"On May 15, 2012, the gates of the Burning Hells opened and Diablo III was unleashed onto the world. Since then, millions of heroes have been created, billions of hours have been spent in games, and trillions of demons have been slaughtered without mercy. We've even released an expansion!

To celebrate the game's second anniversary and the community that made it all possible, players who log in to defend Sanctuary this week will receive double Rift Fragments as well as a +100% boost to their chance to find Legendary items. This bonus birthday buff begins in the Americas on Thursday, May 15 at 12:00 a.m. PDT and ends on Thursday, May 22 at 5:00 a.m. PDT."

Crusaders are kind of insane now, not that I'm complaining mind you. Now I feel like I at least have one character that can sort of keep up with the big kids.

I've been making good progress with my monk. I found a nice cookie-cutter Holy build which is easy to play and doesn't make me übersquishy. I've run with a few witch doctors who like the zombie bears though, and I keep thinking that I'd like to try it. One guy had it set up so his bears kinda spread out over a 360° radius as opposed to the usual straight-line casting. It was unbelievably cool. I assume it was a benefit of an item he had.

Question about crafting: I've been getting multiple plans dropping since last week, previously I had none at all. Is there a "best craft list" or similar? I want to know which items will benefit which class.

With my crusader, I am finally able to complete T3 rifts (mostly attributed to my weapon). I took a big "on paper" DPS hit for survivability when I found and equipped [Countess Julia's Cameo], but it's paying off. Stupid Arcane Sentries can kiss my ass, now.

@shrinerr: you should find IT within days, now.

I don't know of a good crafting list but I use the site below and look at the top 25 softcore list for each slot to determine what to look for. I haven't crafted a ton but I would say Aughild set are very popular for doing T3 and higher to make you less squishy. I am also a Cain set junkie for the extra ATK and 50% XP/magic bonus.

How do u use Steam overlay with Diablo motoki?
Easy way:

Make the target field in your Steam shortcut properties this:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo III\Diablo III.exe" --args -launch

Somewhat more complicated but not really as bad as it seems way if you want to retain the Battle.net launcher and still use the Steam overlay in game:

See here. Replace the references to Hearthstone with Diablo III.

The second way takes a few minutes to setup but if you run through the Battle.net client you don't have to re-enter your password in every time.

Don't you mean the little kids, like 10-14 year olds? But, they do call themselves "big kids". Whatever...

Well, I feel like an old fart. I didn't know what PUG meant and had to look it up. I've only done split bounties & a few rift it forward, but not any random public groups. I feel a bit behind everyone else, but not uncomfortably so.

This is fuck ing fantastic. The double rift tokens don't matter to me but the increased Legendary Drop rate is awesome. Makes my experience less rage inducing, lol.
2nd this. i spent most of the past week doing split bounties looking for the [Ring of Royal Grandeur]. i now have >1200 rift key fragments. i'll never use them all.

Should at least do the rifts for the blood shards. I managed to get 2 legendaries for my wizard from blood shard gambling, but I've probably used about ~300 blood shards and only gotten those 2 so far.

What i was trying to say with my poorly thought out post was "Happy the legendary drop rate is staying. And I don't need anymore key fragments, anyway."

Is all the gear you get from the shards crap?  I tried for 3 different things and all of it is worse than what I have.

I would not rely on getting gear from shards. It's a nice little bonus that at times can yield some good stuff, but 98% of the time it will be complete garbage.

This. Basically I just save them up until they're maxed then I run through them real quick and maybe get one or two good things if I'm lucky. It's pretty much gambling and definitely should not be the main source for obtaining legendary equipment. You'd find more decent gear while collecting the shards than you would redeeming them anyway.

+1

Also, it's pretty handy if you're levelling an alt. It takes next to no time to burn through a few levels yet you're left with big gaps in your gear sometimes. Shards solve that problem very easily.

When leveling, I'd look if there's anything level appropriate to craft, because crafting resources are *cheap*... but if you're in one of those under-lv61* crafting gaps it can be handy.

*lv62+ gear defecit problem, there are no rares lv62-65... and a silly amount of lv61s still drop in your upper 60s.

I don't even worry too much in the 60s about upgrading gear once I've got a set of decent 61 stuff. There's really no point. You might as well just wait and start getting serious about it at 70.

The only things that are really good in that range (or below even) is if you get some decent level 70 - X # level requirement gear on another character and use it as a hand me down.

For some reason I was thinking there was a Steel Series Diablo III keyboard but there isn't, just a mouse.

There's a Starcraft II keyboard though that has macro keys and a Battle.net key. :p

I think MysterD and Warreni think Adventure mode is sitting a campfire flirting with Leiliana and getting Morrigan knocked up with a dragon messiah baby.

They're all 'I don't play games after I played them once and beat them....but I want to try that adventure mode!'  :wall:

*Edited to add: Sorry, venting about misinformed people on the Steam deal thread, for those who don't know what the fig I'm talking about.

"I would trade, but I'm going to roll [insert whatever class I'm playing] next".

That's the line I'm met with now in every single pub game where someone gets something I could use immediately. It's not like I'm trying to trade for a Thunderfury either. I could offer 3-4 legs for a damn Gungdo Gear or Chaingmail and that's the response I'd get. Nobody wants to ever trade.

Oh man that use to happen to me a few times. I remember someone found a Harringtons belt that he said he didn't need. I asked him if he was going to keep it and offered 5 legs (pretty much souls) and he told me he would only trade it for a witching hour. As you can guess I never found it and he probably salvaged it.

There's a community group for same-class rift-runs (sharing-oriented)... I can't remeber what it's called,

you can add me, if you want (Bubzers#1438). I'm searching for very specific gear. Everything else, if anyone likes what I find, I give it away.

Finally pre-ordered Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition for the PS4. I was *this* close to picking D3 up on PC when it was clearance'd for $22 at Target, but my laptop wouldn't do it justice. Plus, I'm hearing great things about the console versions of D3.

It's really good on PS3, i'll be getting the ps4 version too. its gonna be great

The console version is rad but I'd advise people that Blizzard has left it to stagnate without updates for something like 9 months now. As someone who owns the PC version as well it's difficult to go back to the console version outside of local co-op sessions as it simply feels old (in a bad way) in comparison.

edit: Oh and tons of hacked items/characters in public games so expect to be playing only local/friend games if you care at all about that.

I would imagine that the "Ultimate Evil Edition" with Reaper of Souls being included means the base game will be updated to the (almost) latest version as well.

Boy, as someone who has purchased D3, D3 (PS3), and RoS, I'd really love for there to be some sort of PS3>PS4 discount upgrade plan. Not holding my breath, but it'd be nice.

Hey, all. I just noticed this thread for some reason and would like to find some friendly CAGs to do Rift runs and keystone farming with whenever we happen to be on at the same time. All my champs are 70, and two of them (WD, Crusader) can comfortably solo T2 rifts; the rest are at T1 for now. Those two can handle T3 but it takes me a while if I get a tough rift and I might die several times in a T3 solo.

Mostly playing pet build WD lately and using my Blood Shards to hopefully get good stuff for my Barb.

Today I decided to not immediately turn in a Legendary Plan I picked up. Obviously a good idea, because then I got a duplicate of that plan 5 minutes later. :wall:

Anyway, my BattleTag is Pangolin#1250

Feel free to add me if you want to play and are around the same level. :)
