, I'd rather be doing it in Destiny.

Rare Replay is really the only one I seem to go back to because of the little bite-size challenges it has.

Right now, I only have Super Mario Maker, TTK,  Xenoblade Chronicles X and SW Battlefront lined up as my gaming purchases. 

I'm passing on everything else since I doubt I'll get to it anytime soon.  Hell, I don't know if I'll even get to these games (besides TTK)considering how much time I've sunk into Destiny.

Anyway,  got my 3 NF runs done.  Love it when Rockets McD-Face rolls around since it's easy for me to solo that one.  BH the tank from the cliff entrance, then LDR McD-Face from the roof top.

Got Strange Coins, Sunbreakers and Pest Control Matrix.

Did some Dragon strikes and nothing.  Ran some PvP and had a Hardlight drop.  Pretty tame night really.  Only drama came when I lost a Hawkmoon that was sitting in my postmaster.  Basically one to many strikes pushed it out, oh well.

 
Hope it's easy for us to get 3 fire teams into the Court of Oryx. It would be lame if it matched you up with 2 other random teams. I want 9 of us in their lining up our tokens for a turn at loot.

 
I like what I saw from the TTK stream today. I'm pretty satisfied with what's been revealed so I'll most likely pre-order before the weekend hits. I'm all in, not that there was much doubt due to Destiny's grasp on my soul.

I finished another Crota HM solo super early this morning but still no Crux. I did however finally get my first Hawkmoon as a drop! Good grief... just about a year late though. 

Does anyone know if the Hawkmoon and Monte Carlo are going to receive year 2 versions? I figure there's a decent chance considering they were PS exclusive weapons for a limited time. Also, what's the point of nerfing Gjallarhorn, Black Hammer, and Ice Breaker if they don't have year 2 equivalents? I don't quite understand that unless there's going to be someway later to boost their damage/level in the future.
