Sorry. I ended up having to do stuff and couldn't actually get on til around 10:30 Central. By then, I knew I was too tired for any Nightfall or PoE. Barring any more unforeseen complications, I could play tonight.
 
Its ok the random dude was so thankful and excited to complete that thing. He said he had the bounty for months and did the void stuff during IB because he finally got a void shotgun. He was a 32 but seemed very fresh. Had no idea what to expect just knew he died last time he tried. He kept dying so I showed him the spot you can snipe from up on the rock and he kept falling off LOL.

I told him what was going happen and how to clear the room, then shoot phogoth until adds spawn, then clear the adds, rinse repeat, and the target is in the 3rd drop ship. Easy peasy. I remember doing that shit as a 28 to help someone and it was hella hard!

 
I bought found engrams to try and get Purifier Robes. Should've just bought one at a time, because the first one I decrypted gave me what I wanted. Then the third one gave me another set. At least I got Alpha Lupi for my Titan and Lucky Raspberry for my Hunter since I somehow didn't have either of those.
 
Got Skolas last night with Jimmy. A very good first run considering how crazy it seems for others, an 1hr and 34 mins and we were out. Almost had him down on the first try using the BH method, but he teleported. Second time I never stopped shooting, and the other buddy went Ghorn ballistic at the end. We still had like 15 seconds on the mine after he was down.

Got an exotic bounty from the 34 run too, so a very good night. Finally got Skolas out of the way and will not be back until I am 36 =P

Now jus gotta do my other PoE runs and then its all  ToO until I get all the helmets (at least Titan and Warlock)

Got another Skolas kill last night. Quick and painless since he wasn't being a total douche.

But got jack from killing him. Had to open the big chest in order to get 1 Elder Cipher and the ship. No shader though

And have yet to get an elemental weapon drop either.

Tried judgement's chance and got a weapon that got dismantled (don't even remember what it was)

Yup. They're also readjusting the enemy spawns to come out a more predictable time frames as well as the make-up of enemy waves.

My take...

-no more 1 minute Skolas kills

-you'll have to deal with at least one set of mines while Skolas is still alive and crotating

-guessing there will be fewer majors (which they'll make up for by implementing more modifiers)

Looks like I'll need to get my Skolas runs in before the hot fix (and inevitable clusterfuck by Bungie). If anyone still has to do some, let me know. We can find a time to get them done this weekend.

Each tick from the cluster grenades triggered the "more energy from kills" perk (ashes to something; on the helmet), instead of each KILL. So that swarm of 12 mini-bombs from the grenade? Each one that merely detonates on an enemy (alive OR dead!), gives you super meter which effectively means you get 1 super / grenade.

Had 5 LDR's prior to HoW at one point: 3 arc, 1 void, 1 solar

Ran out of space so had to dismantle a several weapons when I made the decision to crush my main titan and make a hunter.  Part of my thinking in crushing the void and solar LDR's was the fact that I would eventually ascend Praedyth's Revenge to have a max void sniper and then there was Black Hammer and Ice Breaker to take the place of the solar.

Like I knew high-impact snipers would be so vital in the Skolas fight.  Had to re-roll one of my Efrideet's Spear just to get that Void sniper.

 
Wait. Field scout was removed from SNIPER RIFLES?!

So Firefly/Field-Scount/Surplus Efrideets are no longer even possible to get?

Considering when I bought my 2 spares (to get that aforementioned roll), I couldn't even continue to re-roll them since Saladhead was already gone.

Just...fuck you, Bungie.

 
Trials maps are getting progressively worse. Is it so hard to pick a map that doesn't favor one side over the other. This weeks map is the worse, Bravo side is basically fish in a barrel while Alpha side have a plethora of options to flank, camp, and rush. That and the broken range of felwinter's lie. I'm probably going to get witcher and stay off destiny for a while (a week).

Eh, I'm just done with trials. After the last patch, my grimoire was awarded so that's all I wanted. None of the guns are really that good, and I got the hand cannon already to add to my collection. Plus finding a good group to do it with is a pain in the ass.
 
So I beat Skolas and got an elder cypher...sort of. The elder bounty is not in one of my available bounty slots but Variks is telling me to pick a weapon. Only problem is that I cannot select a weapon. The "complete" button does not do anything and I can only dismiss it. The bounty is not in my postmaster either (even though their is an available slot). So basically its Destiny being Destiny.

You might be screwed, I don't think there is a known fix for this yet. You'll have to get used to seeing that green exclamation point.

 
Anyone up for PoE today need 3x32 for bootz...will do 34 as well. 35? well maybe.

I want the Trials pulse rifle but the rest I dont care...I dont even care that much for the armor now that I've seen it all. I prefer the new exotic helmets I cant seem to get.

Matt and I did 2 Nightflalls with dirty lfg randoms last night...Got 12 coins and another hardlight...

That green exclamation point is what bugs me the most. I wish it just didn't drop at and I can move on. One of the other people in my party ended up getting two. Im thinking the bug might be that he got mine in his bounty slots but the game still prompts me at Variks. Thus.....I'm screwed. Oh well. I give up on trying to get upset with Destiny. Now I just smile and laugh at how fucking glitched it is.

I wish you could just dismantle a trials passage and it would just reset the progress, instead of having to go back to the reef to get a new one.

I think reviving warlocks break trials. I mean the whole objective of the game is to kill the other team, and revive your teammates. So warlocks can just revive themselves if they have a super, breaking the rules. I know its probably only going to happen one round out of the match, but still it defeats the rules that wich trials is built around.

I got a cipher from POE and deleted it since i had all three weapons already. Now Variks always has a ! over his head like i need to visit him but he doesnt do anything.

I need one more 32, but for my Warlock which I finally got to 20 last night, then instantly to 30. Don't know if 30 with max VoC, Ice Breaker and a rocket launcher would be of any help. If not, I'll go back to Petra missions until I can unlock 28.

 
I'd be up for doing the Prison of Elders if we can set up a certain time. I want those sweet rewards and do have spare keys. But otherwise, I'll be delightfully dipping my digital dong into the delicious nether regions of Tamriel.

Well I still need to get my 3 Helmets from trials, but the guys I play with are not doing that well. At some point I had a 6.0 K/D on a match we won 5-1. I am no PvP hero or amazing player, but seriously need 1 freaking good team to get those freaking wins :bs:

And yup had to go against a whole team of Warlock that went to mercury. They destroyed us and the only round we won was a the one where I somehow res with my warlock and took the whole other team out (no fuck kidding), regales of the loss that felt pretty good and got a message with compliments for that kill from the other team I'll try to upload the video later.

So yeah 3 warlock is pretty much an instant loss

 
Another Skolas kill last night and just barely made it. Took all my rockets and 2 fusion nades but he went down... still no weapon drop.

Did get another cipher.

Also did a quick trials attempt and got the helmet for my Warlock :D/ . Only other one I really want is the titan helmet. The hunter helmet with pure strength... meh. Not gonna kill myself to get it.

Did you have an empty bounty slot when the cipher dropped???

I think that's the glitch you ran into. They were s'pose to fix it but it's still borked.

Only way to avoid the issue is to make sure you have at least one empty bounty slot prior to it dropping

Yup. But all he has to do is play thru a 28 PoE. He doesn't need to finish his storyline to get into it.

He would need to finish the storyline if he wants to be the leader initiating the PoE run

 
I still need 2x32...and 34 I guess...but really I want the bootz. 32 should have match making...shit is easy. I'll just do lfg I guess if no one is on.

Did you end up playing any of those? The whole time I was on, my friend list said you were watching Netflix, so I didn't want to bother you.
 
You can send me an invite and I'll get it on my phone. I was watching netflix on ps3 after doing some yard work. I might be able to play later on.

 
After struggling to put two wins together in ToO all morning, we finally got on a roll this afternoon. We went 6-0 and still had the loss boon. Just like last week we get fucked hard. First team we go against beats us because they were just better. Second team we get are laggy as hell. So we ended up losing to a laggy ass scrub team. Then after we get our first loss the game once again, just like last week, gives us two teams that are easier than shit. We wipe the floor with them and get our 8th package. Im ready to just call it in this week. I dont like this map, and im seriously getting sick of ToO. Something always happened when im 6-0 with the loss boon still in tact. Then after we get a loss on the card the game decides to feed noobs to us.

I am immensely curious if Bungie's matchmaking for Osiris still utilizes a system where teams on a loss streak will get matched with lower "skill level" groups, because I know your pain.

Hell, last night Frosty & I ended up getting matched against the same fireteam twice in Trials (match 5 and 9 or so, not back-to-back)....which is supposed to be impossible.

Lag is a real buzzkill for ToO, and I've decided to not sweat it so much trying to get to the lighthouse. Peer to Peer competitive mp is shit, will always be shit, and Bungie needs to wake the fuck up and realize that it isn't up to snuff for a mode like ToO.

 
On Friday, my fireteam got matched with the same MLG team twice in a row. Needless to say we went 0-10. I still haven't made it past 3 wins. Hopefully Monday will yield some good results.

 
Matt was watchin wrasslin, but I lucked out and got invited to do VOG...got a second fatebringer and the boots I needed on my titan :)

Yesterday, I finally made it to the lighthouse. Ended up teaming with a player my buddy and I got randomly tossed into a team with while playing Elimination. We worked well together (even though we did not have chat going). Lost 1 due to poor connections on the other team. Ended up getting the Pulse Rifle from the lighthouse chest. Fusion rifle from the 6/8 win package.

I see people knocking this map but it is by far my favorite. Did not have to worry about snipers and my go to is pistol/shotgun....so its perfect. I can't stand the wide open maps when its 3v3.

Still need to get at least 5 wins with my Titan (I was a Warlock for the 9-0) to get the Helmet. The Hunters helmet is terrible looking so I am not worried about that one.

Bungie says ToO matchmaking is only about connections. There really needs to be something else, though. The best thing the big fall expansion could bring would be some kind of ranking system in crucible playlists. Halo games had it, so this is something Bungie knows how to do.
 
All I really want is the pulse rifle, but I just ascended the one from VOG to compensate...and I'm leveling the cruicible one as well to see if I like it. Also I want to say "keep the change ya filthy animal" after kills.

 
Finally after playing with randoms I got my Titan Helmet. All I need now are the chest pieces for the Warlock and the Titan (maybe the gloves), but as it stands I could just stop playing ToO cause all I really wanted were the helmets :D/ , tough I still have 5-2 on my titan right now :whistle2:k .

I think there are still tons of players lag switching. Heck saw couple teams with all players wearing the light house emblem. The moment we started winning everyone goes into the red zone. And we had to play the same team 2 times in a row, but still won the 2 games, then I get a message from them saying we screwed up their 7-0 :rofl:

TTK collectors edition includes three shaders and three exotic class items. It's also $80 and includes the base game and first two expansions and a bunch of physical stuff. The digital collectors edition is also $80 and obviously doesn't include the physical stuff.

Also, the shaders and exotic class items aren't available unless you buy a version that includes the full game and first two expansions. So to sum up, fuck you to people who already paid full price for what's been released so far. We'll only give you the cool bonuses if you re buy shit you already have.

Yup. That's how I basically feel about it too. Sounds like PS players will get a few exclusives to help boost the value (a PvP map, a Strike, gear), but it does really need to have some appealing game content. I guess we'll see.
